Abstract: Intended is to achieve, in a wide range of an SN ratio, throughput on the same order of that attained by a method based on puncturing and improve computational complexity of decoding processing at a high coding rate. In a communication system for transmitting an error correcting code for an error on a communication path from a transmitter to a receiver, the transmitter divides information bits of a code word to be transmitted into a plurality of blocks based on a request for retransmission of an error correcting code from the receiver, generates an error correcting code by compact-coding of one block among the plurality of blocks and transmits the generated error correcting code.

After the signal has been de-scrambled, it can be stored in a memory in case it needs to be recombined with another packet. This means that the log-likelihood ratios LLRs for each transmitted bit are stored in memory using a finite number of bits (for example, between 4 and 12 bits). If the packet that is currently being processed contains retransmitted information, then the de-scrambled output stored from a previous packet containing the same information can be loaded and combined with the current packet.

Abstract: Regular data packets are scheduled for transmission from a sender to multiple receivers in a multicast ARQ system. In a joint scheduling and encoding procedure, a composite data packet is formed as a weighted linear combination of regular data packets. The corresponding coding weights are adapted based on feedback information from the receivers about received data packets such the composite packet represents a new linearly independent coding of regular data packets different from any multicast data packet previously received each receiver in a selected set of the receivers during the multicast session. In addition, using a weight vector with at least two different non-zero coding weights adds a further degree of freedom and guarantees the ability to always form a composite data packet that represents a new linearly independent coding for transmission.

The ARQ method constructs a first data block set including a plurality of data blocks using data received from an upper layer, and transmits the data blocks contained in the first data block set to a reception end. If a predetermined time elapses without receiving any acknowledgement (ACK) signal after transmitting a last data block among the plurality of data blocks, the ARQ method transmits at least one data block reconstructed by the data received from the upper layer to the reception end until receiving the acknowledgment (ACK) signal from the reception end.

Abstract: A method for operating synchronous HARQ between a transmitting station and a receiving station in a TDD communication system, includes configuring a plurality of HARQ processes at the transmitting station, and transmitting a data burst in a first subframe to the receiving station via one of the plurality of HARQ processes and using a frame structure including a plurality of regions of subframes. The method also includes receiving a second subframe transmitted from the receiving station and containing a HARQ feedback indicative of whether the data burst was correctly received at the receiving station. Further, the method includes determining whether the HARQ feedback is an acknowledgement (ACK) or a negative acknowledgement (NACK), and retransmitting, via the one of the plurality of HARQ processes, the data burst in a third subframe to the receiving station if it is determined that the HARQ feedback is a NACK.

Abstract: A retransmission method based on Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) and devices thereof are provided in embodiment of this present invention, so as to increase the system throughput. In the present invention, when retransmission is needed, the partial bits in the information sequence to be retransmitted are replaced by the prior information that the transmitter and the receiver both have know, with the replaced information sequence is LDPC coded, LDPC check sequence is obtained and is sent to the receiver. After receiving the LDPC check sequence, the receiver decodes the information sequence including the prior information with the LDPC check sequence. If the decoding is successful, after removing the prior information from the decoded information sequence, the receiver refills the decoded bits in a previous received information sequence, and performs decoding again with an LDPC check sequence corresponding to the previous received information sequence and obtains a complete information sequence.
