  • Patent number: 6772944
Abstract: A method and apparatus for vending a containerized fluid includes placing a machine-readable indicia on the container identifying the base fluid. The container may be filled and then distributed or distributed prior to filling through various distribution channels to consumers. When a consumer wishes to fill or re-fill the container, the consumer places the container adjacent a reader that interprets the indicia to identify the base fluid to be dispensed. A dispenser then fills the container through a movable fill probe that elevates as the liquid within the container rises. In some embodiments, and prior to filling, the dispenser apparatus may also query the consumer about options are provided at the time of dispensing for further dispensing various optional ingredients, including scents, flavors, colors, nutritional supplements or other additives together with the base product.

Abstract: A hazardous materials shipping system for tracking a plurality of packages containing hazardous materials. The shipping system includes a shipment order system configured to record shipping and hazardous materials information, and to issue a tracking number for the package. A package tracking system tracks a path of the package through various delivery vehicles and other facilities. Information on the hazardous materials can be correlated with the delivery path of the package by a hazardous materials database system using the tracking number. Optionally, the hazardous materials database system can make the delivery path and hazardous materials information available to an emergency response team to facilitate containment and cleanup of hazardous materials along the path. As another advantage, the hazardous materials database system can compare the paths of various packages to determine if cross-contamination has occurred.

Abstract: At a time Tp when a wafer W is transferred into either a load lock chamber LL1 or LL2, periods PSL for the load lock chambers LL1 and LL2 to get ready to permit a transfer of a next wafer W thereinto are calculated based on a timing for exchange of wafers W between the load lock chamber LL1 or LL2 and a loader module LM. When the periods PSL are calculated, a loader arm LA1 or LA2 selects a next wafer W having the shortest period to get ready to be transferable into the load lock chamber LL1 or LL2, from load ports LP1 to LP3. • Patent number: 6728596
Abstract: The system and method herein provide a prealigner that has reduced sensitivity to distorting ambient light influences in the environment of a prealigner integrated in a metrology apparatus. A modulated signal is produced by a photo detector in response to modulated light that is partially shielded by wafer positioned in a gap between light source and detector. The pulsed signal is bandpass filtered and demodulated whereby only the difference between high- and low-levels of the pulsed signal are recognized. Flickering and DC components related to ambient light and other distorting operational influences are removed from the analysis unrecognized. Demodulation is synchronously accomplished together with a switching of the light source's power supply. For stable voltage levels of the power supply, a current source is buffered during off-intervals for a constant load on the current source.

Next, a partial histogram (400), which is part of the component histogram (406a), is taken from the component histogram (406a), and is arranged at two-dimensional coordinates where a horizontal axis (the Z-axis) represents an arrangement of component cassettes and a vertical axis represents a number of pickup operations by the line gang pickup head. Abstract: A method for preparing a manufacturing plan for a manufacturing factory having multiple equipments and charged with multiple processes. The equipment is assigned to the processes to determine an operation pattern for a day. A load of each process is allotted among the equipment assigned to the process. Total load of each equipment is calculated by summing the allotted load. A capability index of each equipment is determined by dividing capacity of the equipment by the total load of the equipment. The capability index is multiplied by the allotted load to provide a feasible load of the equipment for the process. By summing the feasible load of each equipment, a total feasible load under the operation pattern is calculated for each process. By comparing the total feasible load with the load for each process, the operation pattern is determined whether acceptable or not.

In response, the processor arrangement audits shipment transactions, issues reports on the audits, assists in resolving discrepancies and effect payments.

Abstract: The present invention provides a large-scale carrying system that allows the operation of only a part of the system which has been completely constructed, while concurrently allowing the construction of a part of the system which has not been constructed yet. A carrying system comprises a carrying vehicle system 3 which carries an article to a predetermined location using a carrying vehicle, an article housing system 4 in which the article is temporarily housed for storage, an integrating controller 5 which integrally controls a system set 2 comprising at least one carrying vehicle system 3 and at least one article housing system 4, and an auxiliary controller 14 which can integrally manage at least part of the system set. The integrating controller 5 and the auxiliary controller 14 are connected together through a network. It is thus possible to transfer data on the part of the system set 2 which is integrally managed by the auxiliary controller 14, to the integrating controller 5.

Abstract: Method for manufacturing a wiring harness or a substrate for wiring wherein the wiring diagram applied to the substrate is based on the wiring harness information. Entities representing connectors, binding parts, and wiring length information of wirings are input. The wiring arrangement diagram includes lines that correspond to the wirings and do not have a length corresponding to actual length of the wirings. The wiring harness is made using the information including total length of wiring between each of the connectors, harness information generated based on the entities, and the length information of the desired wiring arrangement. Alternatively, the wiring harness information is used to draw a wiring diagram for fixing on the substrate.

Abstract: A system and method for reducing time delays while loading and unloading a cargo ship includes scanning and using an identifier to determine content and destination information for a cargo container, using a trolley crane and spreader to move the container between a ship and an elevator, and loading and unloading containers between a horizontal conveyor and a trailer with an orthogonal coordinates crane. The container is moved up and down on the elevator between the trolley crane and spreader and the horizontal conveyor. The horizontal conveyor moves the container between the elevator and an orthogonal coordinates crane and spreader. The two cranes move the container more efficiently and rapidly, and the system permits some loading and unloading to occur in the absence of the cargo ship or trailer. The elevator and conveyor move the containers more quickly than a trolley crane alone, and can be automated.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring and sorting parcels, including the concept of determining at least one component of the gravity center of said parcels. Determination of the gravity center component includes the use of a tilting action in combination with the use of sensors to sense the movement of the parcels as they tilt. Another concept includes the use of sensors to determine whether a parcel is sufficiently rigid to provide a tilting action, or whether the parcel is flexible and thus does not provide a tilting action so much as it provides a flexing action over the pivot point.

An image of one of workpieces as objects of taking out at a reference position is captured by a video camera. Whole feature information and partial feature information are extracted from the captured image by a model creating section and a partial model creating section, respectively, and stored in a memory with information on partial feature detecting regions. An image of randomly stacked workpieces is captured and analyzed to determine positions/orientations of images of the respective workpieces using the whole feature information. Abstract: The invention provides a table angle controlling method capable of effectively preventing an article placed on a table (20), for example, from falling off by tilting the table so that the synthetic vector of horizontal acceleration and gravitational acceleration which act on the table acts on the table perpendicular thereto. The method has the steps of measuring the synthetic vector of horizontal acceleration and gravitational acting on the table (20) or a carriage (11) with the movement of the carriage (11), and tilting the table so that the synthetic vector obtained acts on the table perpendicular thereto. Alternatively the method has the steps of estimating acceleration acting on the table from a speed command value input to drive means for the carriage (11) for moving the carriage, calculating the synthetic vector of the estimated horizontal acceleration and gravitational acceleration, and tilting the table so that the synthetic vector obtained acts on the table perpendicular thereto.
