Abstract: A method performed by a network node for a wireless telecommunications network performs operations including providing a resource allocation model that corresponds to a base station and that provides a recommendation regarding resource allocation for a user equipment, UE, that is in an operating zone of the base station during a limited resource condition of the base station. Operations may include identifying, based on the resource allocation model, a reduced priority zone in the operating zone of the base station that corresponds to the UE having a high risk of reduced service from the base station relative to other UEs in the operating range of the base station.

Abstract: An information configuration method, a network apparatus, a terminal, a chip, a computer readable storage medium, a computer program product and a computer program are provided. The method includes: receiving a usage information reporting configuration sent by a network apparatus, wherein the usage information reporting configuration is used to configure reporting of usage information of a terminal, and the network apparatus is a 5G core network apparatus; and reporting, based on the usage information report configuration, usage information generated by direct communication with another terminal to the network device.

Abstract: A method includes: determining, by a terminal device, that assistance information of the terminal device can be sent to a first network device through a signaling radio bearer (SRB) 3, wherein the terminal device is connected to at least two network devices, and the first network device is a secondary network device in the at least two network devices; and sending, by the terminal device, the assistance information to the first network device through the SRB3, wherein the assistance information is used to indicate a configuration expected by the terminal device or service information of the terminal device.

The method comprises receiving at the NF service producer a request to create or update a resource via for example HTTP/REST signaling, the NF service producer selecting a service instance, where the resource is replicated, to create or update the requested resource and sending a response to the received request comprising a resource Uniform Resource Identifier, URI, of the created or updated resource by the second service instance and a service instance identifier identifying the selected service instance.

The NE receives the request, adds information associated with a destination or modifies information of an existing destination, and sends a response to the LI ADMF over the X1 interface, wherein the response comprises a result associated with the request.

Abstract: Systems and methods for folder synchronization and offline synchronization via a mobile platform in a web-based collaboration environment are disclosed. One embodiment includes synchronizing user selected folders and/or sub-folders via the mobile platform, using portable devices including smart phones and tablets using any mobile operating system to allow offline access. Child or sub-folders of the selected folders and/or sub-folders are automatically detected and synchronized for offline access. Any change or new content detected on the client side or on the server side is also synchronized such that the selected folders and/or sub-folders on the client and server sides are up to date.

Abstract: A policy-based security system for establishing a secure session from client devices to a web server includes a policy component with policies, a client device with a local application to select a cloud service, and a mid-link server. A set of policies is determined based on parameters and a tag of a shared content between the client device and the web server for the cloud service. The set of policies selectively direct traffic to the mid-link server based on the tag, and the set of policies specify a direct link between the client device and the web server if the client device satisfies security standards or a secure tunnel between the client device and the mid-link server for the secure session based on the client device does not satisfy the security standards. The secure session establishes the secure session for the cloud service and for providing the shared content.

Such methods can be performed by a Policy Control Function (PCF) of the CN and can include, in response to receiving a notification of degraded network performance of a network area, determining that the negotiated BDT policy is affected by the degraded network performance and an Application Service Provider (ASP) associated with the negotiated BDT policy requested a warning notification. Such methods can include determining, at least based on operator policies, updated BDT policy information for the negotiated BDT policy, wherein the updated BDT policy information comprises at least one of the following: at least one candidate BDT policy, and updated conditions for the negotiated BDT policy. Such methods can include sending the updated BDT policy information to the AF.

In an aspect, a communications device (e.g., UE, gNB, LMF, etc.) determines a reference geographic coordinate (e.g., local or global coordinate) for a plurality of sidelink zones, wherein boundaries associated with each sidelink zone are defined via a respective sidelink zone identifier that includes one or more geographic offsets relative to the reference geographic coordinate. A UE receives an indication of the reference geographic coordinate, and performs one or more sidelink zone-related operations based on the reference geographic coordinate.

The method comprises receiving information of a call initiation or a call reception by a wireless communication device (110), the information comprising an ID indicative of a subscriber of the wireless communication device (110). The method further comprises sending information of the initiated or received call to an online charging system, OCS (150), the information comprising the ID indicative of the subscriber of the wireless communication device (110), receiving, from the OCS (150) and in response to the sending, a pointer referring to a notification picture, and sending the pointer to the wireless communication device (110). Hereby it is possible for an operator to send notification pictures to its subscribers. Disclosed are also methods performed by the OCS (150) and the wireless communication device (110).

