Abstract: A computer apparatus and method are provided for visually mapping fields of various electronic forms to a common object model. The forms may then be dynamically completed via a runtime engine that retrieves mapping data from a relational database and uses the mapping data to automatically populate corresponding fields of the forms without manual input by the user. Specifically, a visual mapping tool displays the objects of the common object model as well as the fields of a form to be mapped. A user drags and drops one or more of the displayed objects into a mapping area, and drags and drops a field to which the one or more objects are to be mapped. The user also identifies a type of association between the selected objects and the field. A mapping entry is then generated in a map file to map the selected objects to the field.

Abstract: Provides a number of methods of mapping form fields on a computer-readable image file, as well as a method for automatically redacting some portions of the image file. One method includes the steps of: performing optical character recognition (OCR) on the image file to produce digitized text. The digitized text is compared with a plurality of keywords to identify at least one known form field on the image file. Each keyword is associated with one of the form fields. Then the location on the image file of any known form fields is compared with the locations of those same form fields within any provided template. Each template has at least one form field in a unique location from the other provided templates, and thereby it is possible to identify the template that matches the image file.

Abstract: A yearbook system is provided. The yearbook system provides a single, extensive resource to plan, create, educate about, sell, and distribute yearbooks. The system further provides an integrated yearbook system management and yearbook production system to enable the production of the yearbook to a printed output. A yearbook server hosts a client site and a client database. The client site is enables the school to plan, create, sell and distribute a yearbook. Further, they system may be used to create the yearbook online. A production server hosts a production database synchronizes with the yearbook server, providing images to the client for use in creating the yearbook, and accepting completed created pages submitted by the school from the yearbook server. The production server translates the created pages into the format to proceed through the regular preparation for production of the yearbook.

Abstract: A displayed document comprises an annotation widget, the widget associated with an annotation document and a corresponding annotation key in an annotation store. The annotation document associated with a workflow action program. A user with a predetermined privilege selects a widget and is presented with the annotation document. The user performs an annotation task modifying the annotation document and submits the annotation document to the annotation store, the submission triggering the workflow action program to progress the workflow to another step.

Abstract: A system for automatically completing fields in online forms, such as login forms and new user registration forms, which employs a Master Cookie File containing sets of records associated with the user, his or her accounts or web sites, and registered values associated with form tags (e.g. username, password, address, email, telephone, etc.). When the user encounters another form, the MCF is automatically searched for matching values and form tags, primarily from the same account or web site, or alternatively from other accounts or sites. A flowing pop-up menu is displayed nearby the form fields from which the user can select values to automatically complete the form. Automatic account information updating, value expiration management, mapping of favorite values, and sharing of values are optional, enhanced functions of the invention.

Abstract: An electronic writing solution server includes a stroke autocompletion application that comprises an autocompletion processor. The autocompletion processor loads a blank form for a user, the form being associated with a list of auto completion target, retrieves a set of regions and a first form identifier (ID) included in the list of auto completion targets, receives information about the user, identifies a set of potential completion lists from a plurality of potential completion lists stored in a database based on the set of regions, the first form ID and the information about the user, retrieves at least one stroke from the set of potential completion lists for a region in the set of regions, ranks the at least one stroke and provides the at least one stroke to the user.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable media for displaying a clipboard. A method can include receiving at a client device, two or more copied pieces of content copied from one or more resources, receiving an indication to display the two or more copied pieces of content, determining a form field associated with the indication, ranking the two or more copied pieces of content based on the form field, and displaying at the client device, a clipboard with the two or more copied pieces of content ranked.

