  • Patent number: 11585118
Abstract: A door lock device is provided and includes: a housing, an acting assembly arranged in the housing and having a lock tongue, an operating assembly arranged in the housing and interlocked with an outdoor handle, and a regulating assembly arranged in the housing for a user to regulate the operating assembly into an interlocking state or an idle state. As such, in the interlocking state, the outdoor handle drives the acting assembly through the operating assembly to cause the lock tongue to extend or retract relative to the housing, and in the idle state, the operating assembly cannot drive the acting assembly and the outdoor handle cannot be interlocked with the lock tongue.

  • Patent number: 8789398
Abstract: A security lock has a lock bolt that can be moved from an open position into a closed position and vice versa. A manually operated drive is provided to operate the lock bolt. Movement of the lock bolt is blocked in a blocked position by a bolt block. A gearing mechanism is arranged between the bolt block and an electric drive for moving the bolt block from a release position into a block position, and for blocking the bolt block against pivoting in the block position. The gearing mechanism ensures that, starting from a release position, the bolt block is first moved into a block position, and then the bolt block is blocked against pivoting in the opposite direction by continued running of the electric drive. The electric drive can be reversed to remove the block against the bolt block and to move the bolt block into the release position.

  • Patent number: 7007985
Abstract: An automatic mechanism and method for moving a deadbolt between a retracted deadbolt position and an extended deadbolt position. A trigger is operatively coupled to the deadbolt and to the auxiliary latch. The trigger is configured to cause a first movement of the deadbolt from the retracted deadbolt position to the extended deadbolt position when the trigger moves from a first trigger position to a second trigger position, and to require movement of the auxiliary latch a predetermined distance from a retracted auxiliary-latch position toward an extended auxiliary-latch position before the trigger is able to cause a second movement of the deadbolt. The method includes as a step preventing the deadbolt from being released from the retracted deadbolt position until the auxiliary latch has moved a predetermined distance from the retracted auxiliary-latch position toward the extended auxiliary-latch position.

  • Patent number: 6581423
Abstract: A door lock is proposed, in which an outside knob assembled at the outside of a door can be manually controlled to be operationally associated with or dissociated from the door lock. When the door lock is fastened, the outside knob can be selectively decoupled from the door lock and become idle; this is greatly beneficial as to prevent the door lock from being damaged even if the outside knob is exerted with external impact or forcibly turned by a strong force. The door lock is further provided with a fireproof mechanism, which prevents the door from being opened during a fire, thereby confining spreading of the fire to minimize fire-induced damage.

  • Patent number: 6557909
Abstract: A mortise lock is provided which includes a casing having a front plate for confronting a door frame and a pair of opposed side walls, the front plate having an opening for a latch bolt. A latch bolt is movable with respect to the casing between an extended position and a retracted position by a linkage connected to a hub to receive a door handle shaft, the latch bolt is rotatable axially, and the hub is rotatably secured between the opposed side walls of the casing. A slider plate for initiating movement of the linkage is provided that is movable from a first position wherein the linkage moves the latch bolt to the retracted position to a second position wherein the linkage moves the latch bolt back to the extended position. The slider plate has a preset adjuster, adjustable through at least one access aperture in the casing.

  • Patent number: 6536245
Abstract: A panic door lock includes a housing and a dead bolt that is movable in the housing between an extended position and a retracted position. The dead bolt is spring-loaded and tends to be moved to the extended position. The dead bolt has a slot defined in place therein. A detent has an inner claw adapted to enter the slot and retain the dead bolt in the retracted position as long as the dead bolt is moved to the first retracted position. In addition, a spring-loaded trigger having a tip normally extended out the housing is provided. The trigger is engagable with the detent so that the inner claw may exit the slot and release the dead bolt from the retracted position when the tip of the trigger is pressed into the housing.

  • Patent number: 6196035
Abstract: A door lock assembly includes a hollow casing, a latch, an actuator rod, and a drive mechanism. The casing has left and right side walls that are opposite to one another, and a rear wall interconnecting the left and right side walls. The left side wall has upper and lower openings formed therein. The latch is mounted movably in the casing in a latching direction between a latched position for allowing extension of the latch out of the casing via the upper opening and an unlatched position for allowing retraction of the latch into the casing. The actuator rod is disposed below the latch, and is movable in the casing along a direction parallel to the latching direction between an extended position outwardly of the casing via the lower opening and a retracted position. The actuator rod has an actuating element formed thereon, and a coiled spring for urging the actuator rod to the extended position.

  • Patent number: 6151935
Abstract: A deadbolt lock and a deadbolt which will extend automatically whenever a container is locked by virtue of a rigid portion of the container engaging a trigger element extending from the end face of the bolt and causing the release of an outer bolt portion is shown and described herein. The release of the outer bolt of the bolt assembly allows the outer bolt to project outwardly and to lock the container notwithstanding the fact that the bolt has not been reset by the operator of the lock. The bolt is self-contained and can be substituted into many existing lock mechanisms of the mechanical type and into some of the existing electronic dial combination locks, to provide the auto-locking enhancement.

  • Patent number: 5373716
Abstract: An improved multipoint lock assembly is provided for securing a swinging door in a tightly closed condition. The multipoint lock assembly includes a main actuator cartridge for retracting a plurality of latch pins mounted at vertically spaced positions along a free side edge of the swinging door, in response to rotational movement of indoor and outdoor lever handles. A trigger assembly retains the latch pins in a retracted position in response to lever handle rotation to open the door, and includes a trigger pin for engaging the adjacent door jamb upon door closure to release the latch pins for spring-loaded movement to an advanced position. The advanced latch pins engage ramped strike plates on the door jamb to draw in and tightly retain the closed door against the door jamb. When the latch pins are advanced, a security deadbolt on the main actuator cartridge can be thrown to positively lock the door.

  • Patent number: 4695082
Abstract: A reversible mortise lock including a housing having a front plate and side walls, and a latch movable between an extended position in which it projects through the front plate, and a retracted position. Two spindle hubs, for cooperation with the spindles of inner and outer door knobs, are independently pivotable about a fixed axis, the latch moving from its extended to retracted position in response to pivotal movement of either spindle hub. An abutment member is pivotable between two extreme positions; in one extreme position it interferes with pivotal movement of one spindle hub, but not the other, so as to prevent that one hub from causing retracting movement of the latch; in the other extreme position, the abutment member does not interfere with movement of either spindle hub. The abutment member is exposed through an opening in the front plate so that it can be swung between its extreme positions by finger pressure.
