  • Patent number: 9403426
Abstract: A motorized apparatus that provides protection from precipitation to a vehicle occupant upon entering or exiting the vehicle includes a housing secured to the vehicle roof so that it can be reached by a passenger seated within the vehicle. A housing base is secured to the vehicle roof. A hinge positioned at the leading end of the housing interconnects the housing base to a housing cover. The housing has a fully closed position when the housing cover fully engages the housing base and a fully deployed position when the cover is fully rotated with respect to the base. A sheet of waterproof material has a first end secured to an interior of the base and a second end secured to an interior of the cover. The sheet is folded when the housing is in the fully closed position and is unfolded when the housing is in the fully deployed position.

Abstract: A slide door is suitable for use in a vehicle slide door of a type where a window glass is lowered and a window is opened. This slide door includes an intermediate stopper mechanism. The intermediate stopper mechanism includes an intermediate striker disposed at a vehicle side, a first pole rotatably disposed at a slide door side and detachably engaged with the intermediate striker, a first latch which is a latch to engage with the first pole rotated to a position where it cannot abut on the intermediate striker and to restrain the first pole to that position, and which releases restraint of the first pole when a window glass of the slide door is opened to a predetermined position. By this structure, switching of the intermediate stopper mechanism can be carried out without fail.

Abstract: The swing-away pet door apparatus, is adapted for mounting to the frame of a new or existing conventional sliding glass door assembly. A hinge member is secured to an elastomeric sealing flange, which is secured to the sliding glass door frame at a location adjacent to the sliding glass door. The hinge mounted to the elastomeric sealing flange positions the swing-away frame member between open and closed positions. In the open position, the swing-away frame member is positioned adjacent to the door frame and clear of the door frame tracks, providing substantially full access through the sliding glass door frame, when the sliding glass door is opened. The sliding glass door may also be completely closed and locked when the hinge member is in the open position.

  • Patent number: 4799330
Abstract: A locking and sealing assembly locks two window sashes to each other so that they can pivotally move together relative to a casing. The assembly locks the interior sash to the casing while disengaging the lock between the two sashes, so that the interior sash urges sealing material on it to press sealing material on the exterior sash against the casing to provide a weather seal. In a preferred embodiment, the assembly has a lock shaft with a pair of radial lugs. Catches each having a curved surface flange are mounted to the exterior sash and to the casing, and have lengths at least thrice the lug width. The shaft can be moved so that a shaft lug engages the exterior sash to hold the two sashes together. When the two sashes are moved to within the casing, the lock is moved to disengage the lug while simultaneously moving another lug to lock the interior sash to the casing.