Abstract: A method and system for generating and using inspection data is disclosed. Prior to an inspection, inspection data is generated which includes location and component attributes, observation codes, and relationships between the location and component attributes and observation codes. During an inspection, an inspector accesses the inspection data to generate a data entry form which reflects the attributes, observation codes, and the relationships chosen during the inspection data generation. The inspector uses the data entry form to generate an inspection record having a structure based on the predefined inspection data.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed technology provide a system and method for automatically filling paper form with electronic data. The system receives from a user a scanned image of a paper form that includes a plurality of fields. The system then retrieves a schema map that maps the plurality of fields in the paper form to a plurality of fields in an electronic data record associated with the user. Next, the system retrieves data values of the fields in the electronic data record based on the schema map. The system also synthesizes the retrieved data values and the scanned image to create an image of the paper form in which the fields are filled with the retrieved data values.

Abstract: A system and method for creating a table from one or more form images is described. An Image Based Document Management (IBDM) server includes a stroke identification module, an image generator, a table generator and a preference module. The stroke identification module receives completed form data from one or more forms with handwriting fields, media fields and symbolic fields. The image generator generates field images that are a combination of handwriting fields, media fields and symbolic fields. The user preference module determines a user preference for displaying the table. The table generator generates a table from the field images based on the user preference.

Abstract: A system and machine-implemented method for populating an electronic form is provided. A command for pasting a string of unstructured data into one of several fields of a structured address form is detected. The string of unstructured data is geocoded to obtain a geolocation. The geolocation is reverse-geocoded to obtain structured address data. Each of the several fields of the structured address form is populated with a corresponding field from the structured address data.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for sending completions to a client for aiding a user in completing electronic forms. The invention may identify a plurality of completions corresponding to a user; form a plurality of selected completions from the plurality of completions based, at least in part, on a use pattern of the user; and transmit the plurality of selected completions to a client associated with the user.

Abstract: Various embodiments include a method and system for application above-the-fold rendering measurements. A start time corresponding to a rendering operation of an application may be recorded. A series of bitmaps of a portion of a rendering canvas representing above-the-fold data for the application may be captured. The first of the series of bitmaps may be captured at the start time and successive captured bitmaps each captured after a specified time interval from a previously captured bitmap. Each bitmap in the series of bitmaps may then be processed to create a corresponding measurement image, and the measurement images may be compared to determine an end time.

Abstract: In a method for utilizing metadata for autofill fields, a computer causes a first form input field to be displayed, the first form input field having two or more form input field entries associated with the first form input field. The computer determines that the two or more form input field entries are similar. The computer determines data describing each form input field entry of the two or more form input field entries.

Abstract: A guided natural language interface, a method for guiding a user in specifying a color problem with a document image, and a set of templates for use in the interface and method are provided. The interface includes computer readable memory which stores a set of issue description templates, each template being configured for guiding a user in formulating a problem statement characterizing, in natural language, a problem related to color identified in an input document. A natural rendering engine receives information input by a user and/or information input from an associated problem detector, and instantiates one of the templates in response thereto. The natural language rendering engine is configured for presenting the problem statement to the user as it is refined and communicating information based on the refined problem statement to an associated problem corrector.

Abstract: In general, the invention relates to a method for capturing information from a web site. The method includes accessing the web site using a browser with a browser module, where the web site comprises a number of web pages having information in a first format, and obtaining a profile corresponding to the web site, where the profile defines a manner to capture information in a first format from the web site. The method further includes capturing information, by the browser module, from at least one of the number of web pages based on the profile and sending the information captured by the browser module to a destination application, where the destination application is external to the browser and where the destination application is configured to use the information in a second format.

Abstract: An identity based automated form filling method includes maintaining an association of a user, a form, and a plurality of values recorded over time for a plurality of fields of the form. Following a request for the form by the user, the form is caused to be dynamically populated according to the association.

Abstract: Technologies are presented for a multi-step progressive auto-fill function that allows a series of gestures or touches to activate and guide an auto-fill function suitable for information entry. A first gesture may call forth a group of contextual domains for information. A subsequent gesture or motion may cause the selection of a contextual domain, and another action may allow the selection of particular content for placement at a location indicated by the first gesture.

