Abstract: A durable holder for retaining and displaying cards is disclosed. When the holder is manufactured from opaque materials, an inserted card is readily displayed to viewers without requiring removal of the card. The holder includes a clip for securing the holder to an object quickly and efficiently. A second clip may be secured to the first clip thereby further allowing the holder to be alternately attached to other articles.

Abstract: A price cassette with a back part which has panes to hold interchangeable item identification and/or price labels which are separated by vertical webs, whereby on the back part there are vertical guides, over which the at least partly transparent front part can be slid. The price cassette is thereby curved around an imaginary axis which is horizontal to the item identification and price signs, and the axis of which lies behind the price cassette. The item identification and price information displayed thereby appears more plastic and elegant. The only action required to change this item identification and price information is to open the price cassette partway up or down. The item identification and price signs thereby remain fixed in place.

Abstract: A plastic price channel for attachment along the front edge of a merchandise display shelf to carry labelling pertaining to articles on the shelf has a main body panel and a see-through cover joined to the body panel along its bottom edge so that non-adhesive labels can be fitted between the body panel and the cover. The top edge of the cover can be engaged behind a resilient top lip on the body panel to releasably lock the cover in place and a forwardly extending channel-shaped formation is provided along the top edge of the cover in which the top lip is received. The channel-shaped formation has an upwardly extending outer limb forming a gripping element by which the top edge of the cover can be disengaged from behind the top lip by finger pressure exerted downwardly on the gripping element.

Abstract: An extruded plastic price channel can be fitted in a C-channel at the front of a merchandise shelf to provide a mounting for merchandise labelling. The price channel includes a label panel and a leg extending from the back of the label panel. A top edge of the label panel and a free end of the leg snap behind upper and lower lips of the C-channel to retain the price channel in place with the label panel angled to the vertical. The top edge of the label panel has an improved design to enhance its grip in the C-channel. The price channel may also include a transparent co-extruded cover for the front of the label panel to retain non-adhesive labels.

Abstract: A valance assembly designed for attachment to existing, in-store display fixtures is disclosed. The valance assembly is completely assembled prior to in-store delivery, and requires only the unfolding of hinged mounting brackets for installation. The valance assembly is intended to carry graphics displays or headers such as advertisements or merchandise promotional information.

Abstract: An advertising display for holding and displaying printed advertisements above a flat surface includes first and second transparent, vertical plates disposed parallel to and in close proximity to one another and a support for holding the first and second transparent parallel plates above a flat surface. The support includes first and second diagonally disposed leg portions, each of which includes two parallel plates and an end piece which attaches the two parallel plates at an edge thereof. The first and second vertical plates are capable of holding a first advertisement therebetween in a replaceable manner while the plates of the first and second leg portions are capable of holding second and third advertisements therebetween in a permanent manner. The advertising display further includes a lip attached to one of the vertical plates which comes into contact with the other of the vertical plates for retaining the first advertisement therebetween.

Abstract: A unitary injection-molded plastic holder frame for displaying an advertising placard or the like has four frame sides connected at their ends into a rectangle, a contiguous trio of the sides having generally coplanar mutually directed shallow channels therein for receiving the side margins along three sides of the placard with the remaining frame side being slotted along its length to separate that side into two parallel frame strip. The slot is in coplanar relation to said shallow channels and communicates at its ends with the corresponding ends of the channels in two opposite frame sides whereby the placard can be inserted via the slot into the frame with the margins of its three sides protruding into said channels.

Abstract: A display holder (10) is formed from a main frame member that is a single extrusion. The main frame member includes opposite edge frame portions (28, 30) and a center panel (10). Frame portions (64, 66) snap onto the ends of a center panel (10) to complete a frame that extends entirely about the periphery of the display holder (10). The display holder (10) may be mounted by a mounting member (44) which includes a hinge strip (92). Hinge strip (92) and a pair of mounting member flanges (42, 90) may be made by a co-extrusion process. A rigid structural plastic is used to form the flanges (42, 90). A bendable, resilient plastic is used to form the hinge strip (96). The hinge strip (96) will bend in response to a side force applied to the display holder (10). Hinge strip (92) will act as a spring and will swing the display holder (10) back to its at rest position when the force is removed.

Abstract: A card holder extrusion mounted on a conventional card holder located in front of a shelf. One or more cards with a hooking tongue having a pair of parallel longitudinal edges are removably mounted on the conventional card holder. This card holder extrusion includes a substantially flat body having a front face, a rear face and parallel longitudinal upper and lower edges. The flat body is fastened to a conventional card holder. A card is removably mounted in the card holder extrusion. A card holder assembly results from the combination of one card holder extrusion and at least one card. A method for removably mounting the card holder extrusion on a conventional card holder and a method for mounting and removing a card from the card holder extrusion is also disclosed.

