    Abstract: A bottom opening password lock comprises a lock case and a liner arranged in the lock case as well as a shackle connected with a top of the lock case, and a fork, a password assembly and a locking mechanism are installed and arranged on the liner; the password assembly comprises a pin shaft and a second spring, a clutch sleeve, a password wheel, a code adjusting lever and a washer sleeved on the pin shaft. One end of the second spring is abutted against an inner side of the washer, and the other end is abutted against the clutch sleeve away from the code adjusting lever. The bottom opening of the present invention adjusts a password through the code adjusting lever, the code adjusting lever is toggled manually, the code adjusting lever directly pushes the clutch sleeve to move and separate from the password wheel, and the pin shaft is motionless. The code adjusting lever is located at the bottom of a lock body, which is convenient to adjust, may not be lost, and is more convenient for users to use.

The protrusion is so located that when the lock is in the lock mode, the protrusion in each of the dial-clutch pairs is disengaged from the open slot, allowing the dial to rotate relative to the clutch. Since the clutches do not turn along with the dials and the faulty notches look similar to the open slot, it would be difficult for an intruder to pick the lock by peeking the protrusion of the clutches while rotating the dials.

With the overriding mechanism, the user can open the padlock with a backup key if the user forgets the combination code, and then reset the dials to a new combination code.

    Abstract: The present disclosure describes combination discus locks and associated methods. A lock device configured in accordance with a particular embodiment of the present disclosure includes a discus lock housing, a locking mechanism positioned in the lock housing, and a plurality of rotatable wheels operably coupled to the locking mechanism. The rotatable wheels can individually have a plurality of indicia used to display a combination. The locking mechanism can be configured to move from a locked configuration to an unlocked configuration when the combination is displayed. The lock device can further include a shackle and a slider actuator positioned on an outer surface of the lock housing. The slider actuator can be operably coupled to the shackle and to the locking mechanism, and can be configured to drive the shackle from a closed position to an open position when the locking mechanism is in the unlocked configuration.
