Electromotor Operated Patents (Class 40/414)
  • Patent number: 11738282
Abstract: A self-rotating display device (1) includes and outer light transmissive container (2) containing a light transmissive fluid (6) and a body (4) containing an electric motor (14) for rotating the body with respect to the outer container. The body also carries a compass magnet (18) as a source of counter-torque for the motor to operate against. A magnetic positioning structure (20) made of ferromagnetic material secured to the container interacts with the magnetic field of the compass magnet to cause the body to migrate toward a location minimizing the distance between the magnetic positioning structure and compass magnet, so that the body can remain centered within the display while rotating.

Abstract: An animated Christmas tree includes a trunk member having a plurality of openings and an actuating member positioned within the trunk member and extending substantially the length thereof and being operable between an extended position and a collapsed position. A plurality of flexible tree branches are anchored to the actuating member and extend outwardly from the trunk member. Upon movement of the actuating member in the trunk member, the tree branches move between the collapsed position and the extended position.

  • Patent number: 6722064
Abstract: An active display device includes a motorized base and a transparent display. The base unit includes a magnetic drive, which communicates magnetically with a magnetically attractive rotor or agitator in the bottom of the display unit to circulate the fluid within the display unit and any particulate matter mixed therein. The purely magnetic communication between base and display eliminates all mechanical passages therebetween, thereby precluding potential leakage routes from the display component and permitting the display to be readily removed and replaced atop the base. The display may include a magnetically movable floor or other panel, if desired, with the floor panel disposed between the magnetic rotor and the display having a series of passages therethrough to permit liquid circulation, but precluding passage of particles beneath the floor to the rotor area. The base may include numerous additional features, such as an audio system, remote actuation, lighting, etc.

Abstract: The present invention includes the basic components of traditional liquid ornament, which means an ornamental is in the “water ball”. However, the ornamental in the present invention can achieve the effect of three-dimensional movement. The present invention uses at least one string to connect the ornamental object with two passive magnetic objects (e.g. magnet, iron), so that the ornamental will move accordingly when two passive magnetic objects move. Furthermore, the relative position of two passive magnetic objects is also variable so that the ornamental can achieve the effect of three-dimensional movement.

Abstract: A toy for producing a three dimensional aesthetically pleasing illuminated image. The toy includes a handle, a light source, a rotary drive mechanism, and a plate-like member having an outer surface at least a portion of which is a holographic diffraction surface. The plate-like member is arranged to be rotated about a longitudinal axis so that light received by the holographic diffraction surface produces an aesthetically pleasing illuminated three-dimensional image. The plate-like member can be mounted so that it moves along the axis with respect to the handle as it is rotated and can include a transparent sphere containing a three dimensional object, e.g., a cartoon character, therein.
