Abstract: A grinder includes a body having an annular portion, a wheel cover which is attachable to the annular portion, and a wheel cover holding member which holds the wheel cover. The wheel cover has a cylindrical portion which is attachable to the annular portion. The wheel cover holding member has a slide member and a pressing portion which moves the slide member. The pressing portion switches a state between an engagement state in which the slide member is engaged with the cylindrical portion and a disengagement state in which the slide member is disengaged with the cylindrical portion by moving the slide member. The pressing member moves on a second line which is parallelly offset from a first line passing the center of the annular portion in a predetermined direction.

Abstract: A sharpening device for sharpening operative instrumentation having a gripping handle 4 and an acutely angled receptacle support 6, both of which form a radiated palmer contour 8, and both of which have flattened self balancing table rest 10 terminations. The hone receptacle 6 has an attached offset rectilinear container or whet-stone receptacle 12 with guard walls 16 that extend above a contained whet-stone 14. The instrument entry channel 18 is a shorter wall that allows full usage of the whet-stone surface without forcibly influencing sharpening angulations due to an excessively high wall. The offset receptacle support 6 and whet-stone receptacle 12 create two overhangs or a vertical locking rest 20 and a horizontal locking 22 rest that engage with a table. The locking rests coupled with the angled handle 4 receptacle support 6 and resultant palmer contour 8 permit two ergonomic holding positions that allow for both vertical and horizontal honing orientations.

  • Patent number: 8066548
Abstract: A multi-axes contouring machine for contouring a workpiece within a cavity of a main frame by moving a machining part along one or more axes simultaneously to the movement of the workpiece along one or more different axes. In an exemplary embodiment, the machining part simultaneously moves along an X and Y axis, while a workpiece moves along a Z axis. Here, the main frame comprises two adjacent side walls each having an opening cut out. A first carriage is attached to one of the side walls to move in the X direction, and a second carriage is attached to the first carriage to move in the Y direction. The machining part is actuated by the X and Y axes-oriented carriages. On another side wall, a carriage is attached to move in a Z direction, and the workpiece is actuated by the Z axis-oriented carriage.

  • Patent number: 8062099
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide an effective technique for improving the gripping characteristics in a hand-held power tool. To solve the problem, a representative power tool is provided to include a motor that drives a tool bit, a cylindrical housing that houses the motor, a motor actuating parts that actuates the motor, a cylindrical cover that is connected to one end of the housing in its longitudinal direction and houses the motor actuating parts. A grip to be held by a user of the power tool is defined by the housing and the cylindrical cover. A plurality of projections are formed on the outer surface of the grip in a circumferential direction of the grip and that each projection extends between the housing and the cover in the longitudinal direction of the power tool.

  • Patent number: 8011357
Abstract: A cutting and dust collecting assembly comprises a rotatable, circular saw blade (4) having a first side (20), a second side (21), and a cover device (6) with a terminal member (52). The bottom surface (36) of the cover device extends in a plane. A longitudinal passage (45, 46) for the saw blade extends through the cover device from its top surface to its bottom surface. The terminal member comprises a terminal chamber (60) having an inlet (45a), the mouth of which coincides with the plane of said bottom surface. An outlet (58) can be connected to a vacuum source. The direction of rotation of the operating blade is such that the rear part (4a) of the saw blade which has passed beyond the bottom surface of the cover device will move in a direction upwards-rearwards towards the bottom surface. The invention also concerns the cover device, a sealing body belonging to the cover device and a working machine which is provided with the cutting and dust collecting assembly.