Abstract: An extruded plastic price channel can be fitted in a C-channel at the front of a merchandise shelf to provide a mounting for merchandise labelling. The price channel includes a label panel and a leg extending from the back of the label panel. Abstract: A modular watch box having a base with a watch holder disposed thereon is provided. The base also includes a feature ticket plate that is selectively removable from the base. A price tab ticket is also selectively insertible into a groove formed in the base. The base is releasably coupleable to a back panel by a snap-fit closure, and a front cover frictionally engages the base and back panel to obtain a secure closure. The front cover includes a cut-out portion and the back panel includes a slit in alignment with the groove in the base in order to allow a customized price tab ticket to be inserted into the box even when the box is close. Thus, each customer (retail supplier) of a watch sold in the present box may receive a desired price tab ticket with store information as well as model number and price information provided thereon.

Abstract: A display assembly for sequentially dispensing a plurality of card-like samples in an upright position is disclosed. The assembly comprises a planar back panel, a retaining member having a pivotable hinge and receiving member for engaging the retaining member to the back panel for maintaining the card-like samples in upright contact with the back panel.

Abstract: A display card holder fixable to an underside metal surface of a shelf. It comprises a sheet of transparent plastic material, folded in flat segments in order to present the card to be displayed at an angle. The segment to be attached to the underside metal surface of the shelf has a magnet in the form of a strip adhesively fixed thereto.

Abstract: A holder for sheet or strip shaped information carriers, includes a transparent front plate (1) and a back support plate (2) adapted to be mounted on a support (5, 5a-5c), especially a shelf edge. A hinge coupling (3) interconnects the front plate (1) with the support plate (2) in such manner that the front plate (1) can be moved between a use-position (FIG. 1) in which the front plate (1) is parallel with the support plate (2) and can retain information carriers between the plates (1,2), and a position for exchange of information carriers (FIG. 2) in which the front plate (1) is pulled down from the use-position and tilted forwardly from the support plate (2). The coupling (3) is preferably adapted to permit forwardly tilting of the front plate (1) only after the same has been moved a certain distance down from the use-position. The information carriers are e.g. labels containing price information and/or other product information.

This first flat body is removably insertable into a U-shaped envelope formed by the front and back panels of a second flat transparent body. The front and back panels are joined at one common end edge and are not connected along their longitudinal edges nor at their other end edges.

Abstract: A sign system for conveying merchandise identifying and pricing information. A frame is provided having viewing regions for supporting and displaying information. Contained within at least one of the viewing regions are alphameric or numeric symbols which are contained on longitudinally extending strips of polymeric material which are characterized as comprising score portion of two or more substantially parallel extending cuts which pass through a substantial but not total thickness of the strip. Alphameric or numeric symbols which are not to be viewed are hidden behind those which are to be viewed by folding the vertically extending strip along the score portion.

Abstract: An improved card holder or jacket of the kind adapted for supporting a hospital patient identification card on a printer anvil. The holder comprises a card supporting base panel having along one edge an upstanding flange for guiding the card against sliding displacement from the panel. The panel also has along said one edge a card hold-down and protector for said edge and located in spaced clearance protective adjacent relation to the guide flange. At least the base panel is made of ferromagnetic material for cooperation with magnetic hold-down such as a magnetic strip on the printer anvil.

Abstract: A universal label holder having a plurality of attachments which are functionally designed for different kinds of display units. The label holder has a first assembly extending therefrom that allows a display unit attachment to be connected thereto. Several different display unit attachments each having a second assembly to connect to the first assembly may be used with the label holder. The different display unit attachments also each have fixing part to connect to a display unit. Thus, the universal label support achieves uniform labeling for a group of different display units in the same store.

Abstract: A combination leash and card holder is provided and consists of a rectangular plate with structures thereon for mounting the plate to a cage bar or a wall. The plate also has structures thereon for holding a pet identification card and a pet leash thereto.

The card holder comprises a card holding member, a latch and an urging member disposed inside a card case body and a hook provided on one of first and second plate-like members of the card base body, characterized in that an inserted card is pressed against the urging force of an urging member so as to be held in a card accommodating position, and the card is further pressed from the card accommodating position so as to release the same from being held at the card accomodating position, thereby forcing out the card into a card insertion slot of a card case body by the urging force of the urging member.

