Abstract: A cover for rest supports such as pillow cases, seat cushions, headrests, armrests, bedding and pet bedding is disclosed with layered secure spare flaps. A plurality of spare flaps are attached in respective layers to the cover at an end of each flap and another end is successively folded around the cover and secured thereto to provide additional unused resting surfaces for a person or an animal. The spare flaps therefore provide multiple fresh resting surfaces between launderings. Embodied flaps may also be disposably detached from the cover to preclude launderings altogether. The layered flaps may include use indicia and be to secured to each other and a rest support cover via a fastener on a flap and a complementary fastener disposed respectively on the cover. Disclosed fasteners include thin magnets, hook and loop, grommet and tie, button and hole and ganged hole and post pairs and the like.

Abstract: Display systems for a mattress are described herein. The display systems can include a pocket configured to hold at least one pillow cover and a protective panel positioned on the top surface of a mattress. The protective panel can include an information display component.

Abstract: A storage system stores and easily locates common items, such as reading glasses, remote controls, cell phones, magazines, books, and the like, while a person is in a room or in bed. In an emergency, a person may be able to easily locate these items. The storage system may replace a cluttered nightstand and may provide immediate location of necessary items. The storage system may include a pillow that may span a length of a bed, along the head end of a mattress. The pillow may prevent people, such as children or infants, and items from falling between the head of the mattress and either the wall or headboard. The pillow may also provide an elevated surface to prop up a user's pillow for reading or watching television.

Abstract: A composite for a cover, in particular for a mattress or pillow cover, includes an upper material, a lower material, and a filling thread arranged between the upper material and the lower material. The filling thread is incorporated, when stretched, in a direction transversely to the longitudinal direction of the composite between the upper material and the lower material. Elastic threads run through the composite transversely to the longitudinal direction and define the width of the composite in the slackened state.

Abstract: A fabric band to be placed around a bed pillow, to enhance comfort and hygiene. The band provides a covered space on each side of the pillow, where the user may rest a hand for greater comfort. Also, a smaller pillow may be placed between the first pillow and the fabric band, to provide more specific support for the head and face. The band may include a moisture-resistant layer to protect the pillow and/or pillow case from saliva. This improves hygiene, and prolongs the life of the pillow.

Abstract: A multipurpose, ergonomic, adjustable head, neck, and face pillow for use in sleeping and resting positions, both supine and upright. The pillow includes a contoured pillowcase that is used to adjust for pillow firmness. The pillowcase has a hook-and-loop closure that is used to adjust the pillow's firmness and thickness. The contoured pillowcase can be made of materials including cotton, satin, water resistant fabric, etc. The pillow insert is generally rectangular in shape with a U-shaped offset cutout along one side that can be rotated to accommodate a variety of sleeping and resting positions. The pillow insert can be filled with an array of soft loose fill including polyester fill, down, down alternative, wool, etc.

Abstract: A pillow cover comprising a panel of fabric sewn together to form an enclosure comprising one open end; and a closing mechanism for closing the open end of the enclosure, wherein the closing mechanism is positioned within the enclosure at a distance from the open end so that closing the closing mechanism forms a closed portion of the enclosure for containing a pillow and an open end of the enclosure for hiding the closing mechanism.

Abstract: A portable compact pillow system includes a travel carrier having a first half and a second half and also including a latching feature to secure the first half to the second half in a manner defining a hollow interior. A pillow is removably secured in a portion of the hollow interior defined by the first half, and a resilient member is secured in a portion of the hollow interior defined by the second half. The first half and the second half are attached one to the other on at least one side with a hinge such that the first half is separable from the second half and is pivotal about the hinge for substantially three-hundred-sixty degrees. The first half in its pivoted position is securable to the second half with the latching feature.

Abstract: An integrated padded mesh material may be used in pillows or pillowcases for improved air flow around a user of the pillow or pillowcase during rest. When used in a pillow, the material may substantially cover the side of the pillow that a user's head rests upon. Other materials, such as mesh and satin materials, may be used to complete construction of the pillow. The pillow may take on familiar shapes, such as a dog. When the integrated padded mesh material is used in a pillowcase the pillowcase may be wrapped around a conventional pillow to increase air flow during rest. The pillowcase may include several layers such as the integrated padded mesh material and an allergy-blocking fabric.

