Abstract: A method for storing, organizing and providing remote electronic access to documents. A cover sheet including a standard set of identification data characterizing each document is developed and stored. A digital version of each document is created and stored by scanning each contract. Each digital version includes a scanned image and a searchable text file, wherein the text is overlaid with the image. An index of bookmarks identifying sections of the digital version of each document is generated. Selected fields of information are captured from the digital version of the document. The documents are organized and cross-referenced in a database that includes the captured information and additional information related to each document. Designated parties are alerted of critical dates associated with each document. Remote electronic access to the documents is provided over the internet.

Abstract: A context control interface may include a context name field that is arranged and configured to identify a working context, one or more attribute name fields that are configured to identify one or more attributes that define the working context and one or more attribute value fields that are arranged and configured to correspond to the attribute name fields and to define one or more values for the attribute name fields. The attribute name fields and the corresponding attribute value fields may be mapped to a first set of fields in a first application and may be mapped to second set of fields in a second application and the attributes and the values populate the first set of fields and the second set of fields such that the working context is persistent across the first application and the second application, where the first application differs from the second application.

Methods include receiving visitor information via a wireless communication medium, extracting at least one piece of data from the received visitor information, populating respective fields of a registration form with the extracted at least one piece of data, and based on the populated registration form, determining whether to register a visitor associated with the received visitor information.

The method may also include using the plurality of fields to request information associated with the plurality of fields from an identity repository and receiving the information associated with the plurality of fields from the identity repository. The method may additionally include using the information associated with the plurality of fields to populate the plurality of fields of the electronic form.

Abstract: Presented is a method of posting content to a web site. A user input is obtained on a machine readable paper with a predefined template. Later, an electronic image of the machine readable paper is captured along with the user input. The electronic image of the machine readable paper is decoded to identify the predefined template and the predefined template is searched against a repository to find a web site corresponding to the predefined template of the machine readable paper. A web site based on user input is created or modified depending upon whether a web site corresponding to the predefined template of the machine readable paper is found.

Abstract: Animation and visuals are displayed when automatically filling/changing values within a document. A scan animation may be displayed to assist a user in understanding that an action is about to occur using their recent edit(s). A fill animation may be displayed while the suggested values are automatically filled within the document. For example, the suggested values may be displayed according to an uncommitted state (e.g. light grey text) as compared to a committed state (e.g. black text) of related values. The suggested values may be accepted/rejected while they are displayed according to the uncommitted state. When the suggested values are rejected, the suggested values are removed from the display. When the suggested values are accepted, the suggested values are transitioned to the committed state. When a user performs an edit on one or more of the suggested values, a change animation may be displayed.

The method further comprises providing a set of graphical objects, each having a set of object gridlines for delimiting important graphical features. Each of the set of object gridlines has a span. The method further comprises selecting and placing the set of graphical objects one by one within the container. Each of the selected graphical objects are positioned by snapping the position of the span to a non-empty gridline or by adding a new gridline. The method further comprises determining at least one pair of colliding gridlines. Colliding gridlines have a parallel direction and at least one pair of spans which at least partially overlap in the parallel direction. The method further comprises inserting page layout constraints between the at least one pair of colliding gridlines.

Based on the received user input parameter data, the graphical user interface program can deactivate one or more parameter input fields. Abstract: In the presently preferred embodiment of the invention, every time a user submits a form the client software tries to match the submitted information with the stored profile of that user. If a match is discovered, the program tags the field of the recognized data with a corresponding type. The resulting profile can be used after that to help all subsequent users to fill the same form.

Abstract: A system for automatically completing fields in online forms, such as login forms and new user registration forms, which employs a Master Cookie File containing sets of records associated with the user, his or her accounts or web sites, and registered values associated with form tags (e.g. username, password, address, email, telephone, etc.). When the user encounters another form, the MCF is automatically searched for matching values and form tags, primarily from the same account or web site, or alternatively from other accounts or sites. A flowing pop-up menu is displayed nearby the form fields from which the user can select values to automatically complete the form. Automatic account information updating, value expiration management, mapping of favorite values, and sharing of values are optional, enhanced functions of the invention.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a form management system that generates a form ID of the form to be created, on the basis of a form data ID, which is generated based on a template ID generated from a form template and form data to be overlaid thereon. In addition, the form management system may be capable of identifying and managing the form template and the form data for the generated form.