Abstract: A display device for a picture includes an aquarium having upstanding side walls, a closed bottom and an open top. A cover member is provided over the open top and has a slot for receiving a picture such as a photograph. A water-tight member depends from the slot in the cover member, and the water-tight member is formed of a transparent material so as to be able to receive the picture to display it within the aquarium.

Abstract: A label mounting apparatus includes a molding member which is mounted on a support, such as a shelf. The apparatus also includes an elongated carrier for labels corresponding to items on the support. To permit the carrier to be mounted on the molding member at a desired angle, detents are provided on the carrier and on the molding member or the corner of the support.

Abstract: This invention addresses securing and protecting encoded identification tags to movable enclosures. More specifically, this invention utilizes a base frame member in cooperation with a top frame member to secure the encoded identification tag in upward, downward, outward and side-to-side directions. While securing the encoded identication tag, this invention accommodates scanning of the tag from the top, bottom and front sides and allows safe removal and replacement of encoded identification tags.

Abstract: A pad for covering a work surface comprising a thin transparent cover over a base layer. A portions of the cover is secured to the base layer so that the balance of the cover is liftable upwardly therefrom to receive and retain between the cover and the base layer sheet materials bearing visual information of utility to a user. The information is then visible to the user through the transparent cover. Alternatively, the cover may be attached to the base layer so as to produce therebetween a pouch opening at an edge of the pad to receive such sheet materials. The top surface of the cover can optionally be textured to provide a substitute work surface upon which to write or operate a computer mouse. The bottom surface of the base pad is textured to prevent slipping of the device on the work surface.

Abstract: A label holder for use on the rim of a parts bin is made of a sheet of plastic material divided by transverse fold lines into five rectangular panels. The central panel fits on top of the rim and the outer panels are bend downwardly into substantially V-shaped configurations. The outer panels snap respectively into engagement with the front and rear portions of the rim to lock the holder releasably in place. The holder can be used with adhesive and non-adhesive labels.

Abstract: A sign holder is disclosed for use in attaching label cards or other signs in prominent positions projecting from a front edge of supermarket and like product display shelves. The sign holder has a box-shaped body portion made of a plastic sheet with a slit therein for receiving a label or other card. A mounting panel extends from the box-shaped body portion for attachment to an upper surface of a shelf with the body portion projecting from the front of the shelf. The mounting panel may have a depressable head formation for insertion in a perforation of a perforated shelf.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a picture frame made entirely of injection molded transparent plastic material. The frame includes a generally planar front side and a back side divided into a viewing area and a border area. The viewing area is generally planar and the border area has corner support and positioning members extending from each of the four corners and a holding member extending from the central part of each of the sides. The holding member includes a positioning portion for assisting and positioning a picture and backing card to be inserted into the frame and extensions for holding the picture and backing card in place once positioned. In addition, the backing card includes a perforated line and two bend lines. Spacing between the corner members and support members allows a finger to break a perforated line and bend a portion of the perforation to form a stand for displaying the picture.

Abstract: A display frame [10] for displaying photographs and other sheet-like articles comprises an outer shell [11], a liner [20] and a threaded cap [33]. The outer shell is transparent, generally cup-shaped and has a tapered inner wall [15]. The liner has a tapered outer surface [23] upon which are positioned a series of ribs [26], with the taper of the outer surface of the liner closely matched to that of the inner wall of the outer shell. Photographs or photocopies may be secured to one another and trimmed into an arcuate array [30]and the array placed within the outer shell. As the liner is inserted into the outer shell, the ribs contact the array and act as "skis" to allow the liner to be moved relative to the array without tearing, crumpling or otherwise marking the array.

Abstract: Disclosed is a display sign holder in the form of a semi-rigid rectangular sheet of optically clear plastic having elongated flat spacing structures extending along its top and bottom margin areas on one side so as to space the plastic sheet from a supporting surface and guide the longitudinal insertion and removal of an elongated display sign therebetween. The spacing structures are flat strips printed with ink on one or both sides to permanently display marginal information or design, and relatively thin transparent adhesive layers are disposed on both sides of the strips to adhere them to the plastic sheet and to the supporting surface.

Abstract: A clasp slidable and removably mountable on a merchandise display hook for removably mounting a consumer information flag to the merchandise display hook. Facilitates mounting and dismounting such consumer information flag by eliminating the necessity therefor to dismount the cooperating merchandise display hook or to remove adjacently-displayed merchandise. Enables mounting such consumer information flag regardless of the means of attachment of the merchandise display hook to the cooperating display board, and at any radial orientation with respect to the major axis of such hook. Enables inventory control specific to an individual merchandise display hook.