Abstract: The pillow includes first and second fabric layers and third and fourth fabric layers, all of which are identical and secured together around the peripheries thereof. Positioned between the first and second fabric layers is a baffle structure which includes first and second lateral baffles extending across the width of the pillow and positioned at approximately one-third and two-thirds of the longitudinal distance (dimension) of the pillow. The baffle structure includes two central baffles, two first end baffles and two second end baffles, arranged to define baffle boxes of approximately equal size. The two central baffles extend longitudinally from one lateral baffle, leaving a space between the free ends thereof and the other lateral baffle to permit filling of the pillow. The first end baffles extend from the one lateral baffle a selected distance, leaving a space between the first end baffles and one lateral edge of the pillow to permit filling of the pillow.

A third pillow, also smaller than the first pillow, can be attached to the first pillow on a face opposite the second pillow by another attachment member that is of sufficient length and flexibility to allow the second pillow to be positioned relative to the first pillow and second pillow in an infinite number of parallel and/or skewed orientations. The invention provides a fully formed pillow and a pillow cover.

Abstract: Variable-use tubular pillows having attachable and detachable ends and related methods are disclosed. According to an aspect, a tubular pillow in accordance with the subject matter disclosed herein may include a pillow body having first and second ends being opposed to one another and being attachable to and detachable from one another. The pillow body forms a tube shape having a central tunnel when the first and second ends are attached. Further, the tubular pillow may include a removable cover for covering the pillow body.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for aiding the insertion of a pillow into a pillowcase. The apparatus or device is flexible and lays flat in a neutral condition. After the pillow is placed onto the device, the device is wrapped around the pillow to compress the pillow, and edges of the device are engaged with one another to maintain the pillow in a compressed condition. The device and compressed pillow are slid into a pillowcase, or the pillowcase is slid over the device and compressed pillow, and the device is then slid outwardly from the pillowcase, allowing the pillow to expand and fill the pillowcase. Optionally, the edges of the device may first be disengaged to allow expansion of the pillow to fill the pillowcase prior to sliding the device outwardly from the pillowcase.

Abstract: An allergen-barrier bedding cover made of polyurethane coated cover fabric, which is waterproof yet permeable to water vapor, reduces contamination of bedding, and blocks dust mites and other allergens, and can be washable. The outer face of cover fabric is non-allergic cotton, nano fiber, or Lyocell, and the inner face of cover fabric is coated with polyurethane. The closure is formed with a zipper, of which the back is coated with polyurethane in order to seal the needle holes of the seams sewing zipper tapes and teeth together, and the gap between teeth is less than 0.01 mm to prevent dust mites from passing through it, and the width of the zipper chain is less than 4 mm. A patch coated with polyurethane is attached inwardly at the end of the zipper, where the zipper is closed, to prevent dust mites from passing through the zipper slider. The needle holes of the seams not only between cover fabrics but also between cover fabrics and zipper tapes of the closure are sealed with seam sealing tapes.

The pillow top includes removable joining means. The removable joining means are removed by user when needed, to transform the pillow top back into the wearable garment. The removable joining means define the shape of the pillow top. Optionally, the removable joining means include a removable stitch.

Abstract: A tubular wrap is provided for enclosing the outside surfaces of a folded flat pillow. The tubular wrap includes a tubular body formed of a soft and resilient material with a central tunnel passing through longitudinally. The fabric tube has an opening on both ends. The tube surrounds the body of the folded pillow by passing through the central tunnel and bringing each end of the pillow to meet each end of the pillowcase, so that the pillowcase embodies the folded pillow.

Abstract: A baby diaper-changing pad cover for covering a traveling baby diaper-changing pad includes a front member, a first side member connected to the front member, a second side member connected to the front member, a top member connected to the front member, a bottom member connected to the front member and a back member connected to the first side member, the second side member, the top member and the bottom member. The traveling baby diaper-changing pad can be removed and inserted into the baby diaper-changing pad cover, and the front member includes a slit to insert and remove the traveling baby diaper-changing pad.

