  • Patent number: 7357007
Abstract: A combination and padlock includes a housing including a front window, a dial assembly, a cylinder having a keyhole, a rotatable member secured to cylinder and having a spiral groove, a sleeve including fingers moveably retained in the groove, an indicator slidably mounted on the sleeve and including a first state surface having a color aligned with the window in a locked position, and a second state surface having a different color, and a shackle. Inserting a key into the keyhole to clockwise turn the cylinder and the rotatable member will move the sleeve downward by moving the fingers along the groove in one direction, and unlock the lock with the second state surface moved to align with the window for visually informing that the lock has been opened by the key. Alternatively, counterclockwise turning the inserted key will lock the lock and reset the indicator.

Abstract: A numeral lock structure including: a lock main body in which a lock core is arranged, the lock core being controlled by multiple numeral wheels to lock or unlock; a lock hook having a base end and an extending free end, the base end being pivotally inserted in one end of the lock main body, whereby the free end of the lock hook can be freely rotated about the base end; and a displaceable button disposed on the lock main body for restricting the free end of the lock hook. Top side of the displaceable button is formed with a notch in which the free end of the lock hook is restricted in a locked state. When the lock core is locked, the displaceable button is synchronously restricted from displacing to keep locking the lock book. When the lock core is unlocked, the displaceable button is synchronously displaceable, permitting the free end of the lock hook to be turned outward and detach out from the notch for unlocking.

  • Patent number: 6843080
Abstract: A lock with bendable shackle element openable in two ways mainly includes a main body, a bendable shackle element, a combination lock core, and a key lock core. The bendable shackle element has an end fixedly connected to the main body, and the other end movably held to a lock slot on the main body. Two ends of the lock slot are first and second locking holes respectively corresponding to the key lock core and the combination lock core, which control a blocking head and a shifting member, respectively, to block or open the two locking holes. The movable end of the bendable shackle element may be moved to one of the two locking holes to open the lock when the combination or the key lock core is released to move the shifting member or the blocking head away from a corresponding locking hole.

Abstract: A multiple function lock comprising an engaging element and a captive element. The engaging element enters a captive space provided in the captive element for locking the lock. sThe captive element includes a selectable passage into the captive space for permitting the engagement element to be selectively released or secured. The selectable passage is revealed or concealed through translation or rotation of a blocking element. In certain embodiments, the multiple function lock comprises a body, a shackle having toe and heel portions, a first locking mechanism for securing the heel portion to the body and a separate second locking mechanism for securing the toe portion to the body. The second locking mechanism is operative to engage and disengage the toe portion from the body so the shackle may rotate about the heel portion secured by the body.
