  • Patent number: 7883301
Abstract: An electrical safety device for use within an electrical circuit panel box and other electrical cabinetry is constructed of a tubular, transparent sleeve having a first and a second end. One end has a removable cap and the other end is provided with a means for attaching the sleeve to the interior wall surface of the electrical panel box or other electrical cabinetry. The safety device functions to catch the metallic waste material that is generated when the wall of the panel box or cabinetry is drilled to add other conduits to the panel box so that it does not penetrate any of the electrical components or wiring within the panel box. The safety device also functions to isolate the drill bit from contact with the components within the panel box. The removable cap facilitates emptying of the sleeve after use.

  • Publication number: 20080050193
Abstract: A system for removing debris generated by a cutting tool draws the debris into a mixing chamber formed in a workpiece clamp where the debris is combined with a high velocity airflow. A vacuum source draws the debris-air mixture into a cyclonic airflow extraction chamber where the mixture is accelerated before being extracted from the clamp through an exhaust channel. A clamping ring seals the area surrounding the cutting site so that air velocity in the mixing chamber is increased and debris is accelerated into the extraction chamber.

  • Patent number: 7334969
Abstract: In an embodiment, a drill nozzle includes a housing having a bristle brush ring attached. The housing of the drill nozzle may include an air intake, multiple coolant inlets, multiple coolant jets, a vacuum tube, and mounting flanges. The air intake may provide a thrust-vectored down draft into the vacuum tube. The coolant inlets may receive coolant fluid that may be expelled from the coolant jets towards a drill bit. Drilling debris and coolant fluid may be contained inside the bristle brush ring preventing damage and soiling of surrounding structures and areas and may be extracted with the vacuum tube. The drill nozzle may be attached to a drill motor unit of a numerically controlled drill jig, enabling the use of such numerically controlled drill jig for drilling high quality holes effectively into non-flat surfaces, for example, the leading edge extension spar of the F-18 aircraft.