Abstract: Devices and methods for managing the contaminants to which an individual's face is exposed when sleeping or resting on a pillow and/or pillowcase. The device may comprise a disposable pillow cover configured to receive a pillow and/or pillowcase therein such that an individual need not rest his or her head directly against the pillow or pillowcase. This may be beneficial to travelers, persons suffering from skin disorders or patients who are recovering from medical or cosmetic dermatologic procedures and thus have compromised skin. At least one embodiment of the methods disclosed herein comprises the steps of providing a disposable pillow cover, wrapping at least a substantial portion of a pillow and/or pillowcase within the disposable pillow cover to provide a barrier between the individual's skin and the pillow and/or pillowcase, and using the disposable pillow cover to prevent contaminants from coming into contact with the individual's skin.

Abstract: A travel pillow comprising a front having a thin planar portion for receiving the user's head and one or two lateral forwardly projecting cushioning portions. The distance the lateral cushioning portions project forward gradually increases from the thin planar portion to a peripheral portion of the travel pillow in an arced manner. The back of the pillow comprises an anti-skid material such as silicone coated fiberglass weave which keeps the pillow stationary when the user rests his/her head against the pillow. The user places the pillow on the seat and then rest the back of his/her head on the thin planar portion of the pillow. The user can then tilt or turn his/her head in many different positions on a lateral cushion and the pillow will remain stationary.

A neck support includes an elongated retention pocket and a neck supporting element received in the retention pocket therewithin. The user is able to use his or her own pillow to incorporate with the pillow cover such that when the user sleeps in a bed by using his or her own pillow for head support in a comfortable way, the neck support of the pillow cover provides a substantial neck support to keep the neck of the user in alignment with the spine while sleeping.

One of the warp or filling yarns being at least 40% by weight of the fabric of continuous filament nylon, and the other of the warp or filling yarns being from about 0% to 60% by weight of the fabric of continuous filament polyester or nylon having non-round filament cross sections. An antimicrobial substance is topically applied or inherently available in the fabric.

Abstract: A new and improved head and neck support pillow which enables a user to comfortably rest upon his or her stomach. The support pillow is circular with a hole in the center of the pillow which allows the user to insert his or her face. The support pillow also has air holes at the base of the pillow which allows air flow to and from the face for inhalation and exhalation comfort. The support pillow may be completely constructed of PVC plastic with an air valve. The support pillow may be completely inflatable. The support pillow may also be accompanied with a terrycloth or similar fabric cloth which rests on the top of the support pillow for added comfort and is tied to the support pillow around the bottom base of the support pillow. A pocket may be sown in the pillow cover to allow insertion of a fragrance which would give the user an aroma therapy effect and added comfort to the user. A pocket may be sown on the pillow cover that is capable of holding an MP3 player.

Abstract: Silver coated nylon fibers are disclosed that can be used to make fabrics that are silver coated on one side of the fabric. Silver coated nylon fabrics provide an antimicrobial surface which remains on the surface and retains its antimicrobial characteristic until destroyed. The methods of adherence of the silver to the nylon fabric may be performed in a number of ways. The creation of a single fabric with one side silver coated and the other side being dyed or left natural is encompassed within this invention. In addition there can be more than two yarns creating the fabric such as the use of spandex to provide a more elastic garment.

Abstract: A fitted pillow case for receiving a contour pillow. The pillow case comprises a cover member having a first end and a second end and being manufactured from a first predetermined material and having a first predetermined size and a first predetermined shape. There is an opening disposed in such cover member closely adjacent a first end thereof for receiving the contour pillow. Abstract: A bed covering system is disclosed comprising an upper sheet and a lower sheet wherein the lower sheet fits on a mattress in a removable manner. The upper sheet is connected to the lower sheet through expandable flaps of material. A zipper runs between the sides of the upper and lower sheets such that when it is zipped, the upper sheet is pulled tightly against the lower sheet but when it is unzipped the upper sheet is allowed to move away from the lower sheet to the extent of the expandable flaps or material.

