Abstract: A lamp pen includes a pen body, a refill, a conductive rotating slide, a lamp, and a cartridge holding a battery. The rotating slide is electrically connected to the battery. A conductive bar on a surface of the slide abuts an end of the cartridge, which comprises a helical surface forming higher and auxiliary higher slots disposed at a highest point of the surface. A first lead of the lamp is connected to the battery, and a second lead is affixed within the higher slot. Rotating the slide causes the conductive bar to engage either the higher slot or auxiliary higher slot, pushing the cartridge downward so that the refill extends out of the pen tip. When the higher slot is engaged, the second lead of the lamp connects to the conductive bar, the electric circuit completes, and the lamp illuminates.

Abstract: A cosmetic applicator includes an application assembly comprising a non-rigid container including an upper opening, a neck adjacent thereto, and a reservoir for storing a liquid cosmetic; and a massaging mechanism; and a vibration mechanism mounted to an outer surface of the container by securing to the neck and a lower portion of the container. The cosmetic applicator can provide a user with a pleasing “feel” when rubbed against the skin with the dispensed lotion and when the vibration mechanism activates.

The locking cap assembly is inserted into an end of the hollow body of the writing instrument. The locking cap assembly comprises a compressive locking cap. The compressive locking cap comprises a compression fastener, a cap, and a nut. The compression fastener and cap have a hole and one end of the tether passes completely through the compressive locking cap through the hole. The nut is coupled to the end of the tether that passed completely through the compressive locking cap.

Abstract: A hand-held instrument comprising a writing utensil and associated handles interconnected to each other to allow a user to selectively position the writing utensil in either an extended position of use or a closed position of storage, as well as a variety of positions there between. The writing utensil may take a variety of forms, and the handles may incorporate additional devices or tools. The rotation of the handles about the writing utensil allows a user to manipulate the handles in a variety of ways, similar to that of a “butterfly knife” or similar device comprising balisong style openings. In one aspect of the invention, the writing instrument may be used to perform moves or tricks as a novelty device to provide entertainment and enjoyment to a user.

Abstract: Systems for removing or attenuating friction and/or click noise generated during writing with a smart pen are disclosed. In a smart pen, the writing cartridge is biased towards a first side of the smart pen internal cavity by a low-force biasing system without affecting writing cartridge movement. For example, the writing cartridge is comprised of a magnetic material and a magnet is embedded into the first side of the smart pen internal cavity to bias the writing cartridge towards the first side. Alternatively, the material comprising the writing cartridge or smart pen internal cavity is modified, reducing friction between the components. As another alternative, a DSP method identifies analyzes one or more parameters of received audio data to differentiate click noise from audio data, and may receive data from a movement sensor indicating when the writing cartridge has moved to reduce power consumption for identifying click noise.

Abstract: An electronic assembly that produces audile signals, such as prerecorded phrases, when activated. The electronics assembly is part of a secondary device, such as a pen, utensil, jewelry, or similar small object. The electronics assembly includes a housing having a first end and an opposite second end. A battery casing is disposed within the housing. The battery casing is sized to retain a plurality of concentrically stacked button cell batteries. An electronics module is provided within the housing for producing audible signals. A spring extends from the electronics module into the battery casing and biases the button cell batteries into a stacked configuration. The electronics module is powered, in part, by electricity flow through said spring from the button cell batteries.

Abstract: A combination bookmark and highlighter device composed of a flat and thin bookmark body that may be marked with text or images. This bookmark body will have a head end and a back end. The head end of the bookmark body will have highlighter attached, often positioned within a slot in the head end of the bookmark body. The highlighter portion will usually contain a protruding highlighter tip positioned so that a user may grasp the device and use the tip to mark other objects. The bookmark portion of the body will be both thin and relatively stiff. Most of the portion of the bookmark body will not be occupied by the highlighter, so that the majority of the thin flat portion of the bookmark portion may be used as bookmark, leaving only a small portion of the bookmark body and highlighter body protruding from the book.

Abstract: A novelty golf ball-shaped measuring device is described. The golf ball assembly is split into two halves, one having a wireless receiver and display while the other has a transponder that is activated by an RF transmitter. Distance between the halves is calculated using the received wireless signal and is shown on the display. A pen-shaped device is also described in which the cap houses the display, and the pen barrel houses the transponder. Other sport and household item-shaped devices that split into multiple parts to measure and display distances are envisioned.

Abstract: A toothbrush combined with a toothpaste dispenser with a wall mounted holder. The present invention comprises of a twist knob that is able to push a piston up a toothpaste compartment. The piston creates pressure inside the toothpaste compartment and causes the toothpaste to travel up a main channel. The main channel branches into a plurality of smaller tubes. Each tube has a respective rubber tube dispenser that protrudes and extends from the brush head. The rubber tube dispensers allow the toothpaste to be dispensed on top of the bristles. The toothbrush additionally comprises of a mouthwash strip roll dispensing mechanism positioned in the knob.

