Abstract: A display having mating door sections includes a frame, upper and lower parallel, spaced apart door mounts affixed to the frame, and doors mounted to the frame between the door mounts for securing panels thereto. The door mounts each include openings in vertical alignment with one another for mounting the doors. Each door is mounted to the display frame, between the upper and lower door mounts. Each door has first and second mating door sections joined to one another at a mating juncture. The mating door sections each have a raised rim around a rear portion and upper and lower edges of the sections defining a central recessed region. The recessed region has a plurality of apertures therein, each defining a raised sleeve portion and an opening therein. Each door includes upper and lower pivot pins at about the rear portion at the upper and lower rims respectively.

Abstract: A desk arrangement is provided which includes freestanding furniture units, namely, a stationary cabinet and a movable table. While the movable table is movable relative to the cabinet, the cabinet and table are connected together by an intermediate link top which permits relative movement therebetween but interconnects the cabinet and table to define a single interconnected furniture unit. The link top is both slidable and pivotable relative to the cabinet and table to permit sliding and pivoting of the table between a closed position directly adjacent to the cabinet and an open position spaced outwardly therefrom. The link top can define an auxiliary worksurface and also defines a bridge between the cabinet and table to which cabling can be connected. This arrangement thereby permits flexible repositioning of the table while also permitting power and/or communications cabling to be routed therebetween.

Abstract: An information display system is disclosed. A work environment providing a work area and a workstation including the information display system are also disclosed. The information display system includes a track system adapted to attach to a mounting structure and a plurality of display panels coupled to the track system for movement with respect to the mounting structure. The display panels are adapted to present information selectively for display by pivotal and translating movement of the plurality of display panels. The track system may include at least one rail. The display panels may be cantilevered away from the track system at a vertical elevation to provide clearance below the display panels for a seated worker. The information display system may include a plurality of containers coupled to the track system for movement with respect to the mounting structure, with each of the plurality of containers is adapted to include at least one display panel.

Abstract: A furniture system including a substantially planar partition panel, a furniture unit and a bracket assembly. The substantially planar partition panel extends in vertical and horizontal directions and has a framework. The framework has at least first and second attachment sites, with the first and second attachment sites being spaced apart. The bracket assembly includes a first member and a second member. The first member is detachably secured to the framework at the first attachment site and has a portion freely extending therefrom relative to the framework. The second member is detachably secured to the framework at the second attachment site and has a portion freely extending therefrom relative to the framework.

Abstract: A panel, paneling system and method of installing the paneling system. The panel includes a tongue and groove for engaging adjacent panels, a profile having cross members for reinforcement and the ability to attach the panel or paneling system to a wall.

Abstract: This invention comprises reinforced industrial vaults with segmented knock-outs having a variety of shapes and orientations. The invention also comprises vaults having cast-in cable racks. The cable racks can be electrically connected to the reinforcing elements during manufacture, providing electrical grounding of electronic equipment placed in the vault. Cable channels can be installed at desired locations by selecting a knock-out, removing the knock-out and installing a terminator plate having cable conduits. Cable conduits can have diaphragms that can be removed to provide additional choices for locating cable channels. Cable channels can be provided in a vault in the field, even if the vault has been already installed.

Abstract: An adjustable apparatus includes a partition having upper and lower horizontal frame members, and first and second support panel subassemblies adjustably attached to the partition for adjustably supporting a horizontal panel, such as a shelf. Upper and lower brackets each include a U-shaped section that mateably vertically adjustably engages a rear edge of the associated vertical support panel for providing vertical adjustability. Screws secure the U-shaped section at a selected height to the associated vertical support panel. The upper and lower brackets each further include an attachment flange section with hooks shaped to horizontally adjustably engage slots in the respective horizontal frame members. The upper and lower brackets are selectively attachable to the partition in a plurality of positions including off-module positions located between side edges of the partition. At least one horizontal shelf or worksurface extends between, is attached to, and is supported by the support panel subassemblies.

