An example method is performed by one or more processors of a system and includes detecting a character sequence being entered for identifying an account to be used in an account action, extracting a set of subsequences from the character sequence, determining, for the character sequence and each subsequence extracted from the character sequence, a feature value for each of a predefined set of features for characterizing sequences, the determining based on a number of characters included in at least one portion of the character sequence, and generating, using the feature values as input to a model trained in conjunction with a machine learning (ML) algorithm, a predictive value suggestive of a likelihood that the detected character sequence, if submitted, will result in the account action failing.

Abstract: This application describes methods, mediums, and systems for verifying a device for use in a messaging system. Using the device verification procedures described, a messaging system can securely authorize new devices to send and receive encrypted messages on behalf of a user, preferably without the need to share a private encryption key between the users' different devices. The application describes several techniques that can be used to provide such a system, including distributing a computer-perceptible code that encodes encryption information between a secondary device and a primary device. This allows the information to be distributed without intervention by a server. Other techniques provide unique ways to build and reverify authorized device lists, distribute encryption keys in chat channels, ensure that lists of authorized devices are distributed in the correct order and remain valid for an appropriate amount of time, add new devices to an ongoing or new conversation, and more.

Access to data published to the topic may be provided such that a publisher of the topic directly transfers data of the topic to a subscriber of the topic.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a device obtains audio data from one or more past conferences. A prediction model that predicts when participants of a conference will speak is generated based on the audio data from the one or more past conferences. The device uses the prediction model to predict a speech distribution for participants of a particular conference. Then, the device proactively optimizes audio parameters of the particular conference based on its predicted speech distribution.

Abstract: The techniques herein are directed generally to providing access control and identity verification for communications when receiving a communication at an entity to be verified. In one embodiment, a receiving device receives a communication from an initiating device on a communication channel, wherein the initiating device is configured to determine whether an identity associated with the receiving device is verified by a verification service. The receiving device verifies the identity through a verification service client application on the receiving device, and conveys, to the verification service over a verification channel, that the identity associated with the receiving device is verified, wherein the verification service is caused to convey, to the initiating device over the verification channel, that the identity is verified.

Abstract: Techniques of streaming data processing for hybrid online meetings are disclosed herein. In one example, a method includes receiving, at the remote server, a video stream captured by a camera in the conference room. The video stream captures images of multiple local participants of an online meeting. The method also includes determining identities of the captured images of the multiple local participants in the received video stream using meeting information of the online meeting and generating a set of individual video streams each corresponding to one of the multiple local participants. The set of individual video streams can then be transmitted to the second computing device corresponding to a remote participant of the online meeting as if the multiple local participants are virtually joining the online meeting.

One or more possible actions related to communications through the communication device can be determined by the communication device based on the identified one or more people. A user interface including a prompt for at least one of the determined one or more possible actions related to communications through the communication device can then be provided.

Abstract: The present technology can receive audio segments from sources within one or more conference room, and can create audio fingerprints from the sources. The audio fingerprints are optimized for audio in conference room environments, which include distortions from room impulse responses, and various encoding used by telecommunication networks. In some embodiments, when two audio segments are matched, a user equipment can be instructed to mute its speakers to avoid feedback. In some embodiments, when two audio segments are matched, a user equipment can be given instructions to join a conference taking place in the room in when the audio segment originated.

Abstract: Embodiments automatically establish a communication link with a conference platform using data received from a user device of a user. A conferencing device may interact with a user device to initiate a data transmission from the user device. An application on the user device may scan the contents of the user device for information associated one or more conference calls scheduled for a current time period. Upon identifying a matching conference call, the user device may transmit data associated with the conference call to the conferencing device. The application on the user device or the conferencing device may extract the call-in details (e.g. telephone number, conference code, conference PIN, URL or some other link to the conference) from the information associated with the conference call. The conferencing device may automatically initiate a call (e.g. establish the communication link) with the conference platform using the call-in details.

Abstract: A new rack equipped with at least one ToR switch is pushed into operational mode in a datacenter equipped with at least one operational datacenter switch. A script server fetches from a database information about a first networking configuration of the datacenter switch, and a minimal profile information of the rack. The script server devises a physical cabling plan between the ToR switch and the datacenter switch, reserves ports on the datacenter switch, computes and stores into the database enriched information of the rack, and provides cabling instructions relative to the physical cabling plan to a datacenter technician. The script server fills-in a configuration template, and causes a configuration builder to apply a first networking configuration of the ToR switch, applies a second networking configuration to the datacenter switch, pushes the rack into production, completes a second networking configuration of the ToR switch, and pushes the rack into operational mode.

