In use the first shaft is pulled upwards for moving the lower plate towards the upper plate for enclosing and blocking the pedal arm therebetween. When the first shaft is pushed downwards with respect to the second hollow shaft, the upper and lower plates are separated to free the pedal arm.

The second hook is locked to the horizontal member after the second hook engages the second yoke shaft to prevent the second hook and the horizontal member from being removed from the second yoke shaft.

    Abstract: An automobile lock including a locking member provided with a locking core in the interior and a clamp for engaging a steering wheel on the outer side, a transmission member, an adjusting member, a telescopic rod extending through the adjusting member, provided with a universal joint connected with an insert plate, and having a plurality of teeth, and a gearing having a first gear disposed in the locking member, a second gear in the transmission member, a third and a fourth gears in the adjusting member, a slider between the third gear and the fourth gear, a fifth gear mounted on the other end of the slider, a sixth gear in said adjusting member, and a latch bolt at the other end of the sixth gear for engaging with a tooth of the telescopic rod, whereby the automobile lock may be used to lock the steering wheel as well as the cassette tape recorder.

Also included are means for adjustably lengthening or shortening the base member. In operation the throttle lock is engaged between the brake and accelerator pedals of a conventional motor vehicle. An operator may lengthen the throttle lock via the adjustable lengthening means in order to adjust the rate of engine shaft rotation. The throttle lock may be manufactured and installed such that an operator may return the engine to idle by simple depressing the accelerator pedal thereby causing the throttle lock to disengage.
