Abstract: Even if there are many printed images similar to a query image, this invention can effectively use a display window with a limited size and support to specify the print request source of each similar image by classifying and displaying the images according to additional information containing information indicating the print request source which has issued a print request for the image. Therefore, when a query image is input and images similar to the query image are found, the similar images are classified according to the user names of users who have printed them. The numbers of times of printing of the similar images and maximum similarities are displayed for the respective user names.

Abstract: One or more requests from a client for data representation items can be received by an items manager. The data representation items can represent data items in a data source. In response, the items manager can perform the following: generating placeholders corresponding to the data representation items; returning the placeholders to the client; fetching the data items from the data source; providing the data representation items to the client; and informing the client that the placeholders are to be replaced with the data representation items. The items manager may determine whether each data representation item can be synchronously returned to the client. If so, the items manager may return that data representation item synchronously, and may forego providing the client with a placeholder for that data representation item. This may allow a client to interact with a single interface for both synchronous and asynchronous data sources.

According to various implementations, a request for a search query results in a calculated number of search results being retrieved and analyzed for user access rights. As documents having user access rights are located, session state information corresponding to the number of located documents having user access rights and to the number of analyzed documents required to locate the number of documents having user access rights is maintained. This information is used to dynamically alter the number of subsequent documents that are retrieved in order to fill a page of results. Abstract: Embodiments include a method comprising transmitting from a node of a plurality of nodes within a clustered file system provides concurrent file I/O access for files, to write access a region of a file. The method includes receiving an authorization to write access the region without a lock to preclude access of the region by other nodes, if at least one physical section in a machine-readable medium has been allocated for storage of the region by the server. The method includes receiving the authorization to write access the region with the lock to preclude access of the region by the other nodes, if the at least one physical section in the machine-readable medium has not been allocated for storage of the region by the server. Responsive to receiving the authorization to write access, metadata is transmitted for storage into the at least one physical section in the machine-readable medium.

Abstract: A search middleware may be used to receive search requests regarding a software incident associated with a software application. The search requests may be populated with attribute values determined based on context data associated with the software application and collected in association with the software incident. The search requests may be dispatched to a subset of a plurality of solution repositories, even if the solution repositories have different interfaces and/or search technologies. The resulting solution documents retrieved from the solution repositories may be compiled for presentation on a solution search interface.

Abstract: A document management system according to the present invention manages a plurality of documents in which attribute names and attribute values corresponding to the attribute names are set as attributes. The document management system displays the attribute names and the attribute values set for a document selected from the plurality of documents, and selects at least one attribute value from the displayed attribute values. When an instruction to display a search screen is issued, the search screen is displayed, and a search conditional expression of an attribute search is set in the search screen, wherein if the instruction to display the search screen is issued in a state where the at least one attribute value is selected, the search screen is displayed in which the selected at least one attribute value is set for the search conditional expression.

A disclosed method may include receiving an electronic document containing hierarchical data, memory layout information, and memory address information, wherein the memory address information comprises a base address. The data may be restructuring to conform with the memory layout of the computer memory when it is determined, based on the memory layout information, that a memory layout of the hierarchical data does not match the memory layout of the computer memory. Memory address information may be translated when it is determined that the base address is not available in the computer memory. The restructured hierarchical data may be loaded into the computer memory based on the translated memory address information.

Abstract: A computer-based system includes a computer-processable definition of a region in a data set. The system identifies a region of the data set based on the definition of the region. The system provides output to a user representing a question and the identified region of the data set. The system may also automatically generate an answer to the question based on the question and the data set, and provide output to the user representing the answer. The system may generate the answer based on a subset of the data set, and provide output to the user representing the subset of the data set. The user may provide feedback on the first answer to the system, which the system may use to improve subsequent answers to the same and other questions, and to disable the system's automatic question-answering function in response to disagreement between the user and the system.
