  • Patent number: 5624328
Abstract: An improved golf club stand that enables a golf club to be inverted and supported above the ground in a substantially vertical position is provided. In a first embodiment, the stand includes a sleeve secured in the handle of the club and a spike. The spike is tapered at a first end and is configured at a second end to be detachably coupled to the sleeve. In a second embodiment, the spike is retained in the handle of the club. The sleeve has a slotted open end that prevents the spike from being dislodged from the sleeve and enables a portion of the spike to pass therethrough. The disk end of the spike also prevents the spike from completely passing through the slotted end. The sleeve is configured to prevent the spike from retracting fully into the sleeve and drop into the club's shaft. When inserted in the ground, the invented stand aids with keeping the grip of the club dry and unsoiled.

  • Patent number: 5620378
Abstract: A toy golf club (10) is disclosed comprising a handle (12), a hollow shaft (14), and a club head (16). The shaft (14) defines an internal ball magazine chamber (34) sized to receive and store multiple toy golf balls through an upper aperture (40). The balls are ejected one at a time through a lower aperture (42) that extends through a lower bevelled surface (45) at the heel portion of the head (16). Sequential ejection of the balls is controlled by a gate assembly (58) comprising a lower hood member (60) pivotally mounted to the bottom of the shaft (14) within the chamber (34); a linkage arm (62) connected at a lower end to the hood member (60) and extending within the shaft (14) to the handle (12); and a trigger member (64) that is attached to the upper end of the linkage arm (62) and projects through an opening (30) in the handle (12).

  • Patent number: 5597363
Abstract: A shaft having insert portion disposed at a bottom end of the shaft and having rotatable handle assembly disposed at a top end of the shaft. An insert guard optionally spring mounted to protect and cover the end of insert portion when the club supporter is being stored in golf bag, or is otherwise not in operation. Rotatable handle assembly preferably includes a plastic cylindrically-shaped handle rotatably mounted to shaft on pivot member. Handle may be shaped to form a recess, clip, or receptacle, or a plurality of recesses, for receiving a portion of a golf club shaft allowing the golf club to be supported when the club supporter is operatively inserted in the ground.A towel cover is provided of water-resistant material adapted to form a shaped cover and includes a frame or rack for securing a towel within the cover. Mounting and closure equipment are optionally provided for attaching the cover to objects and for providing access to the region disposed within the cover, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5540431
Abstract: A golfclub-case preferably employed in nature of a lighter carrybag embodiment, features a telescopically variable advantage; whereby the golfer is provided a more comfortably balanced effect during carry-modality, yet more convenient access during freestanding-modality. The special golfclub-case structure comprises two tubular sections freely sliding one inside the other, plus a shoulder-sling secured at one end to the upper opened-end of the golfclub-case, the oposite end down near the case's basecup. Thus when rested upon the base, the case telescopically-retracts about 4-inches, facilitating better upper-end access to shorter putter and wedge type clubs; yet-when lifted away for resumption of carrying, weight of golfclubs automatically re-extends case length, thus effectively shifting center-of-gravity more aft of one's shoulder than with a conventional case, thereby negating former aggravating tendancy of golfclubs to spill out forward as one moves about.

  • Patent number: 5522594
Abstract: A golf club for impelling a golf ball without swinging. The club uses expanding gas generated by an exploding charge to move a piston having an attached strike plate against a golf ball, impelling the ball down the fairway toward the green. The club is prepared for use by inserting an explosive charge and cocking the firing mechanism. The club is fired by placing the head of the club a short distance behind the ball, aiming the ball by aligning the striking plate with the ball, releasing a safety, and triggering the firing mechanism.
