    Abstract: Connector systems for a fluid container for pharmaceutical solutions are disclosed. The systems include an outer part adapted for insertion into a fluid conducting system and an inner part arranged in said outer part. The outer part includes a tamper-evident closure connected thereto at a predetermined breaking point that can be manually removed. An external side of the inner part abuts an internal side of the outer part. A closure element attached to the inner part prevents a flow of fluid through the inner part. The inner part and the outer part having provided thereon at least one fluid conducting element, such as a furrow, a flute, a depression or a groove. Medical supply systems comprising a bag, such as a dialysis bag, having such systems are also described.

    Abstract: A valve unit and an apparatus having the same include a plug which includes a phase change material in a solid state at a room temperature and a plurality of fine heat-dissipating particles dispersed in the phase change material. The fine heat-dissipating particles dispersed in the phase change material dissipate heat by absorbing an electromagnetic wave energy generated by electromagnetic wave radiation from the outside and block fluid flow in a path formed by a channel. As an external energy source irradiates an electromagnetic wave on the plug, the plurality of fine heat-dissipating particles dissipate heat and the phase change material becomes molten, thus opening the path to allow the fluid to flow.

    Abstract: A micro fluidic device includes a valve/pump-unit with reduced dead volume having a substrate. The lower surface of the substrate includes two micro channels spaced apart by a valve area of the substrate that separates the two micro channels. A flexible membrane is arranged on the lower surface of the substrate facing an actuating element located in a through going cut-out of a cover element. Movement of the actuating element towards and away from the valve area of the substrate causes a pump and/or valve action of the flexible membrane area, respectively, to cause or stop a directed fluid flow between the two micro channels through a channel formed between the valve area of the substrate and the flexible membrane.
