Response Of Plural Examinees Communicated To Monitor Or Recorder By Electrical Signals Patents (Class 434/350)
  • Patent number: 11922825
Abstract: A method and system for online proctoring of tests while preserving privacy of test-taker is disclosed. Proctoring data, which include video and audio data from at least one camera and a microphone monitoring the test-taker and the test environment, is chopped up into data fragments. Each fragment is altered to replace personally identifiable information, and the altered fragment is encrypted using a cryptographic key. The chronological order of fragments is also scrambled. Encrypted and altered data fragments are distributed to a pool of proctors who review the encrypted fragment for suspicious behavior. Suspicious fragments are further compared with original, unaltered versions of the fragments to confirm suspicious behavior, and render a verdict. The test-taker is aware of, and explicitly consents to the processing of a fragment by a proctor. A secure, custom viewer for the fragments also allows the test-taker to control the number of times a proctoring data segment can be viewed.

  • Patent number: 11694572
Abstract: A processor on an industrial vehicle is programmed to identify a metric that characterizes an event associated with an operator of the industrial vehicle, where the metric has a performance parameter to evaluate against the event, and a behavior modification action that defines a desired operator behavior in response to the event. The processor is further operatively programmed to monitor for the event, and record event data that characterizes a response of the vehicle operator to the event. In response to detecting an event, the processor evaluates the recorded event data against the performance parameter to determine whether the vehicle operator demonstrated appropriate behavior for the event, computes a vehicle operator score based upon the evaluation, and performs the behavior modification action where the operator has not been inculcated to respond to the event.

Digital tutoring systems described herein calculate, by a masked attention layer of the trained machine learning knowledge tracing engine, an attention weight Aij based on a time gap between two learner interactions with the system, and can calculate a contextualized interaction representation hj, wherein the contextualized interaction representation hj is proportional to the attention weight Aij. The systems can provide for display at the GUI a second question item based on the contextualized interaction representation hj, the second question item corresponding to a recommended learner recommendation.