Abstract: An input of document data, in which a rule for retrieving an object from a database has been specified for each region, is received. For each region, the number of times that the database is referenced for retrieving the object is counted by applying the rule. A reference value and each of the counted are compared. For each region, it is determined that the object is to be inserted in the region if the result of the comparison is that the number of times is less than or equal to the reference value, and that the object is not to be inserted in the region if the number of times is greater than the reference value. A preview of the document data is displayed with, for each region, the object being inserted in the region or the object not being inserted in the region in accordance with the determination.

In one aspect, a system and method normalize an image of a document and identify the relative positions of the vertical and horizontal lines in the normalized image. The relative positions of the vertical and horizontal lines of the normalized image are the model of the document image. The model may be stored in a record, such as an array. The system and method compare the relative positions of the horizontal and vertical lines of the model to the relative positions of horizontal and vertical lines of other models to identify a matching model.

Abstract: Systems and methods automatically generate a model of a form or other document and identify the form or other document. In one aspect, a system and method normalize an image of a document and identify the relative positions of vertical and horizontal lines in the normalized image. The relative positions of vertical and horizontal lines of the normalized image are the model of the document image. The model may be stored in a record, such as an array. The system and method compare the relative positions of vertical and horizontal lines of the model to the relative positions of vertical and horizontal lines of other models to identify a matching model.

Abstract: A method for using a website, including detecting, using an agent executing on a central processing unit (CPU) and operatively coupled to a financial management application (FMA), a user accessing a webpage of the website by comparing a web address submitted by the user to a pre-determined web address of the webpage, analyzing the webpage based on a pre-determined template to identify a data entry field, identifying, using the agent executing on the CPU, data managed within the FMA for populating the data entry field, wherein the data is identified by comparing the data entry field to a data model of the FMA, retrieving the data managed within the FMA to generate retrieved data, and populating, using the agent executing on the CPU, the data entry field using the retrieved data based on the data model of the FMA.

Abstract: An approach is provided in which a data collection system loads a user interface form on a display screen. The user interface form includes an entry field and an extraction formula with a corresponding element type that adheres to an industry-specific schema. The data collection system receives a data packet from a broadcast device, which includes an element value and an element type identifier adhering to the same industry-specific schema. In turn, the data collection system determines whether the element type identifier matches the element type and, if so, the data collection system populates the entry field on the display screen with the element value.

The system can be readily customized for use in other markets and scenarios and easily adapted into uses by emergency management. The device incorporates a GPS radio and/or cell phones with, pre-programmed instructions which are uploaded automatically in the device's memory via wireless technology prior to the unit's first use. Radios on the units can enable the searchers to audibly communicate with each other without cell towers. The system can be employed by cleanup teams, insurance adjusters, and any number of pre/post response teams focused on mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery operations. The system can contain a modifiable and functional, virtual badge and can export data gathered in the field, as well as integrate this data with other, pre-existing software via software APIs contained within the system and cell phone software.

A user requests information from a network client which calls the program component to request information and upon determination that the requested information is not stored in a buffer memory the requested information is downloaded from the network server. The form fields in the hypertext document are filled with the information and displayed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically assigning items to printable media are disclosed. A computer readable medium is in communication with a computing device and includes programming instructions for electronically obtaining a first template that includes a plurality of first content items, each including a first content area. For each first content item, first content area properties and first content item properties are identified. A second template including a plurality of second content areas is electronically obtained. For each second content area, second content area properties, second content item properties and content rules are automatically identified. For each first content item, it may be determined whether a first content item corresponds to a second content area based on the rules. The first content item may be automatically assigned to the second content area. A representation of each assigned content item may be printed.

Abstract: A method of sharing user data with a plurality of web-based financial calculators includes obtaining a user request for a selected web-based financial calculator from the plurality of web-based financial calculators and identifying at least one input data element required by the selected web-based financial calculator. The method also includes searching a relational database, storing data shared by the plurality of web-based financial calculators, for the at least one identified input data element and determining whether there are any values in the relational database for the at least one identified input data element that are associated with the user. The method further includes populating the at least one identified input data element in the selected web-based financial calculator with a value associated with the user for the at least one identified input data element and providing the selected web-based financial calculator to the user.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus capable of previously checking a setting mistake when a macro button is generated and preventing a macro using a reserved word from being inappropriately executed. A macro acquisition unit obtains the macro. A user information acquisition unit obtains user information associated with a user of the image processing apparatus. A replacing unit, when the macro obtained by the macro acquisition unit is a macro including a reserved word that is to be replaced with a portion of the user information, replaces the reserved word with the portion of the user information obtained by the user information acquisition unit. A check unit checks whether the macro replaced by the replacing unit can be normally executed. A notification unit notifies a check result of the check unit to a previously defined user.

