Abstract: A user interface and method are provided for allowing text to be previewed in multiple fonts simultaneously. Text in fonts of different types and/or sizes may be previewed in a variety of formats in a single preview area. Abstract: The method and system of merges user-supplied electronic content with relevant ads based upon relevancy factors discerned form the ads and the content. Further, profiles and session histories of user-visitors are monitored and ad relevancy factors discerned form the profiles and session histories are employed to obtain user-relevant ads. The content relevant ads and user relevant ads are inserted into a preformed web page in addition to the user-supplied content. A revenue splitting module shares the ad referral or sales revenue from the click throughs to advertiser designated web sites. The relevancy factors relate to one or more of the supplied content, the user who uploaded the content, the user profile (previously input by the user), current session history, past session history, the user-group profiles and any user referral source. A comparator matches relevancy factors and ads. Ad selection by category, hierarchical or orthogonal match and high pay referral fees.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and apparatus for creating an interactive interface allowing a user to create a virtual design on-screen. Specifications of the design created by the user may be subsequently transmitted to a server for high-resolution rendering and printing on an adhesive appliqué or other material adapted to receive print. In some embodiments, the created product is adapted to fit a particular device, such as a cell phone, laptop, personal digital assistant, snowboard, boat, or motor vehicle. Alternatively, the printed product can be adhesively applied to a portion of a wall, a window, or upon the side of a building. In one embodiment, the interactive interface allows the user to create their own personalized product by using a combination of images, colors, text, and shapes, specified for a particular CAD that will print onto an adhesive skin. In this manner, the adhesive skin can be made to look exactly like the finished product of a personally customized design presented on a computer screen.

Abstract: A color printing system includes a color monitor and printer having different color gamuts. A color chart is printed out by the printer. A light source outputs light to the color printer and a color sensor detects the light reflected from the color chart printout. The sensor outputs sensor color values representing the light received from the color chart printout. A print-preview matrix is calculated from the monitor color chart values and the sensor color values. An image is input to and displayed by the monitor and is converted into a print-preview image using the print-preview matrix. The monitor displays the monitor image and the print-preview image before printing the image.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and user interface wherein a multifunction copier, equipped with a Universal Serial Bus port, accepts data directly from a USB-Data Storage Device (USB-DSD) for the purpose of printing, e-mailing, and faxing. The system contains a copier containing a computer-controller having at least one USB port interface. The controller has a service that can either be enabled or disabled by a system administrator. The service is capable of performing email, printing and facsimile functions. When a user inserts a USB-DSD into the USB port on the controller, the service presents the user with the three options stated above. Once the user selects the desired function, the service then invokes a document conversion utility, which scans the USB-DSD and displays the supported files found on the DSD. Each desired function will have multiple options for a user to choose.

Abstract: While a user is viewing in a first display area a portion of an electronic document intended to be printed to produce a printed product, presenting to the user in a second display area a representation of the physical outline of the printed product and an indicator that indicates to the user the size and location of the electronic document portion relative to the printed product. When the user positions a cursor in the second display area, a second indicator image, visually distinctive from the first indicator image, is displayed. The user can position the second indicator at a desired location relative to the representation and request that the portion of the electronic document at that second indicator location be displayed in the first display area.

Abstract: The invention relates generally to shared annotation systems and provides a method for automatically navigating a document in a display that has at least a first portion and a second portion. An annotation related to the document may be generated by a user at a first client. The annotation can be received and associated with a first indication in the document. An input to navigate a first portion of a display may be received from a user at the second client. The input causes the first indication to be displayed in the first portion of the display; and in response to the input, the annotation is automatically displayed in a second portion of the display at the second client.

Abstract: Displaying a calendar user interface is disclosed. An indication that a time period associated with a calendar bar in the calendar user interface has been edited is received. It is determined whether a date display element corresponding to a date in the time period in the calendar user interface is full. In the event that the date display element is full, all calendar bars associated with the date are modified. Printing spreadsheet data is disclosed. A request to print the spreadsheet data is received. In response to the request, the spreadsheet data is analyzed to determine a printing format including a print area for a plurality of pages. A request to the print the spreadsheet data using the determined printing format is sent.

Abstract: A method is described for displaying a preview image of a document in which a plurality of constituents is defined. The includes setting an authority for each user with respect to each constituent; displaying on a display device a content of at least one constituent as a preview image; designating a user for whom the preview image is displayed from among users whose authority is set; determining whether the designated user has an authority to display the content of the at least one constituent; and restricting display of a first portion of the content corresponding to each constituent for which the user is determined to have no authority and displaying a second portion of the content corresponding to each constituent for which the user is determined to have the authority. A document management apparatus for implementing the method is described which may be implemented, for example, using a computer.

Abstract: A system and method for gathering CRM information in a variable imaging application utilize keywords which are associated with each image of a number of digital images. A variable imaging job stream is generated containing one or more of the digital images. Keyword metadata may also be inserted into the variable imaging job stream, and the variable imaging job stream is received by a VI production system. The variable imaging job stream is processed by the VI production system, thereby identifying the keywords previously associated with the contained images, and also extracting the inserted keyword metadata. A CRM output is generated containing the identified keywords and the extracted keyword metadata.

Abstract: A VI production system and method for automatic review of variable imaging job output includes a VI interpreter includes raster image processing for producing electronic output document images based on a variable imaging job included in a VI job stream. A proofing process includes obtaining sample document images from the output document images, and for each obtained sample document image, performing a review procedure. The review procedure includes comparing the obtained sample document image to a corresponding expected document image selected from the expected database to determine differences between the obtained sample document image and the corresponding expected document image. Based on at least one difference being determined, the differences are resolved by displaying the obtained sample document image on the user interface, indicating in the displayed sample document image each of the differences, and performing a difference procedure based on an operator input.

Abstract: The subject application is directed to a system and method for previewing document processing media. Image data representing a sheet medium on which rendering of an associated electronic document is available is first received.