Abstract: An information display system is disclosed. A work environment providing a work area and a workstation including the information display system are also disclosed. The information display system includes a track system adapted to attach to a mounting structure and a plurality of display panels coupled to the track system for movement with respect to the mounting structure. Abstract: A screen assembly is adapted to connect to a partition of the type having at least one upright frame member with openings in opposite side faces thereof to receive support hooks of hang-on accessory units. The screen assembly includes a sheet member defining at least one side edge, and a bracket is connected to the sheet member adjacent the side edge. The bracket includes a first member configured to extend around at least a portion of a first side of the upright frame member. The first member includes a connector adapted to engage the openings in the first side face of the upright frame member. The bracket also includes a second member configured to extend around at least a portion of a second side of the upright frame member. The second member includes a connector adapted to engage openings in a second side face of the upright frame member.

Abstract: A partition includes at least two vertical posts with upper and lower beams having opposite ends thereof interconnecting the vertical posts to define when in an assembled condition, a rigid panel frame having a substantially open interior. The panel frame defines a vertical dimension. At least one cover panel is configured to enclose at least a portion of the open interior of the panel frame, and is removably mounted on the panel frame to readily access the open interior thereof. The cover panel defines an interior surface and a center portion spaced-apart from the posts. A cover panel brace is connected with the upper beam, and has an outer surface abutting the interior surface of the cover panel to support the cover panel adjacent the center portion to prevent flexing of the cover panel. The cover panel brace is longitudinally extensible to accommodate variations of the vertical dimension between the upper and lower beams.

Abstract: A slat wall structure including a substantially vertical support portion and at least one substantially horizontal web extending from the support portion. An end of the web includes a downwardly depending portion extending longitudinally along the end of the web, with the downwardly depending portion defining an upwardly extending recess. The recess is located below each of the webs, whereby both hook-like engagement brackets and upwardly extending mounting flange brackets can be supported by the slat wall. The web can also include a downwardly extending portion that defines at least one screw boss, wherein screws are receivable to mount the slat wall from its end. A pair of oppositely disposed and mutually spaced vertical end walls having a slat wall located between and attached to the end walls by screws placed through the vertical end walls and into the screw boss to thereby secure a side of the web to the vertical end walls and form an integral upright assembly which may be self-supporting.

Abstract: A system of directional lights for use in office spaces, wherein each of individual directional lights is adapted to be plugged into electrical outlets and has a selectable directional indicator. The directional light has light transmitting windows in its front face which selectively transmit light to indicate a select direction. The directional lights thereby are portable and reconfigurable, and are mounted throughout an office area to direct occupants to a destination such as an exit or conference room.

Abstract: A workstation having an adjustable support structure is disclosed. The workstation includes a beam, a position locking apparatus, and a workpiece-supporting device slideable along the beam to a position where it is locked by the locking apparatus. The locking apparatus is configured to exert a constraining force proportional to a load force. Also disclosed is a workstation including a means for supporting a workpiece, a means for supporting a means for supporting the workpiece at a selected distance above a floor, and a means for frictionally securing the means for supporting the workpiece to the means for supporting the means for supporting the workpiece.

Abstract: A stackable wall panel system including at least one upper and lower wall panel, a first and second corner post and an insert. The insert threadably engages an upper portion of the first corner post, and the second corner post is disposed on the first corner post over the insert. A connector connects the second corner post and the insert. One or more upper wall panels are connected to a pair of lower wall panels with an alignment clip, a pair of draw blocks and a draw rod.

Abstract: An improved, multifunction office furniture system having a novel interlocking connecting mechanism which permits the easy assembly of a variety of different structural components in a variety of different configurations to form highly efficient work areas. The system includes uniquely configured, vertical support columns to which a number of different types of structural components can be quickly and easily connected and provides a highly versatile work station system which is very attractive, is easy to assembly, disassemble and adjust, and yet, is structurally sound and durable in use. Because of its novel construction, the system is capable of readily accommodating changing work conditions in the users' facilities.

