Camera And Recording Device Patents (Class 386/224)
  • Patent number: 11960540
Abstract: A process for tagging incident data captured by non-public-safety agency controlled cameras. In operation, an electronic computing device detects an occurrence of an incident and obtains an incident identifier associated with the incident. The electronic computing device determines that a non-public-safety agency controlled camera is available for capturing incident data corresponding to the incident. The electronic computing device then controls a public-safety agency controlled internet-of-things (IoT) infrastructure deployed at an incident location to emit a signal including one of an audible signal, visible signal, or a combination of audible and visible signals to enable the non-public-safety agency controlled camera to tag incident data using the emitted signal. The electronic computing device links a unique tag representing the emitted signal to the incident identifier.

Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, an audio/video (A/V) device that includes a first camera for generating first image data and one or more second cameras for both motion detection and generating second image data. For instance, the A/V device may generate and then store the second image data in one or more buffers. The A/V device may then detect an event, such as possible motion of an object. Based on detecting the event, A/V device may cause the one or more second cameras to cease generating the second image data and cause the first camera to begin generating the first image data. The A/V device may then process the second image data and send the processed second image data to a computing system. Next, the A/V device may process the first image data and send the processed first image data to the computing system.

  • Patent number: 11165848
Abstract: A technique for evaluating qualitative streaming experience using session performance metadata is disclosed herein. A pipeline of a streaming service can be adapted to collect metadata, such as timestamps, from various components of the pipeline. The metadata can then be analyzed to calculate an objective quality metric for each streaming session using weighted scores derived from the metadata for a plurality of different components including, but not limited to, stutter, latency, and/or picture quality. The quality metric is designed to have high correlation with subjective measures of quality by users of the streaming service, but provides dense data samples compared to typical sparse responses collected from user feedback (e.g., user surveys). The objective quality metric can be utilized to quickly adjust, either manually or automatically, the streaming service parameters to improve the quality of the streaming service due to changes in, e.g., streaming content.

  • Patent number: 10699749
Abstract: An exemplary virtual reality system accesses metadata describing a plurality of frame sequences that each include two-dimensional color data frames and depth data frames that depict a different view of a three-dimensional (3D) scene. The virtual reality system identifies a set of experience parameters defining a particular virtual reality experience associated with the 3D scene and that is to be experienced by a user using a media player device. Based on the metadata and the set of experience parameters, the virtual reality system selects frame sequences from the plurality of frame sequences for inclusion in a frame sequence subset that is customized to the particular virtual reality experience and that collectively includes data sufficient to allow the media player device to generate a virtual 3D representation of the 3D scene. The virtual reality system also provides the selected frame sequences of the frame sequence subset to the media player device.

  • Patent number: 10643446
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for detecting objects or patient safety events in a patient room. Artificial intelligence is utilized to enhance safety issue recognition capabilities by the methods and systems. Sensors collect a series of images and depth data in a room of a patient. Data (corresponding to images and depth data of an object or patient safety event) is received from the sensors and compared to stored data to identify the object or patient safety event. The images are communicated to a central video monitoring system and a user may be prompted to confirm if the object requires learning or a patient safety event occurred (or identify the object or patient safety event) or to provide additional parameters or actions. A patient safety learning system analyzes the data and incorporates the user response to enhance safety issue recognition capabilities of the system and reduce false alerts.

Abstract: A door access control method includes capturing an identification information of a person in an identity verification range. A hand gesture of the person is detected when the captured identification information matches with an authenticated identification information. A door access operation is carried out to permit the person to pass through the door when the hand gesture is identified correct. On the other hand, when the person makes an incorrect hand gesture, does not make any hand gesture, or is located outside of the identity verification range, the door access operation is not carried out to prohibit any person from passing through the door.
