Insulation and barrier is inserted to overcome backface deformation and blast overpressure to the composite. Less the 0.2 mm aluminum sheeting is inserted to deflect electromagnetic pulse jamming. Entire composite is then coated with insulating intumescing or other class A fire resistant coating. This results in a Composite which becomes very strong with a reduction in raw material costs, that is not only resistant to projectiles, but is also resistant to acid, blast overpressure, backface deformation, electromagnetic pulse and direct flame in excess of 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a combined circuit board includes the following steps. First, through portions (TPs) arranged in a predetermined format are formed in a rigid substrate (RS) such that the RS is divided into a predetermined removed region (PRR1) and a predetermined reserved region (PRR2) according to the arrangement of the TPs. Next, a conductive bonding layer (CBL) and a flexible circuit board (FCB) are respectively laminated on two opposite sides of the RS and part of a dielectric bonding layer of the CBL fills the TPs. Next, the RS, the FCB and the CBL are bent according to the TPs such that the PRR2 is bent at the TPs relative to the PRR1. Finally, part of the RS located at the PRR1 and part of the CBL corresponding to the PRR1 are removed to form an indentation to expose part of the FCB.

Abstract: An acoustic wave device includes a piezoelectric substrate, comb-shaped electrodes, wires, a sealing body, terminal electrodes, and connection electrodes. The comb-shaped electrodes are disposed on the piezoelectric substrate and are connected to the wires. The sealing body is disposed on the piezoelectric substrate in such a manner that the comb-shaped electrodes are sealed between the piezoelectric substrate and the sealing body. The terminal electrodes are disposed on the sealing body. The connection electrodes penetrate the sealing body so as to electrically connect the wires and the terminal electrodes, respectively. A first linear expansion coefficient in a first temperature range below a first glass transition temperature of the sealing body is larger than a second linear expansion coefficient in a second temperature range above the first glass transition temperature.

  • Patent number: 9359766
Abstract: A roof product has a thermal heat storage layer, a vent layer with channels for transferring excess heat through a length of the roof product, and a flame retardant to suppress fire through the vent layer. These three materials form a unitary structure. The roof product may have a radiant layer, the thermal heat storage layer and the vent layer to form the unitary structure. The roof products are assembled in an abutting configuration on the roof of a building. The vent layer vents excess heat from an eave of the roof up to a ridge of the roof and out to atmosphere. The roof products manage thermal energy in the roof by storing thermal heat with the unitary roof product during a heating cycle; venting excess heat through the unitary product; and releasing the stored thermal heat from the unitary product into or out of the building during a cooling cycle.

  • Patent number: 9326390
Abstract: In manufacturing multilayer plastic laminates for printed circuits, a press with two surfaces exerts pressure under vacuum on a stack of laminates, the packs, alternated with separator plates made of anodized aluminum. The packs include prepreg layers. The metalizations present on the two sides of each pack are portions of a copper strip repeatedly folded 180° around each pack and each separator plate. A strong current circulates in the copper strip which heats the strip with resistive behavior: the heat causes the close fixing of the various layers. An auxiliary heater is applied to each surface of the press by element of an interposed insulating plate. This includes an aluminum plate with equidistant longitudinal holes containing the same number of armored candle-like resistors, connected in parallel. A main power supply provides direct current to the copper strip, two secondary power supplies provide alternating current to the two auxiliary heaters.

Abstract: A wafer thinning system and method are disclosed that includes grinding away substrate material from a backside of a semiconductor device. A current change is detected in a grinding device responsive to exposure of a first set of device structures through the substrate material, where the grinding is stopped in response to the detected current change. Polishing repairs the surface and continues to remove an additional amount of the substrate material. Exposure of one or more additional sets of device structures through the substrate material is monitored to determine the additional amount of substrate material to remove, where the additional sets of device structures are located in the semiconductor device at a known depth different than the first set.
