Abstract: A knife and device assembly includes a knife with a blade part and a handle part having on the blade part, near the handle part, a hook shaped part with an interior recess, in combination with a device comprising an extended handle. A front end of the handle has both a pin for engaging with and pivoting in the hook shaped part of the blade part, and a cutting element to cut metal wires and the like. The handle fulfills the function of cutting pliers with the handle part of the knife. The front end of the handle has a fork shape with two wings braced by the pin. The cutting element is received in a space formed between the wings, the pin and a bottom of the fork shape, and has a cutting part projecting beyond the handle.

Abstract: A multi-functional demolition tool is disclosed including a head assembly having a tip, a plurality of blades, and one or more movable talons; a handle shaft connected to the head assembly; an actuating mechanism for engaging and disengaging the talons; and a handle assembly, which may include a hammer end and/or pry bar end. The demolition tool is useful for, among other things, firefighters. The tool may be used to puncture a ceiling or other structure and to remove the ceiling material with the aid of the movable talons. The movable talons will automatically disengage if they hit an obstruction. The movable talons can be manually disengaged to prevent the tool from getting stuck in the ceiling or other structure.

Abstract: A fixed blade knife that is intended for survival or tactical use is provided with a removable, ejectable, self contained compartment for the storage and carriage of survival and/or tactical gear within the handle of the knife. A self contained, removable compartment is superior to a separate butt cap for the handle as a butt cap requires the use of two functioning hands for removal, is not as fast as an ejectable compartment and can be lost rendering the handle useless for the storage and carriage of gear. The self contained compartment eliminates the necessity for a butt-cap, can be ejected quickly with a single digit that may or not be otherwise useless due to injury or environmental conditions. The compartment also serves to contain the gear there-in separate from the knife handle to prevent loss and allow use of said gear by a second individual while the knife itself may be in use by the primary user.

Either the handle material itself or an internal cathode operates in conjunction with the mischmetal flint rod to form a power source. A strike plate mounted within a guided angled recess is disposed on a housing to present the mischmetal flint rod with a strike source such dragging the mischmetal flint rod across the strike plate release sparks from the mischmetal flint rod sufficient to ignite a tinder bundle.

Abstract: A bit structure for powered tools includes a shank action end at one end of a bit and a tool gripping section at another end. The shank action end has a conical directing portion formed by extending rearwards from a front edge of the shank action end. The directing portion is extended rearwards to form an expansion bore cutting section between the shank action end and the tool gripping section. The expansion bore cutting section has at one axial cutting edge formed at a length equal to or greater than the maximum diameter of the directing portion. The bit structure thus formed can simultaneously perform multiple functions of drilling holes, expanding holes and fastening screws faster with less time and effort.

The handle portion carries two opposite window breaking elements adapted for breaking and shattering tempered motor vehicle window glass. The cutting slots lead to sharp blades fixed at the closed end of each slot which are adapted for cutting the belt webbing material of motor vehicle seat belts. Abstract: The heated snow shovel combines a snow shovel with an ice chopper. Both shovel and chopper are configured to resemble a human hand or glove. Heat is supplied to both utensils via battery-powered electric heating coils. Mounted on a common handle, the ice chopper utensil can be raised and lowered relative to the shovel. The ice chopper can also be made to vibrate. Controls are provided to regulate the heat supplied to each utensil. The handle is ergonomically configured to enhance comfort.

The thread cutter preferably includes a blade projection and a safety projection extending from a cutter base. A cover cap may be placed over the thread cutter. The grasping implement includes a first grasping leg and a second grasping leg. A first contact pad is formed on one end of first grasping leg and a second contact pad is formed on one end of the second grasping leg. The first and second contact pads are biased away from each other. The other ends of the first and second grasping legs receive cutter base. The first grasping leg, the second grasping leg and the thread cutter may be attached to each other with any suitable assembly method. The finger base may be retained over grasping implement and the thread cutter.

A handle is provided forward of the bend extending in an upward direction perpendicularly to the rear section of the body. Incorporated into the upward end of the handle is a window punch. A pry bar is attached to the rearward end of the body portion. Incorporated into the forward end of the tool is a swivel segment. The swivel segment incorporates both a windshield spike and a windshield saw blade. In the open position, the saw blade extends from the swivel segment, running parallel with the front section of the body and the spike extends upward from the swivel segment perpendicular to the rear section of the body. When closed, the saw blade fits inside a slot in the body portion extending from the swivel segment inline with the front section of the body and the spike extends downward perpendicular to the rear section of the body from the swivel segment.

Abstract: A locking device for a watersports apparatus which in one embodiment, comprises a pair of interlocking brackets which form an inverted “T” when slidably disposed in a channel associated with a fin box. Apertures are provided to allow a cable or other security device to traverse the inverted “T” locking device for securing the watersports apparatus. In a second embodiment, a pair of generally planar scissor members having a pair of unguiform clasping elements aligned in opposition and configured to clasp a rod disposed in a tether plug aperture by scissor action. Useful watersport tools may be provided on the distal ends of the generally planar scissor members. The useful tools include a screwdriver, a wax comb, a bottle cap opener and a wax scrapper.

The handle portion is used for holding the S-shaped tool and the handle portion is located between the ring portion and a blade portion. The blade portion further comprises an inside curve portion near said handle portion for trapping and hooking capabilities. The tool can be in a solid form or in a foldable version such as a folding knife. The hand-tool attachment has an attachment-box with two thumb set-screws and a free-floating clamping-plate for securing various pre-existing, flat-shaped hand-tools such as roofing shovels, potato forks and floor scrapers; and, attached thereto is an angled knife-blade, supported by a skid plate, extending from the attachment-box. The relief cuts create smaller, workable portions of the lay-down material for easier removal and clean-up using common techniques. The hand-tool attachment may be made of any material that may provides the strength and cutting ability for attaching to a hand-tool and making relief cuts.

Abstract: An improvement to a writing instrument with stylus, a pocket clip and an integrated letter-opening blade. The improvement consists of locating the letter-opening blade in the pocket clip of the pen. The blade is prevented from cutting the pocket of the user due to a blade protector that is mechanically linked to the mechanism that extends and retracts with the marking or writing tip. In an alternate embodiment, the blade is located on the opposite side of the pocket clip. The extending and retracting mechanism can be a variety of types including twists press, sliding. The stylus provides input to a PDA, touch screen or other tactile input device. Another embodiment includes a letter opener with a stylus.
