In this way it is possible to choose a stronger material for the part known as the track. This material will be more rigid than the rubber conventionally used but, by virtue of the means (220, 260) for maintaining contact, the track will not remain pressed against the tube but will, by contrast, be lifted by the finger (250). • Patent number: 7241119
Abstract: A flexible tube has a first portion and a second portion located close to each other in the vicinity of an opening of an accommodating case. A pressing member moves from the first portion to the second portion along the tube while pressing a portion of the tube. An auxiliary member is provided in the vicinity of the opening of the case. The auxiliary member has an auxiliary surface. When the pressing member passes the vicinity of the opening of the case, the auxiliary member transfers the pressing member from the second portion to the first portion via the auxiliary surface. This structure ensures a silent operation of the tube pump.

  • Patent number: 7037092
Abstract: A roller pump comprises a pump housing having a cylindrical inner surface, a rotor fixed to a drive shaft placed at the central portion of the pump housing, rollers provided around the rotor and a driver for driving the drive shaft through a reduction gear. The rollers press an elastic tube installed between the rollers and the inner surface of the pump housing to transfer a liquid in the elastic tube by rotation of the rotor. The pump housing and the reduction gear are integrated into one body and an output shaft of the reduction gear is fixed to the drive shaft of the rotor. A stepping motor is used as the driver. A part of the inner surface of the pump housing is composed of a semicircle, another part of the inner surface is composed of a partial circle of which center is shifted from the center of the semicircle.

  • Patent number: 6918748
Abstract: A tube pump (1A) of the present invention is provided with a main body (2) to which a tube (100) is attached, a rotor (5), an oscillator (6) located so as to touch an outer circumferential face of the rotor (5), and a plurality of rollers (10) mounted to the rotor (5) for pressurizing and thereby squeezing the tube (100). The oscillator (6) is essentially shaped like a rectangular plate, and is formed by laminating an electrode, a piezoelectric element, and a reinforcing plate. When an alternating current voltage is applied to the piezoelectric element, the oscillator (6) oscillates longitudinally in the direction of the length at minute amplitude as the piezoelectric element expands and contracts. The rotor (5) receives a frictional force and a pressing force from a convex portion (66) when the oscillator (6) expands, and the rotor (5) rotates as it repetitively receives the frictional force and the pressing force.

  • Patent number: 6872059
Abstract: A liquid discharger 1A has a base 2A where a resilient tube 100 is disposed in a tube guide groove 211A. A retainer 4A is rotatably provided at the base 2A, with a plurality of balls 5 being mounted at the retainer 4A so that the balls can roll. The cross sectional shape of a surface 211 defining the tube guide groove 211A that contacts the tube 100 has an arc shape formed concentrically with the balls 5. The balls 5, which are held by the retainer 4A, roll on the tube 100 while pressing and squashing a portion of the tube 100 as a rotor 3A rotates in order to discharge liquid inside the tube 100.

  • Patent number: 6551080
Abstract: A peristaltic fluid pump having a suction side and a pumping side. The pump includes a pump housing having a mainly arcuate support surface, a flexible tube extending along this surface, a rotor having two opposite rollers for during operation rolling over the flexible tube along an entrance section where the tube is successively compressed, a pumping section extending across an angle of an arc of less than 180°, and an exit section where the compression successively ends, and a motor for during operation making the rotor rotate. The arcuate support surface is shaped in such a way that the rearmost and foremost rollers do not operate in synchronous phase opposition during their passage of the entrance and exit section. The peristaltic fluid pump is capable of pumping a fluid with less pressure difference and compressive pulsations in the fluid than previously known, making it especially suitable for pumping a patient's blood through a dialyzer.
