Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to retaining content of a conference call for accelerated replay. The content of the conference call can be recorded. Further, establishment of a connection of a participant to the conference call can be detected. For instance, the connection can be established with a computing device of the participant. Moreover, the establishment of the connection of the participant to the conference call can be detected subsequent to initiation of the recording of the content of the conference call. Responsive to detection of the establishment of the connection of the participant to the conference call, at least a portion of recorded content of the conference call can be transmitted to the computing device for playback at a playback speed that is greater than a speed at which the content is recorded.

Abstract: Described are a system and method of managing a real-time communication initiated to a mobile communications device. A communication from an originating communications device is sensed as being directed to a first destination address corresponding to a mobile communications device. Location information of the mobile communications device is determined. The communication is directed to a second destination address based on the determined location of the mobile communications device.

Abstract: A user equipment, method, non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, a system of connecting a user equipment to a conference system are provided. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a conference dialer application receives a meeting notification from a calendar application, where the meeting notification describes a meeting hosted on a conference system and includes at least one conference access code used to access the conference system. The conference dialer application prompts the user for voice input. The conference dialer application receives a first voice input from the user indicating to the user equipment to join the meeting on the conference system. The conference dialer application, responsive to the first voice input, automatically supplies the at least one conference access code in order to join the meeting. Finally, the conference dialer application, via a telephone dialer application, connects the user equipment to the meeting on the conference system.

Abstract: A system, application platform, and method that helps a recipient receiving a phone call identify a caller in advance of answering the incoming call. According to the invention, a caller is able to create a multimedia content using a software application platform present in the mobile device, upload the created multimedia content in a cloud storage space, thereafter, when the caller places a call to any recipient, the multimedia content automatically streams from the cloud storage space into the recipient's mobile device in a display loop until the recipient responds to the incoming call and during the subsequent conversation helping the recipient identify the caller.

Abstract: Various embodiments for conducting a phone conferencing session are disclosed. One embodiment is a method implemented in a communication device for conducting a phone conferencing session. The method comprises determining that a user of the communication device wishes to initiate the phone conferencing session, determining a current location of the communication device, retrieving information relating to the user for initiating the phone conferencing session, and initiating the phone conferencing session associated according to the information relating to the user.

Abstract: A conference attendee uses a personal communications device such as a smart phone as a microphone to ask questions or otherwise engage in real time communications with other conference attendees and the host, through a speaker system being used in the conference. A server maintains a database of conference attendees, and serves a mobile Web page to each attendee permitting the attendee to request a real-time communication. The server flags records of those attendees that request a real-time communication. The server establishes no voice connection with a personal communications device until after the conference host selects a device from among a number of personal communications devices that have requested communications.

Abstract: A first group auditory data stream, from a transmitting subscriber device of a first group of subscriber devices or from a dispatch console and intended for the first group of subscriber devices, is received at a conference server. A second group auditory data stream from a transmitting subscriber device of a second group of subscriber devices is similarly received. The conference server determines a relative priority level of one of (i) the first group of subscriber devices relative to the second group of subscriber devices and (ii) the first group auditory data stream relative to the second group auditory data stream, and sets different relative signal gains of the first group auditory data stream and the second group auditory data stream as a function of the determined relative priority level. The two auditory data streams are then summed and forwarded towards the second group of subscriber devices.

Abstract: Various methods for using external audio devices with a single mobile telephone are proposed, where the external audio devices have audio input functionality and audio output functionality. To support conferencing, audio data of a single telephone call involving the mobile telephone is communicated with two or more external audio devices. To support separate telephone calls that are concurrent for at least a period of time, audio data of a first telephone call involving the mobile telephone is communicated with one or more first external audio devices, and audio data of a second telephone call involving the mobile telephone is communicated with one or more second external audio devices. If there are two or more first external audio devices, then the first telephone call is a conference call.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments for creating one or more home phone groups from a network of communication devices comprise receiving from one or more users, configuration parameters for the one or more home phone groups that identify the communication devices in the home phone groups; a proximity designation for each of the communication devices; and a group mode setting for each of the communication devices that controls participation in the assigned home phone groups. The group mode setting for each of the communication devices is automatically activated is when the current location of each respective communication device meets the proximity designation. Users control participation of their communication devices within the assigned home phone groups by changing the designated proximity and/or a manual override of the group mode setting. When an incoming call is received, the call is routed to each communication device in the identified home phone group that has an active group mode setting.

Abstract: An example embodiment disclosed herein includes a vehicle teleconferencing system. The vehicle teleconferencing system includes an abstraction and communication device (hereinafter “device”) and a mobile device. The device includes an adaptor configured to interface with a Controller Area Network bus of a vehicle and to abstract vehicle data from the vehicle. The mobile device includes an operation determination module, a clock, and a teleconferencing module. The operation determination module is configured to determine that an operator is operating the vehicle based on a subset of the data. The clock is configured to track actual time. The teleconferencing module is configured to access a teleconference calendar event that includes a scheduled time and teleconference contact information, and when the actual time is within a predetermined threshold of the scheduled time and the operator is operating the vehicle, to prompt the operator to join a teleconference.

Abstract: The conference system (KS) comprises at least two mobile terminals (M1, M2, M3) with a respective signalling apparatus which contains a sensor which detects motion by the signalling apparatus and outputs a corresponding motion signal. The method may include receiving at a first wireless handheld communication device (WHCD), a communication signal from an intermediate communication device comprising at least one identifier (ID) of at least a second WHCD authorized to communicate with the intermediate communication device. The first WHCD may maintain a list of identifiers for authorized devices that are allowed to communicate with the first WHCD. The first WHCD need not be paired with any device that is specified by the list of identifiers for authorized devices maintained by the first WHCD. A communication link may be established between the first WHCD and the second WHCD via the intermediate communication device, if the list of identifiers for authorized devices maintained by the first WHCD comprises the ID of the second WHCD.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system for recording an interaction including, a telephone call between a caller and a digital processing system placed over an interjurisdictional boundary, and may include a telephone call placed to at least one called recipient. For example, a caller may place a telephone call over an interjurisdictional boundary to a remote computer server. The server may use an interactive voice response (IVR) unit to obtain caller identification information, provide recording identification information to the caller, and receive authorization from the caller to record an interaction between the caller and a call recipient. The server can also obtain testamentary intent information. A telephone call may then be placed by the server to the recipient, and a two-party digital voice recording can be made on the remote server of a three-way telephone call, in which the server is one of the parties.

Amounts of the first and second log data for the first and second periods are calculated, respectively. Instead of direct RF links between participants, the CBI system employs a combination of user-resident application software, central server-based conferencing software, GPS location data, and Voice over IP (VoIP) or voice over cellular technology. In the set-up procedure of the application software, the participant selects an alias CB-style “handle” and a caricature picture, neither of which disclose the true identity or location of the participant. Since the participants are known only by their alias and caricature, their anonymity is preserved, thereby enabling greater freedom of expression and interpersonal tolerance. Participants do not select the other participants in their conference, but are assigned to a virtual “channel” based on a selected conference category and proximity criteria, thereby simulating the serendipity of CB radio communications.