Abstract: A slat wall death care merchandise display unit comprising a back wall with a plurality of slats attached such that a plurality of parallel, uniform slots are created. A category delineator can be inserted to divide and organize the display of death care related merchandise. Additionally, a cornice can be inserted into at least one slot to provide a display location for category headers. Moreover, an illumination source can be hidden under the cornice to provide additional lighting in the viewing of the death care related merchandise.

Abstract: A partition system includes adjacent partitions that have aligned top frame members with abutting and horizontally aligned cantilevered end sections. An in-line connector system includes a flat top connector and a U-shaped bottom connector that mateably span between the cantilevered end sections and that engage top and bottom surfaces, respectively, on the top frame members. Specifically, the top connector fits into a cavity in a top of the top frame member. The bottom connector includes a bottom wall and opposing sidewalls that matingly receive and engage bottom and side surfaces of the cantilevered end sections. The connectors combine with a beam-like strength that holds the cantilevered end sections in a particularly stable in-line condition.

Abstract: Movable office furniture consisting of the following system components: a travelling table (1), a filing trolley (1) a cupboard, an equipment box and a shelf partition (7). Said office furniture can be used in permanent company offices, at exhibitions, conferences or in the home. The tables have no cross tie-bars close to the ground between legs. At least one interchangeable box (100) can be inserted into the various types of trolleys (4). Many of such boxes can be inserted into cupboards. Shelves can be installed on shelf partitions (7) and office equipment and stationery can be stored thereon. Shelf partitions (7) can be placed back to back to form a double wall in a room and have the advantage of being produced from sound absorbing material. The office furniture can be spontaneously rearranged and several components of the system are interslidable in order to gain space.

Abstract: A wall system includes a wall section, such as a section of a partition, having a horizontal frame defining a horizontal row of attachment sites, such as a row of slots. An adjustable bracket includes a pair of vertical blades constructed to engage selected ones of the attachment sites, and further includes at least one telescoping horizontal support spanning between and supported by the pair of vertical blades, and still further includes universal connector brackets for engaging the telescoping horizontal support. The horizontal spacing of the blades can be adjusted to accommodate a component, and the telescopingly adjustable horizontal support can be adjusted to reach between the blades. The universal connectors adjustably engage the horizontal support and include slots to facilitate attachment to connectors on a back, a bottom, or sides of the component.

Abstract: The Village Wall system utilizes furniture, equipment, components, and accessories in the creation of unique office designs. Two parallel rails are attached to existing walls and support fixed tackboards and rolling accessories, e.g., markerboards, shelves, bookcases, etc. An outrigger beam is releasably connected, orthogonally, anywhere along the length of one of the rails. The other end of the outrigger beam is fixed to a pedestal which rotatably supports a work surface. Electrical power and communication services are provided through a wire managing service zone attached to the existing wall, a wire managing channel formed in the outrigger beam, a wire and cable storage facility within the interior of the pedestal, and through a grommet to the top of the work surface. Work areas without walls are defined by the location of the work surface along the existing wall.

Abstract: An installation duct for accommodating at least gas outlet couplings shall be improved such that the gas supply lines leading to the gas outlet couplings can be laid and connected in a simple manner. This is accomplished with the features of a connection plate (3), on which the gas outlet couplings (4, 5) are fastened, with a middle part (6) that can be placed on the connection plate (3), and with a cover plate (7), which is fastened to end parts (21, 22) of the side walls (13, 14) of the installation duct (1) pointing away from the connection plate (3).

Abstract: A partition system includes having a [covered] face and a horizontal frame member. A C-shaped structured channel is attached to the horizontal frame member outboard of the [covered] face. The channel extends horizontally and includes top and bottom parallel flanges that attach to the horizontal frame member and that define a horizontal wireway adjacent to the horizontal frame member. Apertures are formed in the top and bottom flanges for routing utilities into the wireway from above or below. Wiring routed through the apertures can be protected by sleeves. A shelf or worksurface is supported in cantilevers on the channel. A flexible is attached over the channel. Vertical blade supports for shelves can also be supported on the partition with vertically spaced rear brackets attached to the partition.
