Phosphorus Containing Patents (Class 536/117)
  • Patent number: 4096250
Abstract: The compounds are tri-substituted phosphinegold(I) 1-thio-.beta.-D-glucopyranosides which have antiarthritic activity and, in particular, are of use in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Of the three substituents on the phosphine one is optionally substituted phenyl and the others are lower alkyl or lower alkoxy.

  • Patent number: 4086302
Abstract: Compounds of the formulas ##STR1## WHEREIN: X represents oxygen or sulfur;Z represents the residue of a hydroxyl-containing moiety;R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 in formula (1) may be the same or different and individually represent alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl and, together with the common nitrogen atom, represent a 5 or 6 member ring containing oxygen, sulfur or nitrogen or combination thereof;Nr.sub.1 r.sub.2 in formula (2) represents a 5 or 6 member ring containing oxygen, sulfur or nitrogen or combination thereof;n represents an integer having a value of 2 or greater and is equal to the number of hydroxyl groups on the orginal hydroxyl-containing moiety, the residue of which is now represented by Z.are prepared by reacting a phosphorohalidate with an amine in an organic solvent containing aqueous alkali metal or ammonium hydroxide. The compounds are useful as flame retardants for natural and synthetic materials.

  • Patent number: 4006134
Abstract: Calcium sucrose phosphate is manufactured in a unit operating on a semi-continuous principle by circulating a lime-sugar slurry continuously at a high rate from a holding vessel through a heat exchanger as precooler, a cooled scraped-wall reactor into which phosphorus oxychloride is injected and then back to the holding vessel. The serious problem of gel formation of the reaction mixture on cooling surfaces is obviated by this circulation technique.

  • Patent number: 3978044
Abstract: This invention relates to indazole derivatives, to processes for their preparation and to pharmaceutical compositions containing them.More specifically this invention relates to 4, 5, 6, 7-tetrahydroindazoles bearing at the 3-position an amino substituent. This invention also relates to processes for producing the same which include the steps of condensing a substituted cyclohexanone with a secondary amine, reacting the thus formed enamine either with an isocyanate or thiocyanate or with phosgene imonium salt and cyclizing the intermediate compound with a hydrazino derivative. The compounds of the invention have therapeutic utility, namely as a means for controlling fertility in mammals.
