Abstract: Methods of electronic scheduling for playback of media contents. Discrete items of content are scheduled for play back based upon a schedule created by the integration of five standard scheduling methods into a single scheduling algorithm. In the first scheduling method, a discrete item of content is assigned a frequency rating relative to other items of content. A second way to schedule is repeating a content item at specific intervals of time. A third scheduling method allows the content to be played at a specific date and time. The fourth scheduling method includes playing a content item upon receipt of a trigger event which is received from a source external to the scheduling system. And lastly, means are provided for selectively determining whether or not particular content is available for play in a particular venue or during a particular period of time.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a computing system capable of providing feedback to a controller in a software-defined network. The computing system includes a policy management module and a communication module coupled to the policy management module. During operation, the policy management module recognizes a local policy indicating how a data flow is to be processed and identifies a data flow associated with the policy. The communication module constructs a request for a flow definition from a controller in a software-defined network. A flow definition indicates how the data flow is processed in the software-defined network.

  • Patent number: 8583740
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods and the like for the management of filtered messages and filtering settings. Embodiments use the interaction of a user and a notification message to execute commands/requests. In one aspect, a notification message is used to notify a computer user of filtered incoming electronic messages that are stored in a quarantine server and database. In one embodiment, the notification message comprises message data having information regarding incoming messages blocked from reaching the destination server and stored in the quarantine server and database. Also in this embodiment, the message includes user interface data selectable by the user to manage the handling of incoming messages. In addition, the message includes action logic associated with the user interface data and configured to execute the selections made by the user by sending commands from the user's computer to the quarantine server and database via a computer network.

  • Patent number: 8578393
Abstract: A log message collection system selects a configured host and fetches a log message. The log message collection system examines the fetched message to identify one or more DLLs necessary to translating the log message and determines whether the necessary DLL(s) have been loaded into a cache. If so, the log message is translated. If the DLLs are not in the cache, the log message collection system fetches from the log message host only the DLLs necessary to translate that fetched message. After the message is translated, the log message collection system fetches the next log message, identifies the necessary DLLs for that log message, and fetches the DLLs necessary to translate that message.

Abstract: A method and system for leaking routes between routing engines in a communication network. The method and system includes a route distribution service that receives and stores routing information from one or more exporting routers. The stored routing information includes the identity of one or more shared routes and may also include related route exportation criteria such as restrictions on which importing routers may receive shared routes. The route distribution service receives from one or more importing routers a request for one or more shared routes and provides one or more shared routes to the importing router. Importing routers can register with the service in order to receive shared routes or be notified when shared routes become available.

Abstract: A method may include receiving, via a first network, a message identifying an event, where the event is associated with an entity, and the event is destined for at least one user. The method may include determining, by a processor of a computing device, a type of the event, and accessing, by the processor, a user profile associated with a first user of the at least one user, where the user profile associates the first user with the entity. The method may include determining, by the processor, a communication channel for delivering information associated with the event to the first user, where the user profile includes an association between the communication channel and the type of the event. The method may include forwarding, via a second network, to the first user, the information associated with the event, where the information associated with the event is forwarded via the communication channel.

A content responder receives a first request from a content requester via a network. Then, the content responder generates a first content based on the first request. Then the content responder receives a second request from the content requester via the network. Then, the content responder generates a second content based on the second request. Next, the content responder compares the second content with the first content. After that, the content responder transmits a second response with regard to the second request to the content requester via the network. The second response is generated based on the result of comparison.
