Having Audio Or Visual Route Guidance Patents (Class 701/428)
  • Patent number: 12292297
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing recommendations of safe driving routes that are tailored to the driving habits of particular drivers. A machine learning model (e.g., an artificial neural network) may be trained using data indicative of insurance claim severity, road conditions, and/or vehicle telematics data associated with vehicle-related incidents, such as vehicle collisions. The machine learning model may be trained to identify road types and conditions that are predictive of claim frequency and severity. Any given driving route(s) may be provided to the trained machine learning model, and a risk value may be computed for the route(s). By further applying a personalized driver profile to the calculations of risk, personalized risk values may be computed for the route(s), and a safest route may be recommended to a driver.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide several novel methods for generating a navigation presentation that displays a device navigating a route on a map. The method of some embodiments uses a virtual camera that, based on detected changes in the navigation context, dynamically modifies the way it captures portions of the map to produce different navigation scenes in the navigation presentation. To generate the navigation scenes, the method of some embodiments (1) identifies different sets of attributes that describe the different navigation contexts at different times during the navigation presentation, and (2) uses these different sets of attributes to identify different styles for operating the virtual camera. In some embodiments, the method uses an identified style to specify the virtual camera's positional attributes, which, in turn, define the portions of the map that the virtual camera identifies for rendering to produce several navigation scenes for a period of time (e.g.

Abstract: A system for enhancing emergency response capabilities by providing interactive routing for emergencies based on location data within facilities or venues. The system includes interactive maps stored in memory, each featuring floorplans and user interfaces for data input. Potential access and/or escape routes to and/or from the emergency are outlined within the maps. A server, connected to the memory storage, receives location data requests from emergency call routing services. It identifies the caller's location within a facility or venue, accesses the corresponding interactive map, and determines the most efficient access and/or escape route based on the caller's geospatial data and their proximity to the emergency. Abstract: Aspects of the present invention relate to a control system, a system and a method for providing assistance to an occupant of a vehicle. Specifically, the present invention relates to determining a composite image sequence comprising a sequence of image frames, each comprising a captured image of an environment external to the vehicle and a trajectory indicator indicative of the determined vehicle trajectory through that environment. The trajectory indicator is positioned within the composite image sequence in dependence on movement by the vehicle between the time at which images associated with the corresponding image frames are captured such that the trajectory indicator appears substantially stationary in a direction of travel of the vehicle with respect to one or more image objects within the composite image sequence.

Abstract: An administered authentication system can authenticate an artificial reality device using an authorization record between a user account and an artificial reality device. In some implementations, the authorization record is created in response to activation of a user account-specific key sent to a user-supplied contact, where an artificial reality device identifier was provided with the user-supplied contact. In other implementations, the authorization record is created in response to activation of a user account-specific key provided to the artificial reality device as a code, where activation of the key includes adding an artificial reality device identifier to a key activation message. In yet other implementations, the authorization record is created in response to an application associated with a user account activating an artificial reality device-specific key, with an artificial reality device identifier, that is provided via the artificial reality device.

Abstract: An interactive digital logistics system is disclosed that receives real-time, on-demand data with immediate and same-day availability information from businesses, then displays the information for consumers to view, select, connect, and reserve the available services or products within a specified radius of their current geographical location. Businesses can accept or decline each consumer request and the interactive digital logistics system tracks the consumer's progress to the business's location. The interactive digital logistics system also tracks the progress of each request until completion and prompts both the consumer and business to rate their experience with the other party. The interactive digital logistics system then calculates an average rating for each party which is displayed in their respective profiles.

  • Patent number: 11846517
Abstract: A method and system for generating geographic routes using topographic data that has been transformed into vector tiles to enable large spatial networks to be reduced from large scale to small scale, wherein the networks are reduced based on the lowest cost path(s) across each vector tile (for example, shortest, fastest and/or safest route across the represented geographic area) whilst ensuring connectivity between adjacent vector tiles is maintained. Complex and vast networks can be simplified to the cost of moving across a single vector tile from edge to edge, with each zoom level comprising a plurality of vector tiles with varying levels of detail concerning the paths across each vector tile. Routes between two locations, particularly those covering large distances, can then be quickly and efficiently determined using the processed vector tiles.
