  • Patent number: 11314397
Abstract: An electronic device includes a display, a timer and computing hardware configured to execute a software product. Execution of the software product results in generating and rendering a graphical user interface on the display with four or more user-selectable graphical objects. Selection of a first user-selectable graphical object at a first spatial position on the graphical user interface and a movement of the selected first user-selectable graphical object along a path towards a second user-selectable graphical object at a second spatial position is detected and a position of the first user-selectable graphical object is exchanged with the position of the second user-selectable graphical object. If, during a predetermined time period, a selection of a third user-selectable graphical object and a movement of the third user-selectable graphical object towards a fourth user-selectable graphical object is detected, the positions of the third and fourth objects is exchanged.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention set forth systems, apparatuses and methods for facilitating the configuration of multigame bonuses on independent gaming devices. Accordingly, a gaming device including a display, input device, memory, and processor can be configured to be part of a multigame bonus while not requiring a direct connection to a multigame bonus controller, or to other gaming devices involved in the multigame bonus. This may be accomplished by configuring the gaming device to provide a mechanism for an operator to set up bonus parameters with a specified side wager or bet to be eligible for a particular jackpot prize. Since each gaming device can be independently set up to be part of the multigame bonus, unrelated gaming devices running different primary gaming events with different wager or game characteristics can be part of the same multigame bonus without affecting game play of the primary gaming events.

Abstract: Technologies are described herein for event delivery and stream processing utilizing virtual processing agents. Upon receiving an event publication in a queue, a runtime system identifies one or more virtual processing agents that might be interested in, but have not explicitly subscribed to, the published event. Event information of the published event is then delivered to the identified virtual processing agents. Prior to the actual delivery, the runtime system further determines if the virtual processing agents have been activated and activates those processing agents that have not been activated. Based on the received event information, some of the virtual processing agents might decide to explicitly submit subscriptions to receive more events from the queue. The explicit subscriptions will trigger the runtime system to deliver the subscribed events to the processing agents, which might include past events that have been published in the queue before the explicit subscription is received.

Abstract: The disclosure is related to a method and a system for security verification in a booting process of a computer system. A multi-core processor of the computer system is utilized to perform a security verification operation initiated by a UEFI BIOS. The security verification operation is configured to test if the computer system is qualified as a secure system for a specific use. In one aspect, the multi-core processor architecture has the benefit of providing a more efficient way to allow each of the multiple cores to perform one verification task for one of the peripherals of the system. An embodiment shows that the multiple cores can be individually assigned to perform different tasks such as verifying security of various medium in parallel processes when the computer system is in the booting process.

Abstract: Systems, devices and methods are provided. A gaming device includes an input device that includes multiple input locations and a pressure sensor to detect, for each input location, an amount of pressure applied to the input device at the input location by a player. The gaming device includes a processor circuit and a memory coupled to the processor circuit. The memory includes machine-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor circuit, cause the processor circuit to receive, from the input device, multiple pressure parameter values corresponding to a first amount of pressure being applied to a first portion of the input locations, determine a pressure pattern that corresponds to locations of the first portion of the input locations, and based on the pressure parameter values and the pressure pattern, determine an identification of an object that is on the input device.

Abstract: A computer implemented method for helping a user of computer game and learning programs to perceive a correct answer to a question presented by the programs. These computer game and learning programs (Set A programs) are modified by a computer program of this invention that accepts exactly one token string to be a correct answer (Set ESP program). Answer related output information in a Set A program is modified by the Set ESP program to provide a cue (hint) to a user to increase or decrease the ability of a user to perceive a correct answer. When a user enters an answer a guard requirement in the Set ESP program is satisfied and a guarded subfunction in the Set ESP program is executed if the user's answer is correct. Cues for answers can be visual (with or without eye-tracking), audible, and haptic and can be presented subliminally.
