  • Patent number: 6615627
Abstract: A lock for a door has a casing, a bolt, a pivoted operating handle operable to retract the bolt, and lock structure comprising a lock cylinder. The lock cylinder is secured to the housing by a screw covered by a rose around the part of the housing, the rose being secured in place by fixing screws which can only be accessed upon removal of the casing assembly from the door and with the bolt in a retracted position. In this state, the shank of the screwdriver to undo each fixing screw can easily be passed through respective aligned openings in a cover plate of the housing assembly, the bolt, and the housing, thereby allowing removal of the rose and subsequent replacement of the cylinder without the need to remove components of the door lock itself.

  • Patent number: 6595033
Abstract: A leaf spring includes a plate having a hole into which a key cylinder is inserted, a notch into which a convex portion of the key cylinder is inserted, and spring tabs which can be bent elastically in the insertion direction of the key cylinder formed thereon. The top end of the spring tabs is inclined with respect to the bottom of the rectangular groove before bending, so that the top end is partially brought into contact with the back wall edge after bending. The key cylinder can be attached simply by inserting the key cylinder into the hole of an attachment unit. Freedom of the assembly order is therefore increased. Furthermore, the vibration of the key cylinder in the insertion direction of the key cylinder is reduced.

A lock bolt on the support has a release position, allowing mounting and demounting of the handle recess unit, and a securing position preventing demounting. The lock cylinder is bayonet-coupled in the support. A locking member locks the coupled lock cylinder, but can move from a locking into an unlocking position allowing coupling and decoupling of the lock cylinder. A cover is movable between an initial position preventing access to the lock bolt, and an end position, allowing access to the lock bolt. In the unlocking position, the locking member prevents a reversing movement of the cover; in the locking position, it allows a reversing movement.
