A pair of leg openings are formed below joining portions between side edges of the front part and side edges of the back part. A suspending member is formed with a stretchable material and extended from the front part, the crotch part and the back part. The suspending member is gradually reduced a width from the waist portion to the crotch part in the back part. An extension cloth extends from both sides of the suspending member to the leg openings at least in the crotch part.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a protective garment, which may be in the form of an undergarment or outerwear, such as a swimwear. The garment includes a body conforming portion for preventing leakage of body waste liquids. The garment includes, at least in the area of the garment which might come into contact with the body waste liquids, sheet material which comprises a lamination consisting of only two laminae. The first lamina is a liquid permeable fabric and the second lamina is a liquid impermeable but vapour permeable material. The liquid permeable fabric is positioned interiorly of the liquid impermeable but vapour permeable material having regard to the inside and outside of such a garment. Liquids are permitted to pass into and through the inner liquid permeable lamina to the interface between the inner laminae and liquid impermeable outer laminae whereat this liquid can be evaporated or dehydrated through the vapour permeable outer laminae.

The absorbent articles allow the wearer to choose between conventional and pull-on diaper configurations, or combinations thereof, and properly and comfortably fit a large range of wearer sizes. Further, the absorbent articles can be pulled on and/or off as a pant. The vertical cuffs attached to the topsheet extend upward from the respective side edges of the core assembly to define a first region there between for the containment of body exudates. The core assembly is positioned on the center of a liquid impermeable backsheet between a second set of vertical cuffs. The space between the second set of vertical cuffs and the core assembly define a second containment region for body exudates.

The seamless leak guards are provided by incorporating a substantially liquid-impermeable outer cover into the garment having lateral edges which extend substantially beyond the lateral edges of the absorbent layer. Elastic bands attached to the outer cover urge the edges upward during wear, and against the wearer's body, to prevent leakage of waste material. The portions of the outer cover which extend laterally beyond the absorbent layer serve as seamless leak guards.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a means of reproducibly and consistently folding the ear panels on disposable absorbent articles in order to simplify and accelerate the diaper opening process for the user, reduce the risk of potential injury to the end user and wearer caused by clipped ear panels, and create for packaging purposes, a more aesthetically satisfying arrangement in the disposable diaper pack. In another aspect of the invention, a method for the making of a disposable absorbent diaper, which incorporates the folding of the ear panels, is outlined.

The crotch fits between the user's legs during use and the waist band wraps around the user's waist. The garment may have a one-, two-, or three-piece construction. The garment also has an absorbent core disposed generally in the crotch region. At least part of the interior surfaces of the garment are liquid-pervious to allow fluids to be absorbed into the absorbent core. The exterior surfaces of the garment are generally liquid-impervious, to prevent the fluid in the absorbent core from being released from the garment. The garment of the present invention may be donned quickly, easily, and with a minimum amount of exposure to unsanitary conditions or embarrassment. The garment of the present invention may also be donned by persons with limited use of their hands.

Abstract: A method of making a prefolded diaper or other undergarment includes the steps of forming a web of diaper material, placing a fastening system divided between front and back waist sections onto each diaper section of the web and cutting the web to define individual diapers. The diapers are then folded in half at the crotch section and are then microwaved in a high power resonant cavity microwave device to activate the latent elastic portions which are buried within the folded diaper. Where desired, the refastenable fastening system of the diaper, or the front and back waist sections or the diaper, may be registered in a fastening alignment and fastened together when the diaper is folded to create diapers which are useful upon removal from the point of sale container as pull on training pants.

Abstract: A disposable pull-on diaper includes a pair of tape fasteners which are adapted to hold the diaper in rolled up state, the tape fasteners are provided at transversely opposite side edges of a rear waist region so as to extend along the side edges in a longitudinal direction, each of the tape fasteners has an upper end portion lying adjacent a waist-opening and a lower end portion lying adjacent each of leg-openings, and the upper end portions are bonded to the diaper by means of bonding zones which obliquely extend inward in a waist-surrounding direction from the transversely opposite side edges of the rear waist region toward the lower end portions.

Abstract: Provided is a sanitary panty having a waist band in a waist part, leg bands in leg openings, and a napkin fitting portion in a crotch part. In a three-dimensionally shaped condition as worn, a dimensional ratio between a center front length from the crotch part to the waist part and a minimum total length from the leg opening to the waist part is in a range of 80 to 200 in the total length, as taking that the center front length is 100. In a back part, an elastic lifting member extending from the crotch part to the waist part is provided.
