Control Means Responsive To Or Actuated By Means Sensing Or Detecting A Condition Or Material Triggered Patents (Class 425/135)
  • Patent number: 4094619
Abstract: This disclosure includes entry and delivery clamps arranged on opposite sides of a multiplaten press for clamping belting in order to apply a tension to the belting prior to pressing. The tension is applied by moving the entry clamp in a direction away from the press. The belting is fed over support rollers on opposite sides of the press which receive the belting from different openings of the press. These rollers are caused to move before the press is closed to maintain the belting away from the hot platens of the press, then moved in concert with and in the direction of the platens during pressing and then, if required, they may be moved independent of the platens when the press has been opened after pressing to effect a stripping of the belting from the platens.

  • Patent number: 4057377
Abstract: The present invention teaches an apparatus and method for noodle rolling. The apparatus includes a plurality of roller sets vertically arranged one below the other. Each roller set has roller pairs facing each other. The roller gap of each roller set is shifted laterally with respect to the next lower roller set within a range corresponding to the distance between the pair of rollers in the next lower roller set. In this manner, the noodle strip is first guided by the roller periphery in the next lower set before entering the roller gap therein. The noodle strip formed in the uppermost set is progressively rolled through the succession of the following roller sets.

  • Patent number: 4035116
Abstract: Process and apparatus for forming essentially spherical solid pellets directly from a melt, and particularly solid metal pellets such as iron and lead. The melt from a column of a preset height is directed through one or more orifices in a way to form a jet which experiences an upwardly directed trajectory path and which under the influence of vibratory action breaks up to form pellets of a predetermined diameter. Adjustments of the column height and/or vibration frequency are used to control pellet diameter. The pellets may be formed and solidified in a controlled atmosphere; and in the case of iron pellets, the carbon content of the pellets may be adjusted, to attain a desired degree of hardness, either before or after pellet formation. Iron pellets thus formed are particularly suitable as substitutes for lead pellets in ammunition.

  • Patent number: 4028030
Abstract: Organic waste materials are mixed and batches are separately brought into the form of a coherent substantially homogeneous pulp with a moisture content between 50 and 55% by weight, by heating with exhaust gases, drying in an oven, admixing dry material, and spraying dry material with liquid manure recuperated from the waste materials. The pulp is chopped and immediately thereafter extruded to form frangible strands, sections of which are allowed to break off, without cutting, and to further break by dropping onto a conveyor. Breakage into pellets is completed, without the use of a conventional pelletizing drum involving compression of the pellets, in a vibrated fluidized bed where the pellets are superficially dried to a non-tacky state, drying being completed in further non-vibrated fluidized beds.
