An inner space is formed between the first sheet and the second sheet to accommodate a pack agent therein.

Abstract: A tongue cleaning device includes a tool head defining a trough that delivers the vacuum flow from an inlet to the inner surface disposed above a working edge for efficient removal of debris. The trough has a defined rear wall giving it a defined width. This allows the vacuum flow to be directed to where it is needed to remove debris. One configuration of the device has a head that defines a liquid distribution channel with an outlet disposed in front of the working edge with a supply of liquid being removably in fluid communication with the liquid distribution channel. The liquid supply being a bulk supply or a hand held bottle with a supply tube extending down the handle of the device. Another configuration of the device includes vacuum control openings controlled by the user's finger.

Abstract: A vibrating back massager with guide slot and vibrating heads is described. The guide slot is designed to restrict lateral movement of the massage device when the guide slot is engaged with a supporting member. The supporting member may be the edge of an open door, a corner, a vertical pole, or other generally available structure. The device includes a strap handle which may be draped over the user's shoulder and used to control the vertical position of the device. The described vibrating massage device allows a single user to create and maintain a significant amount of massage pressure without fatiguing his arms or relying on a second person. In a preferred embodiment, the controls for the vibrating massage device are incorporated into the strap handle so that the speed, intensity, and/or temperature may be controlled by the user without repositioning the device.

An arced tine comprises an arced flexible member; a base situated at a proximal end of the arced flexible member, and a tip. The base is connected to the lower portion of the handle. The tip is situated at a distal end of the arced flexible member. The arced flexible member has an elongated arced profile between the base and the tip.

A chamber may define a treatment space having an interior engineered surface including a plurality of structures configured to provide pathways for the distribution of negative pressure and to exert mechanical stress on a wound. In some specific embodiments, the devices and methods may treat wounds on the head, neck, and face. One or more tubes may be in fluid communication with the treatment space to facilitate the application of negative pressure, the introduction of therapeutic agents, and the removal of wound material.

Abstract: An apparatus and method of improving the efficiency of lymphatic and venous circulation of the lower body using a seat cushion composed of breathable open celled polyurethane fabric with strips of dense foam to provide compression with constant shear force to interstitial tissue. The strips of dense foam apply a shear force onto the interstitial tissue, which positively affects the thixotropic properties of the interstitial fluid in the congested fibrotic tissue and thereby decreases the viscosity of the interstitial fluid over time. The strips of the dense foam are designed in such a pattern that channels interstitial fluid away from the dorsolateral and dorsomedial lymphatic territory of the thigh to the lymphatic capillary network on the lateral border of the thigh and lower lymph quadrant of the trunk.

These tools may also include a controller and one or more user inputs. The physical therapy tools may be operated at different operating modes (e.g., continuously varying pressure modes, step-pulse high frequency modes, step-pulse low frequency modes) for treating a subject's spine, and may be part of a system or kit. Methods of treating a subject using these physical therapy tools are also described herein.

A ball strap can be threaded through a hole in a ball and then operatively coupled with the toe strap. When operatively coupled to the toe strap, the ball strap keeps the ball positioned on the bottom of the foot while allowing ball mobility. The mobility of the ball can provide directed pressure on at least one component of the plantar fascia. Notably, the simultaneous combination of tension to the plantar fascia and directed pressure to the component(s) of the plantar fascia can be particularly effective at relieving foot pain.