Abstract: A program identity of an unknown binary is inferred in response to a trigger (e.g., a request to access or execute the unknown binary, etc.). One or more authentication factors are then executed to authenticate the inferred program identity of the unknown binary as being one of a plurality of different programs. The program can be selectively provided with access to system resources and/or sensitive operations can be limited based on a program nature of the authenticated program identity. In some variations, the authentication factors cause a modified authentication workflow in which a human user provides input as to whether or not to authenticate the inferred program identity.

The method may include determining, by the computing system of the front-end service provider, that one or more back-end service providers can fulfil the communications request. The method may include transmitting, by the computing system of the front-end service provider, data associated with the communications request and/or the one or more back-end service providers to a proxy service. The method may include receiving, by the computing system of the front-end service provider and from the proxy service, information associated with a back-end service provider of the one or more back-end service providers. The method may also include establishing, by the computing system of the front-end service provider, a communications connection with the back-end service provider and transmitting the user data such that the communications request is fulfilled.

Abstract: A battery-powered node includes a primary cell, a secondary cell, and a battery controller. The battery controller includes a current source that draws power from the primary cell to charge the secondary cell. The battery-powered node draws power from the secondary cell across a wide range of current levels. When the voltage of the secondary cell drops beneath a minimum voltage level, the current source charges the secondary cell at a constant current level and a charging signal is sent to the battery-powered node. When the voltage of the second cell exceeds a maximum voltage level, the current source stops charging the secondary cell and the charging signal is terminated. The battery-powered node records the amount of time the charging signal is active, which can be used to determine a battery depletion level for the primary cell. Battery replacement may then be efficiently scheduled based on the depletion level.

Abstract: A method for boundary based edge device compliance includes receiving a request to process data and identifying a cluster of edge devices to process the data located within a boundary area. The method includes applying compliance rules to the cluster of edge devices and instructing the cluster of edge devices to perform computations while adhering to the compliance rules associated with the boundary area. In response to determining that a first edge device from the cluster of edge devices is relocating outside of the boundary area, the method includes instructing the first edge device to transfer data to a second edge device from the cluster of edge devices prior to crossing the boundary to adhere to the compliance rules.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and apparatuses for provisioning a bidirectional filter. In some embodiments, a method of a first network entity performing a session management function (SMF) in a communication system includes obtaining a first filter for a first direction and a second filter for a second direction that are associated with an application, identifying whether the first filter is a bidirectional filter based on a result of comparing the first filter and the second filter, identifying whether a second network entity performing a user plane function (UPF) supports a function of obtaining the second filter, based on the first filter being identified as the bidirectional filter, and transmitting, to the second network entity, a first message including the first filter and information indicating that the first filter is the bidirectional filter, based on identifying that the second network entity supports the function of obtaining the second filter.

Abstract: A community safety system (CSS) including a notification management entity (NME) comprising servers, the NME communicatively coupled to multiple user devices and one or more administrator devices (collectively, registered user devices). The CSS includes a plurality of registered users, wherein each registered user is associated with an organization, and a user category of a set of user categories. The NME may maintain a list of the registered users and associated information. The registered users may have user devices including a CSS application operating thereon. In some embodiments the CSS enables inter-organizational communication, allowing for members of a first organization to provide alerts that the NME can pass to a second organization when the registered user is physically located within a security zone associated with a second organization but not a member of the second organization.

Abstract: A method for switching between different SIM cards for wireless service includes detecting a status of a network used for voice and data and determining if a physical SIM card is a network card in a wireless client. When the physical SIM card is the network card, the method includes determining whether the wireless client includes one or more cloud SIM cards. When the wireless client includes one or more cloud SIM cards, the method further includes detecting a network status of the physical SIM card and assessing whether the network status of the physical SIM card or the status of the network requires using the one or more cloud SIM cards. When the one or more cloud SIM cards are required, the method includes switching the network card from the physical SIM card to the one or more cloud SIM cards.

Abstract: A binding segment identifier processing method and a device are provided. The method includes a network device receives a message sent by a controller, where the message includes type information and a segment identifier, and the type information indicates that the segment identifier is a binding segment identifier BSID. The network device performs a processing action on the BSID based on the type information. According to embodiments of this application, the network device can identify the BSID, to resolve a technical problem that an incorrect processing result is caused when a segment identifier list of the network device includes the BSID.

