Abstract: A golf putter includes a head, a shaft, and a sighting apparatus attached to the shaft such that a geometric plane containing both a longitudinal axis of the sighting apparatus and a longitudinal axis of the shaft forms a right angle with a face of the head. When the shaft is oriented vertically, and the hole or flag pole is viewable through the sighting apparatus, the face of the head of the golf putter is pointed toward the hole, thus aligning the golf putter for the putt.

Abstract: The present invention contemplates an improved indicator for use in combination with a golf putter to provide improved putting performance by giving the golfer a point of focus on which to concentrate during putting, and by indicating whether the putting stroke is on or off line. The indicator includes a fluid filled container with a transparent face, and a ball or similar element movably disposed in the container. The container is fixed atop or adjacent to a putter head in a manner that a center line therein, which is visible through the transparent face of the container, is centered with respect to the putter head and extends at a right angle to the putter face.

Abstract: A device for assisting a golfer in improving his or her golf swing. The device includes an impact detector mounted to the club head of a golf club. The impact detector provides an instantaneous visual or audible indicator of when a predetermined area, e.g., the "sweet spot", of the club head face strikes the golf ball.

Abstract: Apparatus for determining a golfer's stance with respect to a turf simulating surface and for determining the direction of lateral forces applied during the golfer's swing by observing the lateral movement of a shiftable member with said turf simulating surface thereon and engaged upon a base member for free lateral displacement from a target line on the base member, the stance of the golfer being determined by a placement line on the base member and positioned relative to the target line.

Abstract: A golf putter club for training a golfer to repeatedly putt using a constant putting stroke and a method for using the same. The constant putting stroke is defined by the movement of the shoulders of the golfer in a pendulum motion. A putter head body having a heel, a top and a ball striking face is provided. A connecting neck is affixed to the top of the putter head body and rigidly couples first and second hosels to the top of the putter head body. The first hosel has a first proximate end attached to the neck and a second opposing end sized and configured to rigidly hold a connecting end of a first shaft in a fixed position relative to the putter head body. The second hosel has a first proximate end attached to the neck and a second opposing end sized and configured to rigidly hold a connecting end of a second shaft in a fixed position relative to the putter head body.

Abstract: A golf pitching wedge for training a golfer to repeatedly swing the wedge using a constant chipping swing and a method for using the same. The constant chipping swing is defined by the movement of the shoulders of the golfer in a pendulum motion. A wedge-shaped club head having a top and a ball striking face is provided. A first hosel has a first end coupled to the top of the club head and a second end for rigidly holding a connecting end of a first shaft in a fixed position relative to the club head. A second hosel has a first end coupled to the top of the club head and a second end for rigidly holding a connecting end of a second shaft in a fixed position relative to the club head.

Abstract: The invention relates to a golf training aid to be used in combination with a golf club to assist in the visualizing of the action of the golf club head during the arc of a golf swing. The training aid is adapted to be attached to the shaft of the golf club so as to maintain the club head in the proper position during the arc of a swing. The device includes a body block and attachment portion for removable securement to a golf club shaft by sliding gate and lock means. The body block has a flat surface and is positioned at 90.degree. to the golf club head, acting as a level to help maintain the club head in a proper position throughout the arc of a golf club swing, thereby maintaining the club head in a proper position for striking a golf ball. A rubber plug secures the attachment means to the golf club so as to prevent slipping or movement of the training aid during a golf club swing.
