  • Patent number: 10293071
Abstract: This invention relates to an air purification apparatuses and methods for air purification. The air purification apparatuses pass air through energy beams that form one or more fields of energy within a chamber to produce an outflow of sterilized air. In some aspects, a charge generation system is implemented to repel particles from the chamber walls. In some aspects, the fields of energy extend across substantially an entirety of the cross sectional area of the interior volume of the chamber and longitudinally within the chamber. In some aspects, a controller is configured to rotate a beam of collimated light energy within the chamber at a rotational velocity corresponding to at least V/W, wherein V is the linear velocity of a particle within the chamber along the longitudinal axis, and W is the width of the beam of collimated light energy.

The second oxidation and primary filtration is from a catalyst (MAZ), a manganese activated zeolite. Final filtration is accomplished by a HEPA air filter. Air is drawn or blown into a cabinet by way of fan or blower with sufficient force to overcome pressure drop created by filter media. The air stream flows through or by an ozone generator into a reaction chamber for primary oxidation of contaminates and then flows through the MAZ media for filtration by way of adsorption of contaminates and a secondary oxidation with a catalytic conversion of ozone to oxygen. • Patent number: 6632407
Abstract: A personal electro-kinetic electrostatic air conditioner includes a self-contained ion generator that provides electro-kinetically moved air with ions and safe amounts of ozone, and includes a water retaining element to increase humidity of the output air flow. The ion generator includes a high voltage pulse generator whose output pulses are coupled between first and second electrode arrays. Preferably the first electrode array includes first and second pointed electrodes, and the second electrode array includes annular-like electrodes having a central opening coaxial with the associated pointed electrode. The surface of the annular-like electrodes is smooth and continuous through the opening and into a collar region through which the air flows. A water retaining member is disposed surrounding the output airflow to increase humidity of the output air, which is substantially cleansed of particulate matter, and contains safe amounts of ozone.

Abstract: An automobile air filter comprising a filter element, an outer hood receiving the filter element, and a plurality of metal electrodes arranged in the filter element. Each pair of the metal electrodes is connected by a cable and pass through the outer hood. A high voltage generator circuit is installed at appropriate location of an automobile for generating instantaneous high voltage to provide instantaneous high voltage power to each pair of metal electrodes, so that the metal electrodes generate high voltage flashes and ozone to purify the air flowing in the filter element and increase oxygen content in the air intake in the engine.

  • Patent number: 6312507
Abstract: A hand-holdable electro-kinetic electro-static ionic air refreshener-conditioner for a pet shelter or litter box includes a self-contained ion generator that provides electro-kinetically moved air with ions and safe amounts of ozone. The ion generator includes a high voltage pulse generator whose output pulses are coupled between first and second electrode arrays. Preferably the first array comprises one or more pin-like electrodes and the second array comprises one more washer-like electrodes. Preferably a ratio between effective area of an electrode in the second array compared to effective area of an electrode in the first array exceeds about 15:1 and preferably is about 20:1. An electric field produced by the high voltage pulses between the arrays produces an electrostatic flow of ionized air containing safe amounts of ozone. Optionally, a sensor detects odor adjacent the refreshener-conditioner causes the ion generator to be activated when sensed odor exceeds a predetermined threshold.