Abstract: A user registers with a server system and provides user data (e.g., personal information). The server system divides the user data into multiple components. Each device in a set of devices receives a component of the user data for storage. When the user accesses a web page through a host device that includes one or more data fields into which user data can be entered, the host device receives the components of the user data from the devices in the set. The host device reassembles the user data based on the received components. When an authorization gesture is performed by the user with a storage device from the set of devices, the host device inserts the user data in the data field.

Abstract: An electronic inspection report system includes a central report generator and a data collection device. The central report generator is adapted to produce multiple types of inspection report template. The central report generator is adapted to select a type of inspection report template to provide to a data collection device based upon various criteria. The central report generator is adapted to receive electronic information from various databases and format the information such that the information can be used in inspection reports. While inspecting an item, an inspector uses a data collection device to access an inspection report template and fill in fields of the inspection report template. The data collection device can be configured to check the consistency of information carried in fields of the inspection report and signal the inspector when some of the information is inconsistent. The central report generator can include a repository of completed inspection reports.

Abstract: A system and method for paper-based, automated completion of forms allows a user charged with filling out multiple forms containing some common information to write each unique piece of information one time, and the system generates a set of completed forms with the required information on each form with no change to the use or structure of the current forms. The control module is operable on a processor to determine a mapping between common fields on multiple forms or multiple pages of the same form, copy information written in a field on one form to equivalent fields on other forms, and produce a set of completed forms. The system is computationally simple and independent of language because these operations can be performed without having to understand, translate or convert the writing. Furthermore, there is no loss of security or privacy beyond the use of paper forms because these operations can be performed without access to a centralized database and without connectivity to other systems.

Abstract: A word processing system includes an undo function monitor that monitors the history of a user's use of the undo operation. Depending upon the pattern detected, the system disables the particular auto-formatting feature that triggered the undesired automatic operation. In an illustrative embodiment, the system tracks whether a number of undo operations exceeds a programmable threshold. In one illustrative implementation, the system also tracks the number of times a user has undone, i.e., reversed, an automatic formatting operation compared with the number of instances where the user has permitted the subject automatic formatting operation to take place.

Abstract: An aspect of the present invention facilitates users to view temporal values for multiple fields. In one embodiment, a first value and a second value are displayed respectively for a first field and a second field, with the first value and second value representing temporal values at a first time instance for the two fields respectively. Upon receiving data representing a second time instance, the display is updated by displaying a third value and a fourth value for the first field and the second field respectively, with the third value and the fourth value representing corresponding temporal values at the second time instance for the two fields.

Abstract: A computer based system and method to automatically pre-populate many different types of editable electronic forms from many different organizations with previously entered user data. This previously entered user data is generally obtained by parsing data from previously submitted forms, and cumulatively storing this data in a database designed to allow data sharing between different organizations and forms. Thus the method grows in competence with increasing use. At least some of the users will be primary users (e.g. parents) who are in a position of trust with respect to secondary users (i.e. their children or other charges). In a preferred embodiment, the invention's identification numbers (assigned to various users) will also be used to identify the trust relationship between primary users and their corresponding secondary users.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for populating user information onto an electronic form such as a word processing document, template, application-specific form or web page. Fields are identified on the electronic form and matched with fields stored in a continuously-updated user profile before the content of the matching fields are populated onto the electronic form. The electronic form may be stored within a central forms library and selected by the user for completion, while a third-party form presented as a word processing document, template, application-specific form or web page may be populated using an application extension which communicates with an application, browser or third-party service to identify and populate the form fields. Additionally, a mobile application provides for physical forms to be captured by a camera on a smartphone or tablet, after which the fields are identified and populated onto the captured image of the form.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for creating templates in an information management tool that are designed to track and timely and accurately report certain information in accordance with the requirements of a specific process, form or other requirement. Information relating to a user is obtained from one or more sources through electronic means, and the information is then organized and securely stored in a database using field mapping and other techniques to classify the information into specific categories. The information that is obtained and organized may include contact information, financial information, health information and historical information. The organized information may then be accessed by the user to automatically and instantaneously populate or supplement an electronic document, form or web-based application without requiring the user to manually enter the information.

