With Movably Or Removably Mounted Plug Means For Converting Reactor From (n) To (n+1) Reaction Stages Patents (Class 422/157)
  • Patent number: 6395226
Abstract: A coating for microporous hollow fiber membrane blood oxygenators increases the resistance of the fibers to passage of blood plasma through the micropores. The coating comprises alkoxysilane/alkylsilane copolymer, preferably aminoalkylsiloxane.

  • Patent number: 5178837
Abstract: A rock analyser includes a chamber containing a heater (2) and the sensor (6) of a hydrocarbon detector (7), the heater (2) being connectable to a source of power (5) and the sensor (6) being connected to the remainder of the hydrocarbon detector (7). The analyser determines the amount of hydrocarbon material present in the rock. It is portable and is useful for field screening tests to reduce the number of samples sent for laboratory analysis.

  • Patent number: 4431607
Abstract: A pipe, containing a multiplicity of spray ports spaced longitudinally along the pipe so that carbonaceous feedstock can be simultaneously ejected from the ports outwardly from the pipe, is adapted for concentric longitudinal, axial alignment in a carbon black reactor. Preferably the pipe is jacketed so that coolant fluid can be circulated through the annulus formed between the pipe and the jacket and conduit means provide a connection from the pipe to spray ports located in the jacket wall thereby providing means for ejecting carbonaceous feedstock outwardly from the jacketed pipe. A carbon black reactor containing a feedstock nozzle as described above with the nozzle adapted to eject hydrocarbon feedstock into either a precombustion or a combustion zone of the reactor. A method for producing carbon black in which hydrocarbon feedstock is introduced into either a precombustion or a combustion zone of a carbon black reactor through a feedstock nozzle as described above.

  • Patent number: 4206176
Abstract: A carbon black reactor with axial hydrocarbon feed and having an axial zone with triangular cross-section, a wider vortex section for generation of a combustion gas vortex, a reaction section and having essentially tubular shape is useful for the production of high tint and high structure carbon black. In a process for the production of carbon black, hydrocarbon feed is axially introduced into the reactor and contacted with a vortex of hot combustion gases.
