  • Patent number: 5699587
Abstract: The invention relates to a handle for a sanitary fitting, and particularly to a single-lever sanitary fitting, having a base and a cap, whereby the base of the handle has a handle section and an attachment section. The handle cap can be engaged with and disengaged from the handle base in an area to be covered on the top of the handle section and/or of the attachment section. In order to be able to repeatedly disengage the cap of the handle from the base without there being any risk of damage or without necessitating the use of a tool, there are corresponding locking devices on the base and cap of the handle, which act jointly to combine the base and cap of the handle in such a manner that the cap can placed in mounting direction A onto the area of the base which has to be covered. It is then slid perpendicular to mounting direction A in sliding direction B, establishing a clamping effect between the locking devices, whereby the cap is pushed inward until it covers the entire designated area.

  • Patent number: 5697254
Abstract: A shift lever support structure for an automatic transmission includes a T-shaped shift lever having a transverse boss, and a U-sectioned lever mount having first and second bearing holes defined in opposite side walls thereof for rotatably supporting first and second opposite ends of the transverse boss. The first bearing hole is elongated so as to have opposite straight side edges and opposite round ends continued with each other through the straight side edges, said round ends being spaced a distance sufficient to facilitate mounting of the transverse boss on the lever mount. A first stopper is disposed in the lever mount for restricting a radial displacement of the first end of the transverse boss within the first bearing hole which would result from the first bearing hole oversized relative to the diameter of the transverse boss.

  • Patent number: 5666855
Abstract: A shifter for a vehicle includes a base for attachment to the vehicle, and a transmission shift lever having a slidably connectable pivot for pivoting shift lever to the base. The base includes configured sidewalls defining opposing sockets having a first diameter and inlets to the sockets having a first width less than the first diameter. The shift lever includes an integrally molded pivot member with protruding flat-sided rod sections. The rod sections define a second diameter about equal to the first diameter, and the flat sides of the rod sections define a second width about equal to the first width. By positioning the shift lever in an assembly-permitting angular position, the flat sides align with the inlet and the pivot member can be slid through the inlets into releasable pivotal engagement with the sockets.

Abstract: A filing system adaptor, to be inserted into an existing file cabinet drawer having a conventional hanging file frame with a pair of parallel side rails for supporting hanging files, is disclosed. A removable base plate made of plastic is placed at the bottom of the file cabinet drawer. A number of oversized dividers made of rigid plastic are used to keep documents organized. With a height of about eleven inches, the dividers store large, bulky documents within the same filing cabinet drawer as standard letter size and legal size documents, and the dividers fit within the closed cabinet drawer by resting at an angle of about 60 degrees. A deep cutaway in the divider allows the user to quickly identify the documents maintained in the filing system. The oversized dividers are secured into place by locking tabs at the bottom edge of the divider which lock into accommodating slots in the base plate.

  • Patent number: 5226216
Abstract: A clamp assembly with a releasable bail for securing and suspending cables, drop wires or the like that utilizes a locking structure cooperating with an aperture in a tail of the clamp assembly to secure and lock the releasable free end of the bail to the clamp assembly. Preferably, the locking structure is a foot segment and head at the end of a leg of the bail with a reduced portion permitting passage of the foot segment from an entry portion along a connecting portion to locate the head at a lock portion. Additionally, the other leg of the bail can be slideably attached utilizing an interlocking structure that reduces bail deformations during installation. Furthermore, the present invention provides a method for assembling the cable clamp assembly wherein the first and second legs are assembled and attached to the tail, and also providing a method for simultaneously forming the reduced portion of the second leg and a deformed region in the tail to capture the first leg in the tail.
