The sleeves are a portion of an electro-hydraulic controller that includes a mechanical bias to bias the pump to a high output position when a pressure differential between the outlet area and the inlet area is relatively low, such as at cold start up. This aspect facilitates priming of the system. In addition, the controller includes a biasing hydraulic surface in opposition to the mechanical biaser that serves to bias the pump to its low output position when the pressure differential between the outlet area and the inlet area is relatively high. This aspect prevents over pressurization in the event that electric current to the controller is disrupted.

Abstract: In an axial piston pump, a plurality of reciprocating pistons are at least partially positioned within a barrel. The barrel includes a ring shaped high pressure collection cavity that is positioned between the piston chambers and the outlet of the pump. In order to minimize potential loses due to leakage from the ring shaped collection cavity, the barrel is made from a casting that utilizes a ring shaped core supported in a mold. This facilitates the formation of the ring shaped cavity while insuring location and dimensional tolerances, and assisting in the latter machining of the casting to its final form.

Abstract: In a fluid apparatus used as a compressor, a swing support member is constructed of a hook-type adjustable joint, and supports a swing member in capable of swinging while restricting the swing member from rotating about a center axis of a shaft of the compressor. A variable mechanism portion is constructed of a rotary member rotatable around the shaft, the swing member and the like. A slant center around which the swing member swings is made to substantially correspond to a center of gravity of the variable mechanism portion. Therefore, a slant moment, for changing a slant angle of the swing member, is not structurally generated. Accordingly, even when the compressor operates, large vibration and large noise can be prevented, thereby improving durability of the compressor.