Abstract: A method of minimizing cross-contamination of pathogens between persons within a facility includes placing tags onto shared resources such as tables, desks, chairs, coffee makers, microwave ovens, sinks, bathroom stalls, etc. A mobile device senses the tags and approximates their locations, in embodiments relative to tagged anchor points. The mobile device can include any combination of tag-sensing and locating features, including a camera, LIDAR, GPS, sonic distance measurement, and accelerometers for inertial position sensing. In embodiments, the approximated tag locations can be verified and corrected as needed by using augmented reality to project the estimated tag locations onto the actual scene. The accurately determined tag locations are then used to assign resources to persons within the facility, whereby spatial distancing between persons and time intervals between usage of the same resource are maximized. A log of the resource assignments can be used to enhance contact tracing.

Abstract: Embodiments include a system, method, and computer program product for providing seamless PTT services to a user. In an embodiment, a push-to-talk (PTT) component provides, to the user, PTT services with a talk group through connectivity to a data channel in a mobile network. A voice monitoring component monitors attributes of data connectivity on the data channel to determine when a voice quality falls below a threshold. When the voice quality is determined to fall below the threshold, a connectivity component requests the user to switch the connectivity to a voice channel. Then, the connectivity component dials a telephone number through the voice channel to access a voice conference bridge that provides the PTT services. To provide the PTT services, the voice conference bridge sets up a routing path to a session initiation protocol (SIP) session for the talk group, and routes voice communication through the SIP session.

Abstract: The present invention is a communication system for use in debates, for example, in Congress, Parliament, Presidential elections, online meetings, webinars, etc. The system includes multiple single-channel, time-controlled microphones, each having a STOP button. The STOP button activates the next speaker's microphone and timer while turning off the timer and microphone of the current speaker. The microphones can only be activated by the host or by the STOP button of another microphone. This prevents speakers from interrupting one another. If the time limit is reached, STOP button-activated-control is relinquished to the next speaker and his/her timer and microphone is activated. The remaining and/or elapsed time of each speaker may be displayed on computer screens of each participant, on a display for the audience and/or on lighted digital displays and/or dials. Time limits and the sequence of speeches may be altered by the host.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods, apparatuses, a system and a computer program product for reducing interference and energy consumption of wireless devices. An apparatus, namely a femto base station or home (e) NodeB, can include a transmitting unit, a receiving unit, a determining unit, a disabling unit, a disabling handshaking unit, and a reassigning unit. If the determining unit determines that there is no active communication between the apparatus and a user device, the disabling unit may disable the transmitting unit and the receiving unit while maintaining a connection between the apparatus and a network. A disabling handshaking can be performed by the disabling handshaking unit to achieve this, wherein the re-assigning unit may re-assign one or more user device(s) to a network apparatus, namely a macro (e) NodeB.

Abstract: A system for providing a distributed architecture for mobile streaming content delivery is disclosed. In particular, the system may include bypassing a master head end facility and its accompanying fiber distribution network to deliver a content stream directly to mobile cell sites. In order to do so, the system may receive, at a cell cite, a content stream directly from a content satellite and then format the content into a format suitable for delivery to a subscriber device. The system may receive, such as via a radio access network, a request from the subscriber device to access the content stream. In response to the request from the subscriber device, the system may deliver the formatted content stream to the subscriber device. The distributed architecture may also allow for delivering the content stream jointly with voice data services, such as those provided in a Long-Term Evolution network or other network.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for intelligent grouping between group communication devices. In some embodiments, a method includes receiving, at a remote management platform, a recorded audio message from a first communication device that device includes a cellular networking component capable of connecting the first communication device to a cellular network. The first communication device may have a default grouping with a set of additional communication devices. In some embodiments, the default grouping can be created at a factory when the communication devices are manufactured. In other embodiments, the first communication device and the set of additional communications devices can be automatically paired upon initialization via a local communication network. A linking request can be automatically sent to the remote management platform to create the default grouping (e.g., by creating an entry in a routing table at the remote management platform).

A request is received from an attendee to join a meeting in the virtual meeting room.