Abstract: A frame for displaying informational sheet material on a steel refrigerator. Permanent magnets are formed in the frame to magnetically adhere the frame to the refrigerator surface. The frame is preferably formed of thin-walled plastic tubing to reduce total frame weight.

Abstract: A sign holder includes a frame secured to a clevis journaled on a bracket for attachment to a price channel at the edge of a display shelf for projecting the frame, and a sign carried in the frame, laterally from the shelf edge into a display position of the sign, the clevis including an integral camming surface and a resiliently flexible arm for allowing swinging of the frame relative to the bracket out of the display position of the sign in response to collisions with the sign when the frame is in the display position of the sign, the establishing a biasing force tending to return the frame to and maintain the frame in the display position of the sign.

Abstract: An improved subscriber circuit identification construction for use directly upon telephone connector blocks having detachable block engaging device selectively positioning the identifying indicia in one of plural locations relative to an exposed surface of the block. The construction includes an elongated holder element having resilient projections arranged in parallel rows and selectively engaging corresponding bores extending from the surface of the connector block, the holder element retaining a replaceable indicia bearing strip. Depending upon the selected location, the holder element is positioned laterally of identified contacts on the block so as to allow ready access to them, or the holder element is positioned to overlie said contacts to provide a protective cover function.

The lock box door protector comprises a plastic sleeve or strip that fits over the doorknob and is positioned between the door and the lock box. A pocket on the lock box door protector proffers a supply of business cards to potential buyers.

Abstract: A front loading sign assembly includes a flexible, rectangular sign panel; and a rectangular sign frame lying generally in a first major plane and providing a front side to be viewed and a back wall integral with each of the four frame members. First and second facing parallel frame members of the frame are provided with overhanging lips. The rectangular flexible sign panel is installed by inserting it under these overhanging lips. Third and fourth frame members of the sign frame are provided with smooth sides in contact with sides of the sign panel when it is installed to prevent access to the panel and removal of the panel. A fulcrum extends outwardly from the back wall of the sign frame in parallel relationship to and midway between the first and second frame members. Manual pressure on the sign panel between the fulcrum and the first frame member causes the end of the sign panel adjacent the second frame member to spring clear of the sign frame assembly so that the panel can be removed.

Abstract: A handle for a drawer or the like comprising an elongated body with a slot in its front to removably receive a colored decorator strip, the slot extending over most of the length of the body. A curved surface is provided behind the front to permit gripping the handle by one's fingers.

Abstract: An organizational aid for EDP paper sheets is provided which permits adaptation to different EDP paper sizes. To this end the feed holes (15) located at the side margins of EDP paper sheets (11) are utilized. A fixed carrier member (10) has mounting elements (20, 26, 28) disposed thereon which comprise a bar (20) and two holding members (26, 28). U-shaped clamps (40) for accommodating and fixing the paper sheets (11) are detachably secured in the holding members (26, 28). One (28) of said holding members is movable along the longitudinal direction of the bar (20) while the other holding member (26) is fixedly joined to the bar (20) (FIG. 1).

Abstract: The combination comprising a pad including a plurality of sheets of paper in juxtaposed array capable of being removed one by one and a holder attachable to a support and including a prong for support of the sheets of paper of the pad. The sheets of paper have respective holes and slits aligned with one another through which the prong is inserted, the slits extending radially from the holes. The prong includes a shank and an enlarged head forming shoulders at a juncture therebetween, the slits having a length related to the dimensions of the holes, the shank, the head and the shoulders to permit insertion of the head of the prong through the holes and slits from the back of the pad such that the head of the prong exits at the front of the pad and the sheets of paper rest on the shank and are restrained at the front of the pad by the shoulders.

Abstract: A changeable copy sign assembly comprising a plurality of wafers each bearing a single indicium on a relatively opaque background. The wafers and a backing strip are removeably retained to a face plate of the assembly at an elongated, window-like opening, and the backing strip comprises opaque makings for preventing the leakage of light between adjacent wafers.

Abstract: A point-of-purchase display is disclosed, which is assembled from a single, folded piece of two-dimensionally rigid material. When assembled, the display includes a vertical display face which is rigidly supported in a plane perpendicular to a vertical support surface. The vertical support surface is suitable for attachment to typical store display shelves. The display face is held in place by a tab which includes a slot, the tab being attached to one edge of the support surface and cooperating with an edge of the display face.

Abstract: A reel assembly which comprises right and left halves of a reel interconnected by a connecting member. The width of the reel assembly is adjusted by the length of the connecting member. The right and left halves of the reel each have a rim and a holding ring with a narrow space therebetween, into which the margins of a reel tape are inserted and held.
