Of Polyamidoester (polyurethane, Polyisocyanate, Polycarbamate, Etc.) Patents (Class 428/423.1)
  • Patent number: 10065448
Abstract: The embodied invention is to add coatings to a base board that will create three dimensional liquid art when a suitable liquid (such as water) is added to the board surface. In a preferred embodiment, a super hydrophobic coating is applied to the base board and then a hydrophilic coating in the shape of art is applied. A liquid will naturally collect into the hydrophilic areas of the board to form defined artistic shapes and is repelled by super hydrophobic areas. Alternatively, in other embodiments, the board can be selected with a natural super hydrophobic surface or a natural hydrophilic surface, and then a hydrophilic coating or a super hydrophobic coating, respectively, is applied in an art shape.

Abstract: A continuous method for producing a lightweight sandwich panel comprises providing a scattered layer of glue-coated woodchips; pressing this layer and bonding the wood chips under pressure and temperature conditions such that a high vapor pressure is built up in the center between the cover layers; relieving the pressure by moving the pressing surfaces away from one another, whereby the chipboard tears open in the center due to the built-up vapor pressure and divides into two cover layers of equal thickness; moving the cover layers apart; introducing a foam system that can be foamed and cured to form a hard foam between the cover layers; bringing the cover layers together to the nominal thickness of the lightweight sandwich panel to be produced and holding the pressure until the intermediate layer has finished reacting; and finishing the lightweight sandwich panel.

Abstract: The present invention relates to novel waterborne adhesives which are polymerizable by UV light and are capable of being activated by heat, and which particularly display good adhesion to difficult substrates, such as ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers (EVA) with a low vinyl acetate content, or rubber. The invention further provides a novel method in which, after the application of the waterborne adhesive to an article and drying, irradiation with UV light and at the same time or thereafter activation by heat are performed. The adhesive film which is irradiated and activated in this way is then bonded to a further article. The invention also provides the use of the adhesives to make items such as shoes.