Abstract: An approach is provided for auto-completion functions. Textual input is received from a user via an application, a profile metadata is retrieved based on the textual input, a script is generated based on the profile metadata, and the script is transmitted to the application, wherein the script provides auto-completion of information corresponding to the textual input using the profile metadata.

Abstract: A system, device and method for providing interactive content on a computing device is provided. In an embodiment, a computing device in the form of a portable computing device is configured to execute a primary web browser application and a secondary web browser application. The primary web browser application is configured to generate a web-page including a fillable form on the portable computing device. The secondary web browser application is configured to receive the input for the fillable form by generating a mirrored fillable form, and to automatically populate the fillable form on the web-page using the completed version of the mirrored fillable form.

Abstract: The method of generating a graphical resume allows a user to produce either a conventional textual resume or a resume in a graphical format. A database is established and a plurality of templates are stored in the database. The templates include an informational template, a textual resume template and a plurality of graphical resume templates. Each of the templates includes at least one fillable resume field. The informational template is displayed to the user and bibliographic data entered by the user is stored in the database. A plurality of resume formats are then displayed. The plurality of resume formats correspond to the textual and the graphical resume templates. Upon selection of one of the resume formats, the at least one fillable resume field of the corresponding one of the textual and the graphical resume templates is filled with the bibliographic data stored in the database to produce a resume.

Abstract: A system for creating image and or text-based projects from a computing appliance includes a server connected to a network, the server having access to a processor, a data repository, and a non-transitory physical medium. Software running from the non-transitory physical medium provides a first function for establishing a client server connection between the server and a computing appliance connected to the network, a second function for initiating an active data session between the computing appliance and a data server, a third function for storing a database of zip codes with the relevant cities and states on the user-operated computing appliance, a fourth function for detecting when a user enters a zip code onto a form field, a fifth function for looking up the entered zip code, and a sixth function for retrieving the associated city and state information and auto-populating the text fields associated with the zip code.

Abstract: A system for generating customized badges. The system includes a computer, a printer coupled to the computer, a display coupled to the computer, and a computer readable medium. The computer readable medium includes instructions for opening a badge profile, providing a data entry screen based on the profile, receiving data in the data entry screen, and printing customized badges on the printer based on the received data. The badge profile defines a size, type, and location of data to be printed on the customized badges.

Abstract: In a method for computer-aided transfer of data from a document application into a data application having a set of data fields, a document is displayed in the document application opened on a computer with a display device, and wherein from the document data are to be transferred into the data application also opened on the computer. A name of a data field into which data are to be transferred is displayed on the display device. Via identification of a corresponding data value in the document on the display device, a character string representing the data value is automatically read out from the document and entered into the data field corresponding to the data field name in the data application via actuation of a predetermined button.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for incorporating all or part of a database and/or data sources and data management interface into a transferable file that is in the form of a platform-independent, intelligent document and provides a user in real-time with a platform-independent file having data and a data management interface. The intelligent cross-platform document is generated by synthesizing information from diverse data sources, such as, but without limitation, database, architecture files, icons, images, reference data files, web links. The generation of the file encapsulated with data and an information management interface may be conducted in real-time and allows for all or part of an information management system to be transferred in a cross-platform file to a user that is not directly connected to the information management system.

Abstract: Embodiments of a computer system, a method and a computer-program product (e.g., software) for use with the computer system are described. These embodiments may be used to assist users while they are filling in forms. In particular, based at least in part on a current location of a user (such as a location of a portable electronic device associated with the user), an association with location and non-location information for an entity may be identified. For example, a predetermined relationship between the user's current location and the location of the entity may be accessed. Alternatively, a relationship between the user's current location and the location of the entity may be determined, for example, based at least in part on proximity. This identified location and/or non-location information for the entity may be used to fill in one or more fields in a form associated with an application.

