Slidable Only Patents (Class 70/487)
  • Patent number: 7963134
Abstract: A deadbolt lock includes a deadbolt, a user rotatable actuator, and a lock interface. The user rotatable actuator is operatively connected with the deadbolt for movement of the deadbolt between locked and unlocked conditions when the actuator is changed from an inoperable condition to an operable condition. The lock interface is configured to change the actuator from the inoperable condition to the operable condition in response to proper user manipulation of the lock interface.

  • Patent number: 7748244
Abstract: A lock assembly for use with a bolt movable from a retracted position to an extended position. The lock assembly includes an exterior assembly and an interior assembly having an interior actuator manually operable to move the bolt between the retracted position and the extended position. The exterior assembly includes an exterior actuator manually operable to cause the bolt to move from the retracted position to the extended position and inoperable to move the bolt from the extended position to the retracted position.

  • Patent number: 6793254
Abstract: An automatic door latch is disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, the latch includes a dead bolt which is automatically moved from a partially retracted or trigger position to a fully extended locking position when a door in which the lock is mounted is closed. When a key is used to unlock the dead bolt from outside of the door, or a finger turn or key is used to unlock the dead bolt from inside of the door, the dead bolt is automatically reset to the trigger position. In a preferred embodiment, the dead bolt lock includes a multi-position switch mounted in the lock housing which engages a contact member mounted on the dead bolt. Retraction of the dead bolt into the housing causes the multi-position switch to engage the contact member and to secure the dead bolt in the trigger position. Subsequent retraction of the dead bolt into the housing causes the multi-position switch to disengage from the contact member, thereby allowing the dead bolt to extend from the housing to the locked position.

  • Patent number: 6481253
Abstract: A door lock-and-handle assembly includes a housing receiving a latch bolt and a dead bolt, an escutcheon defining a recess and an engaging groove, a handle mounted on the escutcheon and having a driving member, a spindle coupled to the dead bolt and having a rectangular engaging portion, and a locking member received in the recess and operable to move between a locked position, where the locking member engages the driving member and the engaging groove so as to prevent turning of the handle, and an unlocked position, where the locking member disengages from the driving member and the engaging groove. The locking member is formed with an L-shaped opening having first and second rectangular spaces which cooperately define the L-shaped opening. The engaging portion of the spindle is received in the first rectangular space when the locking member is in the unlocked position, and is received in the second rectangular space when the locking member is in the locked position.

  • Patent number: 5820173
Abstract: A lock mechanism is provided which may actuate both a deadbolt and flush bolts in response to a single lock movement. The mechanism includes a dual element bolt throw and flush bolt actuator, which locks in place in the extended position if the end of the bolt is pressed inwardly. The throw includes a transfer mechanism which transposes the horizontal movement of the bolt to vertical movement at the flush bolts. The flush bolts also include a mechanism to limit retraction thereof if the extending ends of the flush bolt is exposed to inward directed force. The entire lock mechanism may be actuated by a standard cylindrical lockset having actuating jaws extending therefrom.
