Abstract: A computer readable storage medium includes executable instructions to receive hierarchical data. A schema for the hierarchical data is also received. An entity relationship model for the hierarchical data is generated. A semantic abstraction associated with the entity relationship model is defined. An abstract term representing an underlying data element within the hierarchical data represented by the semantic abstraction is also defined.

Abstract: A computer implemented method, apparatus, and computer program product for processing markup language security messages. A template corresponding to a markup language security message is identified. The markup language security message is parsed for variable values using the template. A transition sequence is generated that represents the entire markup language security message. Each transition in the transition sequence is associated with a portion of the markup language security message. A lightweight data model of the markup language security message is populated using the transition sequence. The lightweight data model includes nodes for the variable values and a set of selected constant values.

  • Publication number: 20080208879
Abstract: A method, an apparatus and a computer program product for converting an XML encoded dataset into a minimal set of SQL tables and provided. In the method, a hierarchical structure in the XML encoded dataset is identified. A node element set for the XML encoded dataset is determined, wherein each node element in the node element set is a discrete level of the hierarchical structure of the dataset. One or more nodes of the XML encoded dataset are determined, each node being an instance of a node element. A unique node identifier is allocated to each node. Then, an SQL node table containing one or more records is generated, each record corresponding to a respective one of the allocated node identifiers. An SQL ancestry table is optionally generated to define the inter-relationships among nodes of the identified hierarchical structure of the XML encoded dataset.

Abstract: To eliminate inconvenience of creating dynamic web pages on line, the present invention provides a website generator capable of creating a dynamic website at an off-line status. The website generator disconnects with a web server, which is used for publishing the dynamic website on Internet, during the off-line status. The website generator includes a database and a webpage generator. The database is used for classifying a data source according to predetermined serial numbers and categories. The webpage generator includes a plurality of templates, and is used for importing the database and generating web pages of the dynamic website according to the database and the plurality of templates.

  • Publication number: 20080126317
Abstract: A method and system for converting source data files into executable statements in a database query language such as SQL. The source data files include files created in an extensible language format such as XML that is lexically and/or structurally dissimilar to the database query language into which the source data file is to be converted. A library of transformations is maintained in the form of style sheets for performing formatting transformations on the source data files. Typically the library comprises one or more Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) stylesheets. The one or more stylesheets are applied to the source data file by a transformation engine such as an Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation (XSLT) engine. The application of the one or more stylesheets from the library of transformations results in one or more executable statements in the desired database query language, which can then be sent to and executed by a Database Management System (DBMS).

Abstract: A document rendering system includes a standard schema and a graphical user interface configured to receive graphically represented presentation constraints. A translation engine is configured to translate the graphically represented presentation constraints into a presentation schema conforming with a syntax of the standard schema. A validation engine is configured to validate a document respective to the standard schema and respective to the presentation schema. A rendering engine is configured to render a document conditional upon validation by the validation engine.

  • Publication number: 20080114799
Abstract: A system and method for communicating extensible markup language (XML) documents in a service oriented architecture (SOA) are provided. XML requests are made in the form of XML documents containing programmatic requests. An XML schema defines programmatic behavior and provides instructions on how to process an XML document having a programmatic request. An application component receives an XML document with at least one programmatic request to perform a service. A generic XML request is sent to a broker that accesses a registry storing namespace information. The broker converts the generic XML request to a specific XML service request based on instruction information received from the registry. The specific XML service request (in the form of an XML document having at least one programmatic request) is translated and sent to a services component to service the request.

Abstract: An XML payload is generated from an XML list irrespective of a schema associated with the XML list. The parent/child relationship paths are collected from the field entries in the XML list. An XML payload node tree is created reflective of the parent/child relationship of data in the paths of the XML list. The XML payload can then be generated from the XML payload node tree and exported as needed to target software applications or web pages.

Abstract: A schema for storing health related data within a health integration network is provided to facilitate housing the data in a common and easy transformable and accessible manner. Utilizing this schema, disparate otherwise proprietary applications can store data formatted according to their own schema within the health integration network providing common accessibility to other applications. The other applications can request the commonly stored data from the health integration network to facilitate data transmission between the disparate applications.

Abstract: A method is provided to efficiently evaluate an expression to determine the partition key for an XML document stored in a database without the entire XML document first being stored in temporary memory storage. The partition key is determined using streaming evaluation or incrementally using a DOM node tree as a portion of the document is read and stored in the buffer. The XML document is stored in the partition using the read portion of the document stored in the buffer and the remaining portion from the original source.

Abstract: A declarative mechanism is used to manage large documents within a repository. The large documents are sectioned into subdocuments that are linked together by a parent document. The combination of the parent document and subdocument is referred to as a compound document. There are multiple options for configuring rules to break up a source document into a compound document and naming the subdocuments. The compound documents may be queried using statements that treat the compound document as a single XML document, or the parent document of a subdocument may be queried and treated independently. Access control and versioning can be applied at the finer granularity of the subdocument.

  • Publication number: 20080059514
Abstract: A schema identifies a field in a document as a key field. Using an XML schema, the key field can be identified by attaching a property to the element or attribute to be used as a key field (if the XML schema standard is modified to support properties). Otherwise, attributes can be used to identify the element or attribute that is to be a key field. Fields can be primary keys, secondary keys, or foreign keys, as supported by data stores. The data store can analyze the schema to determine which fields are key fields. The key fields can be duplicated in the native format of the data store for use in indexing, searching, and other data store functions on the documents. The documents themselves can be stored as objects, into which the data store cannot reach, or can be stored in the native format of the data store, as desired.

  • Patent number: 7340459
Abstract: According to the present invention, apparatus and methods are provided to enable a user to locate and retrieve sets of information relevant to search criteria specified in a search query submitted by the user. Search results include not only a list of information sets matching with the search criteria, but also the preserved structure of any tags used in annotating the information set according to a structured mark-up language such as XML. A user may select a tag from a presented list of the returned tag structures, and the apparatus lists those documents containing the selected tags. The list of tags is then adjusted to include the selected tag and any other of the returned tags contained in the listed documents. Further tag selection from the adjusted list leads to a further refinement of the listed documents, enabling the user to navigate the search results on the basis of tag information.

Abstract: A technique is provided, which supports a user in creating a new vocabulary. A search request reception unit 3410 receives a search request from a user to perform search processing with respect to a definition file. A search unit 3412 searches a VCD database 3430 based upon a keyword received from or created by the search request reception unit 3410. The data sets registered with the VCD database 3430 include keywords, descriptions, element names, attribute names, command names, and so forth, each of which indicates the function or the purpose of the definition file. The search unit 3412 scores the search results by vector search. A reply unit 3414 displays the candidates, which exhibit higher scores, to the user. Such an arrangement allows the user to select a desired definition file that matches the user's desired functions and the user's own purpose with reference to the search results displayed by the reply unit 3414.