Abstract: Systems, devices and processes reduce the amount of memory or disk space needed to store encoded video content used in adaptive video streaming by eliminating certain portions of the recorded program from one or more copies of the encoded program. Content occurring before or after a scheduled start of a program, for example, can be retained in only a subset of the encoded copies so that the program content is available to be streamed, but only at certain video qualities. Commercials or other less popular portions may also be eliminated in one or more encoded copies. By eliminating the less-likely-to-be-viewed portions of the content from some (but not all) of the encoded copies, the total amount of storage space needed to store the encoded program is reduced without compromising the ability to play back all portions of the recorded program.

The shared O-RU Operator validates a partitioned configuration received from a tenant operator, with the ability to indicate to the tenant operator that the partitioned configuration is conformant to agreed-upon sharing rules and then commits the shared configuration to the shared O-RU. The shared O-RU operator shares the outcome of the commit operation to the tenant operator via defined operational-data that can be read by the tenant operator. A single radio in O-RAN is shared by multiple different operators and enables a neutral host to deploy a radio unit and then have that attached to different operators networks.

A communication session establishment request for a user equipment of a subscriber to utilize a communication network may be received. Subscriber location information, session management subscription data, and policy data associated with the subscriber may be retrieved. A subscriber not found response may be received from a charging component as a response to a charging subscriber request for the charging component to track network and service utilization by the user equipment due to a prior failure to register the subscriber with the charging component. Accordingly, an automated self-healing action may be performed to re-provision the subscriber with the charging component for registering the subscriber for network and service utilization tracking by the charging component.

A computing device may receive a first communication related to an update to a past financial transaction. Based on correlating the first communication and second communication, the computing device may identify a portion of the second communication corresponding to the at least one good or service of the past financial transaction by processing, using the one or more natural language processing algorithms, the second communication. The computing device may then cause output of data indicating a correlation between the first communication and the second communication, and the indication of the change to the at least one good or service.

Abstract: A cloud network for delivering local content to a user at a user location. The cloud network includes a client device comprising a local application, a mid-link server and a cloud provider. The mid-link server receives from the client device a request for local data from the user at the user location. The user has provided the request for the local data from the user location without a data center. A sub-data center for the user location is identified and assigned an Internet Protocol (IP) address for the user location. The sub-data center is a data center nearest to the user location. Each data center has IP addresses for different locations to deliver the local content to the respective IP address for the location. The request is routed to the sub-data center which is used to provide the local data to the user by the cloud provider.

Abstract: A method performed by a charging system includes receiving a message related to delivery of a service to an end user device. The charging system searches a local storage system to find a session identifier associated with the message. In response to determining that the session identifier is not at the local storage system, a backend storage system is queried for subscriber account data associated with the session identifier. As a result, despite the absence of the session identifier and associated subscriber account data at the local storage system, the charging system can grant service units for the end user device based on the subscriber account data retrieved from the backend storage system.

Abstract: Methods and systems for an online charging system to grant resources to a session with a terminal device when the session includes a large file or the session has a long duration. Embodiments the invention include methods performed by an electronic device for online charging in a wireless network. In one embodiment, the electronic device receives a request message for resources to set up a session with a terminal device, where the request message is sent from a core network interface to an online charging function (OCF), and where the request message indicates that the session includes a large file or that the session has a long duration. The electronic device determines that the terminal device has enough credit for the session based on the request message and grants the resources for the session with the terminal device based on the determination.

Abstract: A control device receives information, e.g., network status information and network loading information, from a plurality of service provider networks and device capability information and status information, from a plurality of user equipment (UE) devices. UEs subscribe to multiple service provider networks. In some geographical regions, coverage is provided by more than one network. The control device generates and sends device profile to network mapping information to UEs on an individual UE basis, e.g., for geographic regions, e.g., 3D regions, where multiple networks are available. Device profile to network mapping information sometimes includes criteria, e.g. rules, parameter, limits, etc. An application on the UE uses the received device profile to network mapping information, along with position information, to select a network/profile to use at a given time. Altering the information provided to one or more UEs allows the control device to perform load balancing between networks.

Abstract: A payment card security system includes a payment card provider account system communicatively coupled to a payment card transaction device and a mobile device. The payment card transaction device sends an indication that a payment card is being used to perform a transaction. The payment card provider account system includes processors that receive the indication that the payment card is being used to perform the transaction from the payment card transaction device. The processors also send a notification indicating that the payment card is being used to perform the transaction. The processors further enable authorization of the transaction via the mobile device. In this manner, the payment card security system may prevent or reduce the occurrence of suspicious transactions as they are occurring, rather than waiting until after they have occurred.