Abstract: A method for populating forms based on a user interview. The method includes generating, using a computer processor, binary questions according to a first rule, receiving answers to the binary questions from the user, adjusting, using the computer processor, a binary question based on answers according to a second rule during the user interview, and identifying, using the computer processor, forms from a forms library based on the answers according to a third rule. The method also includes presenting based on the answers, data entry fields of forms to the user in a unified format, where related data entry fields are grouped together to form data entry menus in the unified format, receiving data from the user for the data entry fields, populating a portion of the forms to generate populated forms based on the data, and storing the populated forms in a repository on behalf of the user.

Abstract: An application management system, including a learning robot/learning agent adapted to generate control data (eg automation script) by monitoring interactions (404,406) between a customer service application (CSA) and a user of the application and an execution robot for sending application data to the application on the basis of the control data, is described. A contact center management system whose components are configurable by a contact center administrator is also described. A relationship management system that manages a relationship between a business requiring a contact center and a customer service representative broker is also described.

Abstract: A system for generating a report based on image data is disclosed. A template selector (1) selecting a template from a plurality of templates, the template defining a structure for the report and data fields to be filled in for the report, wherein the template further defines associations between data fields and view descriptors, wherein a view descriptor defines an image type and a presentation mode of the image type. A data field presenter (2) presenting a representation of the data fields of the template to a user. An image dataset selector (4) automatically selecting at least one image dataset having the image type defined by the view descriptor associated with the selected at least one data field. A view generator (5) automatically generating a view of the at least one selected image dataset based on the presentation mode defined by the view descriptor associated with the selected at least one data field.

Abstract: Automatically populating and/or generating tables using data extracted from files is disclosed. In some embodiments, in response to receiving an indication that at least a portion of a data object is desired to be included in a table, a set of one or more data values associated with the data object is selected for inclusion in the table and automatically included as an entry corresponding to the data object in the table. In various embodiments, the table may comprise an existing table and/or a newly generated table.

Abstract: Methods and systems for transforming at least a portion of a physical document into digital data. One method includes obtaining a first plurality of data items automatically extracted from a first physical document and a validated value for a data field. The method also includes automatically identifying a first linked data item included in the first plurality of data items that is linked to the validated value and setting a physical position included in a rule to the physical position of the first linked data item. In addition, the method includes obtaining a second plurality of data items automatically extracted from a second physical document and automatically identifying a candidate data item included in the second plurality of data items based on the rule. Furthermore, the method includes automatically populating a value for the data field for the second physical document based on the candidate data item.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods and computer program products for creating and modifying labels for use by pharmaceutical dispensing machines are provided. A pharmaceutical dispensing apparatus includes a touch screen, a processor, memory coupled to the processor, and a computer program residing in the memory that is executable by the processor for guiding a user through a process of designing a label via the touch screen. The computer program displays a label template adapted to receive a plurality of data fields inputted by a user therein, wherein each data field is adapted to receive and display respective data. The computer program includes a label wizard that guides a user through the process of designing a label within the label template.

Abstract: A form identification apparatus includes a form registration unit and a candidate registered form extracting unit. The form registration unit registers stylized forms as registered forms, and sets, for each of the registered forms, content of form processing and a threshold for determining a degree of difference in accordance with the content of the form processing. The candidate registered form extracting unit extracts, as a candidate registered form, the registered forms in which content of form processing executable on a to-be-processed form has been set, based on a degree of difference between an image of the to-be-processed form and an image of each of the registered forms and the threshold.

In one aspect, a system and method normalize an image of a document and identify the relative positions of vertical and horizontal lines in the normalized image. The relative positions of vertical and horizontal lines of the normalized image are the model of the document image. The model may be stored in a record, such as an array. The system and method compare the relative positions of vertical and horizontal lines of the model to the relative positions of vertical and horizontal lines of other models to identify a matching model.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for automated verification and entry of customer facility location data. The customer facility location data is subsequently used for the computer-based dispatching of service technicians in a resource-efficient fashion.