Abstract: A hand-held dental appliance provides a complete, portable dental care system. The appliance stores toothpaste in a toothpaste delivery canister. The appliance has a removable cover to protect a toothpaste dispensing toothbrush unit that is separably connected to the canister, The toothbrush unit has a brush head at the end of a stem ending with a connector for joining with a cooperating canister connector. When the brush unit and canister connectors are joined, a dispenser tip at the connector end of the canister fluidly communicates with a distributed orifice disposed within a bristle array on the brush head by means of a fluid-communicating passage in the stem leading from the joined connectors through the orifice. The orifice is overlapped by a set of resilient flaps enabling toothpaste to flow into the bristles but inhibiting backflow through the orifice. The size and shape of the canister enables it to be gripped for brushing with the brush head.

The device may generally comprise a fluid applicator and a textile base member for sanitizing gym equipment, wiping windows, applying sunscreen, and the like. The textile base member may include but is not limited to a hand towel, a wristband, and any other known textile configurations. In one embodiment, the present invention may be used by gym patrons to sanitized gym equipment before and/or after use. The letter opening device also includes a cutting blade extending between the elongate clip and the protrusion to open a letter when the letter is passed between the elongate clip and the writing instrument from the distal end toward said writing end. The protrusion may alternatively be coupled to a sleeve for removable attachment to the writing instrument.

The pen flower further comprises a flower pot containing smooth spherical elements such as marbles or beads. A plurality of flower pens are placed in the spherical elements in the flower pot with the flowers on at least some of the instruments being located outside the pot whereby the writing instruments are held in the flower pot in a manner which produces an appearance of a potted flower while also allowing each writing instrument to be easily removed from the pot for use and replaced into the pot to re-establish the potted flower effect.

The present invention also comprises with a magnet pen which includes a pen tip and a pen shaft, of which the pen tip used is same as the capsule magnet pen tip. The present invention uses lead-free or low-lead environmental material to avoid lead poisoning and pollution. The magnet has contact with the part of the inverted triangle-shaped and the inner-cylinder of the cover only; so it is more protective of the magnet. The semi-spherical pen tip reduces attrition with the drawing board, and also reduces the risk of poke to children. Abstract: The invention provides an electrically driven dispensing device, particularly a toothbrush, utilising replaceable pressurised cartridges, of the bag-in-can type. The toothbrush has a ‘top-loading’ structure in which the cartridge is housed in a recess at the brush end of the toothbrush handle, the recess being accessible by removing the brush head. Other features include an elastomeric valve outlet located on the brush head which can also function as a tooth wiping or polishing blade, and a non-linear drive shaft which enables the brush head to be driven from a motor located at the based end of the handle whilst keeping the handle slim in design. The invention further provides bag-in-can pressurised cartridges for use in such a brush. Advantages of such cartridges include the ability to uniformly dose dentifrice of high solids content, or dentifrice otherwise having a high viscosity. Abstract: A toothbrush with an integral toothpaste dispenser has a handle portion and a toothbrush portion. A commercially available toothpaste tube is opened at one end and contained within a central aperture of the handle of the integral toothbrush. Toothpaste from the toothbrush tube is discharged into a channel contained within the toothbrush portion and exits between the toothbrush bristles through a non-return valve positioned close to a bristle exit aperture. Toothpaste is squeezed by upward movement of a pedestal supporting the toothpaste tube when the user turns a knob on the bottom of the handle. The toothpaste tube is supported by a vertical support tube within the central aperture of the handle, producing an accordion-like, uniform, progressive toothpaste tube collapse. The non-return valve is only open during toothpaste delivery and thereby prevents toothpaste spills. The close proximity between the toothpaste exit aperture and the non-return valve enables the toothpaste to remain moist between brushings.

Abstract: An illuminated marking device is described for use with colorless marking materials. The marking materials remain colorless until being transferred to a marking surface having a developer material disposed thereon that causes the marking material to develop a colored appearance. The marking material is contained within a marking device having a clear or translucent barrel and a lens integrated into a first end. The lens is tinted in a color similar to that of the developed color of the marking material. The first end of the marker is inserted into a light housing having a light source therein. Light from the light source is filtered by the lens and thereby illuminates the barrel of the marker in a color similar to that of the developed color of the marker. The glowing marker indicates the marking color of the marker and provides an enjoyable glowing experience.

At least a second writing instrument can be provided to form a series of removably secured writing instruments wherein removal of one writing instrument from the series causes a next writing instrument to be positioned for removal from the series. Combination dispenser and holding members for dispensing the series of writing instruments in a sanitary manner is also provided.