Abstract: A method for submitting information for an engagement is disclosed. The method might include the steps of generating a tracking screen for tracking the submission of a plurality of files, including a tax file and an image file, each file having the same client identification code, receiving the tax file from a first client device, and updating the tracking screen to reflect the submission of the tax file. The method further might include the steps of receiving an image file from a second client device, updating the tracking screen to reflect the submission of the image file, and transmitting the plurality of files to a remote server system.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for retrieving a printable media template from an identifier that is associated with printable media. The identifier is retrieved by a reader and a controller that are operatively coupled to receive and process the information. The controller includes a template engine that retrieves a printable media template corresponding to the information received from the identifier. A method for retrieving and generating a printable media template is also provided. A printable media package is also included that identifies a printable template for printing content on the printable media.

Abstract: A system and method for automatically generating flowcharts based on jobs within a mainframe job scheduling system is disclosed. The system may be interfaced through a web browser over a network (e.g., Internet) in order to configure a job flowchart request. The system includes a job flow utility employing rules and logic to execute a Job Control Language (JCL) script thereby invoking the creation of a job schedule based from a scheduling library and generates a delimited set of data that is stored within a database or saved as a delimited text file. The system also enables a user to view a job flowchart online or download the text-delimited file to open within existing charting applications.

Abstract: A mobile station is arranged to determine its location, which is searched against street addresses from a database, and at least one matching street address is retrieved. The street address is searched on the mobile station and/or over the network. Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed technology provide a system and method for automatically filling paper form with electronic data. The system receives from a user a scanned image of a paper form that includes a plurality of fields. The system then retrieves a schema map that maps the plurality of fields in the paper form to a plurality of fields in an electronic data record associated with the user. Next, the system retrieves data values of the fields in the electronic data record based on the schema map. The system also synthesizes the retrieved data values and the scanned image to create an image of the paper form in which the fields are filled with the retrieved data values.

Abstract: A form management system is provided that bundles individual electronic form instances into a single bundled form. Form field names in the electronic form instances and scripts are renamed at the time the form instances are merged into a bundle. In this manner, common names can be assigned to individual form fields in individual forms and then only the form field names in electronic forms selected for the bundle are renamed. Furthermore, the same renaming scheme is also executed in the scripts associated with the individual form documents and fields. As such, the form field names in the scripts of bundled documents are altered to reference the renamed form fields in the corresponding component forms.

At a second instant, the field flag value is changed to a second flag state indicating that the computer-generated value is to be used during consumption of the dual value attribute. At a third instant, the computer-generated field value is provided for consumption by a software application based on the flag value being set to the second flag state.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for autocompleting form fields based on observed values. In general, in one implementation, the techniques include observing values entered in form field objects, generating likelihood assessments for possible values to be entered in a current form field object based on the observed values, the likelihood assessments indicating relative probability of the possible values being entered in the current form field object, and predicting a value for the current form field object based on the generated likelihood assessments. The techniques also include generating at least two likelihood assessments for each of the possible values, and aggregating the at least two likelihood assessments for each of the possible values. Generation of likelihood assessments can involve determining semantic similarity between form fields, including comparing field names with a semantic category, and generation of likelihood assessments can also involve comparing entered value ordering information.

Abstract: Aspects of the present invention relate to systems, methods and devices for modifying and managing form documents with an application that receives input from an imaging device user interface and from other sources. In one aspect, media content is selectively applied to a content description template to author media in a content description. The content description template provides a temporal structure for the applied media content. A content representation template is selected and combined with the temporally structured media in the content description to specify rendering criteria and generate a content description and representation for one or more of rendering, sharing, and exporting the temporally structured authored media.

Abstract: A user, such as a merchant, populates a form, such as an on-boarding form from a payment provider, with information unique to the user. In one embodiment, the user enters a URL address. The information is communicated to the payment provider, who then obtains additional information about the user based on the information. In one embodiment, web scraping results in a name, address, a phone number, and/or an email address for the user. The form is populated with this information by the payment provider and returned to the user for confirmation or correction. As a result, the form filling is easier for the user.

Abstract: The method of generating a graphical resume allows a user to produce either a conventional textual resume or a resume in a graphical format. A database is established and a plurality of templates are stored in the database. The templates include an informational template, a textual resume template and a plurality of graphical resume templates. Each of the templates includes at least one fillable resume field. The informational template is displayed to the user and bibliographic data entered by the user is stored in the database. A plurality of resume formats are then displayed. The plurality of resume formats correspond to the textual and the graphical resume templates. Upon selection of one of the resume formats, the at least one fillable resume field of the corresponding one of the textual and the graphical resume templates is filled with the bibliographic data stored in the database to produce a resume.
