Abstract: A method for providing a voice call using text data and an electronic device thereof are provided. The method includes converting the detected text data into audio data when an input of the text data is detected during call connection, and converting the converted audio data into a digital signal to transmit the converted digital signal to another party.

Abstract: Configurations providing a rolling sequence model for a user interface over SMS for an interactive system are described. An SMS server can implement the rolling sequence model in which a number from a sequence of numbers (e.g., a block of numbers) is assigned to a user session. A subsequent number from the sequence of numbers is assigned for each session turn-around. Upon receipt of an SMS message from a user to initiate a session, the SMS server assigns a first number from the sequence of numbers to a user session. The SMS server then assigns the next phone number to the user session after receiving a subsequent SMS message from the user. In the event that the last number from the sequence of numbers is assigned, the SMS can cycle through the sequence of numbers by assigning the first number to the user session.

Abstract: A method and a user equipment (UE) are described for performing a proximity-based service (ProSe) in a cellular communication system. The UE is a public safety (PS) ProSe-enabled UE that is a member of a ProSe Group. At least one UE of the ProSe Group is not served by a cellular network, and an apparatus therefore. The PS ProSe-enabled UE checks whether it is in a location served by the cellular network, and transmits first information related to the ProSe Group to the cellular network if a condition is satisfied. The PS ProSe-enabled UE transmits a notice to a leader UE of the ProSe Group for informing that the PS ProSe-enabled UE is in a state that can be served by the cellular network when the PS ProSe-enabled UE is in the location served by the cellular network as a result of the check operation.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for enabling access to messages on a message service system via user interfaces of receiving client devices. The message service system comprises a message storage system and a message access system. The message storage system receives messages from sending client devices and stores message data. The message access system comprises a message server and UI server. A receiving client device is connected with the UI server through a first HTTP connection for receiving UI data for building webpages of the user interface and is connected with the message server through a second non-HTTP connection for receiving message data for populating the webpages. The UI data does not comprise any message data. A client protocol engine on the receiving client device and a server protocol engine on the message server define and provide the non-HTTP protocol for receiving and transmitting message data.

Abstract: A method for applying personalized rules to an incoming e-mail message includes receiving an e-mail message addressed to a user and forwarding a copy of the e-mail message to a mobile communication device associated with the user. One or more pre-defined rules associated with the user are applied to the e-mail message. At least one of the pre-defined rules is identified that the e-mail message satisfies. The identified rule specifies that a text message such as an SMS message be sent to the mobile communication device indicating that an e-mail message satisfying the pre-defined rule has been received. The text message includes a link that allows the user to directly access the e-mail with the mobile communication device's user interface.

Said method comprises: each of UEs involved in capability exchange sending its capability information to the opposite party respectively; the opposite party storing these information as well as the correlation between the information and the service ID; The UE including equipment ID of the opposite UE in an initiated service request; service control function entity in the network utilizing the equipment ID to query the established correlation among equipment ID, service ID, and address of the UE, so as to determine the address of the destination UE and route the service request to the destination UE. Said equipment ID identifies effectively a UE in the network.

Embodiments may comprise logic such as hardware and/or code to facilitate offloading of the scans of large scan lists, e.g., lists on the order of thousands of networks or access points for networks, to network adapters such as wireless network interface cards. Many embodiments provide a network adapter with a compressed representation of a large scan list that may not fit uncompressed in memory of the network adapter. In some embodiments, the compressed representation of the scan list may be lossy, introducing balances related to the memory size on the network adapter, the extent of compression, and the list size, as well as a balance between the memory size and a probability of false positives. In many embodiments, the network adapter may wake the host device upon identifying a network on a scan list.

One embodiment comprises a message entity of a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network. The message entity attempts delivery of a text message to a mobile device, and determines that the delivery attempt failed due to the mobile device being temporarily unavailable. The message entity transmits a request to a Mobility Management Entity (MME) of the LTE network to be notified when the mobile device becomes available. The message entity receives a notification from the MME that the mobile device is available, and retries delivery of the text message to the mobile device responsive to the notification from the MME that the mobile device is available.

Abstract: A method is provided for automatically providing remote services for a mobile device having an established relationship with a server of a home network. After the relationship between the mobile device and the server has been set-up and the device detects a local network that is separate and remote from the home network, a connection is automatically established between the mobile device and a local network. The device then automatically establishes an Internet connection with the server through the local network, and transmits to the server information that was stored in the mobile device when the relationship was established. In response to the server recognizing the device through the transmitted information, the server automatically activates at least one service to initiate a transfer data, such as uploading images between the device and the server through the local network.

The message may then be automatically forwarded from the mobile device to the selected recipients. At the recipient end, the message is received from the mobile device of the recipient over a short range communication link and processed to determine if the message is a recommendation message.
