  • Patent number: 7281346
Abstract: A portable gun support case having gun support members firmly held in place on the case by retaining members attached to the case. The case has a lower box and an upper box which includes two longitudinal box or cover sections pivotally mounted on the lower box. When the box is open, the support members may be placed in upright positions adjacent walls of the lower box. The retaining members then may be moved into firm holding engagement with the support members. When the support members are removed from their upright positions, the upper box may be pivotally closed above the lower box along a center line formed by the two longitudinal cover sections and in engagement with the lower box. When the upper box engages the lower box, outward projections at opposite ends of the upper box are engaged by the retaining members to hold the case firmly closed.

  • Patent number: 7258055
Abstract: A machine gun mount is provided for mounting a machine gun in a movable support arm of a helicopter. The mount includes a gun cradle which is detachably connected to the gun and a pintle one end of which is adapted to pivotably mount the pintle, and thus the mount, on the movable support arm. This enables pivoting movement of the gun in a horizontal plane. The pintle is pivotably connected at the opposite end to the cradle so as to permit the cradle, and thus the gun, to be rotated in a vertical plane through 90 degrees between operative and stowed positions. A locking mechanism locks the cradle in the stowed position. A magazine is attached to one side of the cradle while a spent case and link frame and associated catch bag are attached to the opposite side. The magazine includes an inwardly projecting portion disposed below the cradle.

  • Patent number: 7243455
Abstract: The present invention provides stable support for the extended arm of the operator of a projectile weapon or camera. The invention contains two support members oriented opposed from one another and connected by telescoping support extension members. One support member accepts the user's arm, while the other accepts the user's thigh. Since the invention supports the user's arm rather than the object being used, the invention may accommodate—without alteration—any device the user wishes to operate. Between each support member and the extension member is a connector which provides for 360 degree rotation of each support member. This innovation allows the user to extend or contract the user's arm while still supported by the invention, thereby alleviating the fatigue which may develop from keeping the arm fixed in an extended position. The invention requires no straps or other means to affix it to the operator's body and instead is held in place by tension between the user's arm and the user's thigh.

  • Patent number: 7197844
Abstract: A bipod type gun support has a generally cylindrical hub that defines a barrel-receiving bore that can be slipped onto and off of the muzzle end of the gun. Downwardly diverging legs are integrally joined to opposite sides of the hub to present a one-piece construction. A slot along the top of the hub facilitates a slight amount of resilient flexing of sidewall portions of the hub toward and away from one another when the diverging legs are squeezed and released, thus enlarging the bore of the hub sufficiently to facilitate installation and removal of the support from the barrel. Preferably, the support is molded from a synthetic resinous material.

  • Patent number: 6789344
Abstract: An arm rest and support for aiming. The arm rest and support consists of an upper member hingedly attached to a lower member. A pair of straps attached to the lower member wrap around the torso of the user for support. A third strap attached to the upper member is adapted to wrap around the aiming arm of the user. When not in use, the arm rest and support may be folded, allowing the user to move about. When the support is needed, the user simply raises his or her arm, causing the upper member to pivot and lock at an approximate right angle in relation to the lower member, providing the user with support for aiming resulting in greater accuracy and reduced fatigue.

  • Patent number: 6772549
Abstract: The invented firearm leveler-stabilizer reduces rifle movement to improve projectile accuracy by using an adjustable elongated member connected to the bottom surface of a gun buttstock. A turnbuckle provides an adjustment means for extremely precise leveling of the firearm's barrel while a foot pad rests upon a supporting surface to increase stability during recoil, and while the front of the firearm preferably rests on a bi-pod or other support. A swivel at one end of the leveler-stabilizer connects to a buttstock mount, and a foot pad at the other end of the leveler-stabilizer rests on the ground. In between the two ends is a turnbuckle which provides a means to adjust buttstock elevation extremely accurately for targeting. This foot pad may have an optional sling attachment point. The leveler-stabilizer pivots to against the firearm for transport or storage.

  • Patent number: 6763627
Abstract: A bipod for a light-weight machine gun is disclosed. The bipod has tubular telescoping legs that may be extended and retracted to discreet locking positions. The bipod has a spring-based system that allows a user to fold the bipod either towards or away from the barrel muzzle with one hand, thus giving 180 degrees of travel. The spring system also provides a detent to retain the bipod in the folded or deployed position without additional fasteners or catches. The bipod is attachable to a machine gun with a round yoke that allows the user to pivot the direction of fire and rotate the barrel of the machine gun radially while keeping the bipod firmly planted.
