  • Patent number: 5598746
Abstract: A transmission assembly used to connect with a rotatable ornament or a toy to provide bilateral rotations for achieving their cosmetic effect comprises a casing enclosing a set of three pinions which are driven by a battery-operated electrical circuit therein. An elastic rectangular bar used to restrict the rotary extent of a first pinion will elastically obstruct the rotary movement of the pinion in order to provide continuous bilateral rotation and each turn of the bilateral rotation will exceed 360.degree. without making any noise. The noses of the spindles of the pinions are formed as tapering sockets or as tapering pointed plugs to enhance the intensity of the assembly. Most of the components in this assembly are made integrally of plastic material so as to reduce the time and cost to manufacture.

  • Patent number: 5483763
Abstract: A water filled crystal ball with undulating pivot arms is disclosed. The important parts comprise a central rotating shaft, a bushing, undulating pivot arms, and a rotating disk. It is the rotating motion of the central rotating shaft that is the driving force. It is the outer bushing which is the levering force that causes an up and down undulation of the pivot arms inside the glass sphere of the crystal ball. Decorative objects above the fixed disk are moved by a track which is fixed to the top of a rotating disk and move in a level radial back and forth fashion. This produces a scene in which there are multiple directions of motion of decorative objects within a glass sphere.

Also, the decoration includes a motor connected through the sensor switch to the power supply, a drive mechanism connected to the motor so as to be actuated thereby, and a core in the form of a wire operatively connected to the drive mechanism so as to be rotated depending on actuation of the drive mechanism. On the core is loosely fitted a hollow element such as a artificial plant, a doll or the like so that it may be meanderingly moved depending on and separate from rotation of the core.

Abstract: In an artificial-flower toy apparatus operative in response to sensing of external sound, a sound-sensing operational unit is contained within a container and includes a motor which has a driving shaft. The sound-sensing operational unit senses the external sound to drive the motor. An artificial-flower dancing unit is contained within the container and includes an angularly movable shaft and at least one artificial flower which has a stem and a core rod inserted in the stem. The core rod of the artificial flower has a lower end portion which is connected to the angularly movable shaft for angular movement therewith about an axis of the angularly movable shaft. The artificial flower is mounted on the container in an upstanding manner. The angularly movable shaft is interlocked with the driving shaft of the motor for angular movement about the axis of the angularly movable shaft, so that the artificial flower is danced by the motor of the sound-sensing operational unit.

Abstract: A toy band assembly including a stage assembly, a plurality of movable toy figures, such as toy frog figures, a plurality of toy musical instruments, a sound pick-up unit, a stage lights assembly, power supply, a power supply switch, an integrated circuit, a front transmission mechanism, a front reciprocating mechanism, a rear transmission mechanism, and a rear reciprocating mechanism. When the power supply switch is switched on, light bulbs in a stage lights assembly start to flash and the sound pick-up unit picks up sound signals from the surroundings and directs electric signals to the integrated circuit. The integrated circuit electrically connects the power supply means to a front and a rear motor when sufficient electrical signal is received. The front and rear motors rotate and translate their rotations to the front and rear transmission mechanisms and to the front and rear reciprocating mechanisms.

Abstract: A sound activated toy includes a casing having a lower receiving space and an upper receiving space, a sound activated control circuit disposed inside the lower receiving space, a motor similarly disposed inside the lower receiving space and actuated by the control circuit, and a spout enclosure provided in and communicated with the upper receiving space. The spout enclosure is disposed adjacent to the lower receiving space and has a top wall with at least one spout hole. A propeller assembly is confined inside the spout enclosure. A toy figure mechanism is disposed above the spout enclosure inside the upper receiving space. Both the propeller assembly and the toy figure mechanism are moved by the motor. When a predetermined amount of water is received in the upper receiving space and the control circuit starts to actuate the motor, movement of the propeller assembly forces water from the upper receiving space into the spout enclosure so as to generate a water spout at each spout hole.
