  • Patent number: 7991419
Abstract: When half-duplex many-to-many communication is performed among a plurality of mobile stations having different codecs in a single group, transcoding is performed with a small number of codec circuits. A transcoder manages an SSRC of a received RTP packet, detaches voice information from a jitter buffer, which is identical to a latest SSRC, and inputs the detached voice information to a codec circuit. As the latest SSRC is switched, a voice sending station subject to transcode is switched, and mobile stations using the same codec share the codec circuit. Therefore, in a half-duplex many-to-many communication (group communication) system, called a professional mobile radio system, push-talk, or press-talk, it is not necessary to switch the transcoder until a radio station which takes a talk burst is changed during a single call (call session).

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a wireless power transmission/reception apparatus and method having a communication function. The wireless power transmission/reception apparatus includes a wireless power transmission device and wireless power transmission devices. The wireless power transmission device receives a returned wireless power signal, detects the number of power consumption devices, modulates pieces of ID data, each including ID of a corresponding power consumption device, transmits the modulated ID data, receives returned ID data, and determines suitableness of the power consumption devices. Each of the wireless power reception devices returns a remaining wireless power signal which is not received among wireless power signals from the wireless power transmission device, and temporarily stops a power consumption device when an ID of the received ID data is an ID of a power consumption device connected thereto, thus returning ID data which will be subsequently received to the wireless power transmission device.

Abstract: A mobile communication device includes a side key having at least three buttons disposed on the side of a device body. Each button of the side key has at least two functions assigned differently and independently according to operation mode and key press time. In a method for controlling the side key, at least two functions are assigned to the side key. Receiving a press input from the side key, a control unit determines a key setting type corresponding to the received press input. Then the control unit retrieves a function corresponding to the determined key setting type from the assigned functions, and then performs the retrieved function of the side key.

  • Patent number: 7907918
Abstract: A participant list display method is provided in which, when referring to status and details of a participant with many utterances, it is possible to reduce effort required in page turning or scrolling operations. In step S1 a mobile telephone performs utterance processing for a participant in PTT communication, to perform PTT starting processing; in step S2, a variable is acquired in working memory for counting number of utterances for each participant; and in step S3 a state of waiting to obtain a right to speak is entered. In the mobile telephone, from the state of waiting to obtain the right to speak, when a party who wishes to speak obtains the right to speak in step S4, a count of number of utterances for the participant that is stored in the working memory is incremented in step S5. The mobile telephone refers to the number of utterances for each participant stored in the working memory, and sorts the list of participants displayed on the display unit, in order of number of utterances.

  • Patent number: 7894547
Abstract: In-phase (I) and quadrature-phase (Q) signals are corrected for both amplitude and phase imbalances by passing the I and Q signals successively through a first amplitude correction stage, a sum-difference stage, and a second amplitude correction stage. The first amplitude correction stage balances the signal levels of the I and Q signals. The sum-difference stage produce a sum of the input I and Q signals, and a difference of the input I and Q signals, resulting in ideal quadrature in the outputs produced. The second amplitude correction stage corrects the amplitude differences from the sum-difference stage. Circuit configurations are used that minimize errors produced by the signal processing stages.
