  • Patent number: 10612169
Abstract: Provided is a knitting method and a knitting mechanism, and a circular knitting machine, in which in jacquard or semi jacquard knitting using a circular knitting machine, welt stitching is avoided so as to prevent the breakage and overlapping of yarns and filaments. According to the present invention, only needles selected for knitting and needles selected for tucking perform stitching, and needles selected for welting are prevented from performing stitching by a deactivation method, and thus the needles selected for welting do not perform stitching, so that the load on old loops can be suppressed, and breakage and overlapping of yarns and filaments can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 7739889
Abstract: A circular knitting machine for hosiery or the like, which comprises at least one needle cylinder which has a vertical axis and on the lateral surface of which there are axial slots. Each of these axial slots accommodates a needle (106) and an actuation element (110) for the needle (106) which can engage, with one of its ends, the needle (106) arranged in the same axial slot. The needle (106) or the actuation element (110) is provided with a fixed heel (103a), which protrudes radially from the axial slot, and a movable heel (104a) which can be extracted radially on command from the axial slot. Actuation cams are arranged around the needle cylinder and can be engaged by the fixed heels (103a) and by the movable heels (104a) in the extracted position. The machine can perform the usual knitting of known types of machine despite having an actuation cam set which has an extremely small number of actuation cams which can move for activation or deactivation, or none at all.

Abstract: The invention relates to Jacquard selection in a textile machine characterized by a selection jack (1) provided with a spring (M1) by which, after the preselection phase in which the jacks are guided by a cam inside the cylinder, they move out under the pressure of the spring, thus modifying the path or the functions; or remain contained and/or retained in the cylinder by a selector and/or other member disposed frontally which prevents their moving out. According to circumstances, the selector, even if fixed, can move vertically, horizontally and also radially, with minimum time and space, without lateral impact on the incoming butts and/or jacks. Finally, the actuators, together with the cams of the jacks and/or needles, are incorporated in a modular support to modify the type of selection and/or for textile operations other than the Jacquard type.

Abstract: A device for needle-by-needle selection in circular stocking knitting machines is disclosed. An elastic lock pin or segment (19) is provided for each lower needle (13) of the type having an elastic deflection tail. The segment is carried by a crown (22) fixed with the cylinder and usually in a position shifted downwards away from the tail of the lower needle. A thruster (20) is provided under the lock segment, which can be moved upwards and is intended to deflect the lock segment (19) up to the level of interception with the tail of the lower needle (13). This results in a locking of the lower needle in the deflected, inoperative position. A selection electromagnet (21) is provided which can be activated and deactivated according to a program to hold or release the lock segment. The activation/deactivation keeps the inoperative lower needle locked or releases it because it is moved towards the outside into the operating position.

A loading cam brings the springs of the sinkers into contact with the face of the actuator, wherein they are retained by magnetic force. A narrow area of the face of the actuator can be de-magnetized by impulses emitted by an electronic control system.