The sofa sheet set includes a bottom sheet that comprises a generally rectangular top portion and a peripheral side section, the side section having at a lower end thereof an embedded elastic band for capturing a plurality of sofa cushions. The sofa sheet set further includes a generally rectangular top sheet fixed at one of its long sides at a seam to one of the long sides of the bottom sheet. The top sheet is larger in length and width than the top portion of the bottom sheet. The enclosure stretches over the headrest. The sleeve is made of a flexible and resilient material, and is coupled to the enclosure at a position that places the pillow in position to support the neck of the user of the headrest. The enclosure may optionally have a strap. The strap may be releasably and/or slidingly coupled to the enclosure. Optionally, the tube or sleeve may also be slidingly coupled to the strap. The pillow holder is designed for pillows of various shapes and sizes, including standard-sized pillows and stuffed toys. The enclosure may additionally be coupled to headrest supports. More than one enclosure may be coupled to one strap. The strap may optionally be worn as a shoulder strap.

Abstract: A fabric for the prevention and treatment of skin wounds, and pressure wounds in particular, which includes a woven fabric having warp yarns and filling yarns woven to provide a smooth fabric surface. One of the warp or filling yarns is at least about 40% by weight of the fabric of continuous filament nylon, and the other of the warp or filling yarns is from about 0% to about 60% by weight of the fabric of continuous filament polyester or nylon having non-round filament cross sections. Abstract: The covering system includes a plurality of cover members having releasable fasteners disposed on the periphery of the cover members for forming a case or cover for a pillow, cushion, or other article, such as a laptop computer. The releasable fastener may be a zipper fastener in which each cover member has a stringer attached about its periphery and a slider that is not permanently attached to a cover member, but which is temporarily locked to the teeth assemblies of two cover members so that the cover members can be zipped to form a case for the article. The two cover members may have different designs, and a single cover member may have different decorative designs on opposite sides to form a reversible cover member. The covering system permits panels to be interchanged or reversed to provide the case with any desired decorative appearance.

In one form, a device for extending a portion of a fabric material of a linen cover at a corner edge of the linen cover is provided. The device includes an elongated substrate of flexible material having a length, a first end and a second end. The device further includes a coupling mechanism operable to secure the elongated substrate to the corner edge of the linen cover and extend a portion of the linen cover a distance from a perimeter of the linen cover.

Abstract: A sleeping bag comprises first and second halves and an entrance end having an entrance aperture. At the entrance end, a first member attachment zipper half extends across the first half, and a second member attachment zipper half extends across the second half. A detachable pillow sleeve can be removably secured to the sleeping bag by securing a pillow sleeve attachment zipper half on the detachable pillow sleeve to either the first or second member attachment zipper half. The pillow sleeve also has a first hood attachment zipper half, and a detachable hood can be removably secured to the pillow sleeve by securing a second hood attachment zipper half on the hood to the first hood attachment zipper half. The hood can also be secured directly to the sleeping bag by securing the second hood attachment zipper half to either the first or second member attachment zipper half.

Further in this manner the positioning guides on the mattress are adjacent to the ends of the head end of the upper surface of the mattress.

Abstract: By way of example, the preferred modification for the pillowcase with a storage pocket to house a condom improvement, resolve in a flap closure. The flap closure now secures the condom from being misplace when continual movement occurs through out the entire pillowcase. The condom is secure inside the pocket by pushing the added flap in a downward motion with your fingers overlapping the insertion opening entrance. Moreover, pulling the flap in an upward motion open the non-stitch side to gain entry through out the pocket body where the condom can be retrieve. The flap closure is sewn into the pillowcase fabric ½ inch above the pocket entrance. The flap is the same measurement in width for the pocket, and it securely fit over the insertion opening evenly across on to the pocket.

The system also includes a padded booster that is configured to rest on the top surface of the pillow body. The booster has a midportion and a pair of ends. The ends have a height that is larger than the height at the midportion, and the midportion is flexible to permit the booster to be folded in half.

The cover has an opening to receive a body pillow. A pair of pockets to receive the feet of the person using the body pillow are disposed opposite to one another on the left and right sides, respectively, of the cover toward the bottom edge, one pocket on the left side and one pocket on the right side, so disposed as to each receive a foot of the person. The cover may be made of various fabrics corresponding to ambient conditions or the particular preferences of the user. The pockets may be detachably attached.

The pillow case may include a first pocket attached to the top, and a second pocket attached to the bottom. The pillow case may have a main inner chamber located within the pillow case, such that a pillow cushion can be located within the pillow case. The first pocket may run substantially along an entire width of the pillow case, and the second pocket may run substantially along an entire length of the pillow case.
