Abstract: The present invention provides a Web page edit screen that allows an author to edit parent and child documents collectively while showing, in an appropriate manner, the content of the child document embedded in the parent document. Associated documents of a Web page to be edited are managed as managed documents individually. Document-by-document structure information is derived from the content of each managed document. Web page structure information is then assembled by connecting the document-by-document structure information based on embed-related code. Edit screen data is generated based on the content of the managed documents and the Web page structure information to generate a browser-type edit screen. The content of a relevant managed document is synchronized with the edited content on the edit screen. The edit screen data is matched with the edited content on the edit screen.

Abstract: A content management tool can assist publishers/authors in managing access rights and other parameters related to the display of documents online. The documents may include books and other documents that are traditionally published as printed works. The content management tool may display presentation parameters for the documents that relate to how the documents are to be shown to users when accessing the documents. The content management tool receives modifications to the presentation parameters and applies the modified versions of the presentation parameters to future accesses of the documents by users. The content management tool can, for example, be used to modify the portions of the document available for display, turn on/off certain portions of the document, manage links displayed concurrently with the document, and/or manage advertising related to the document.

Abstract: A document analysis system receives multiple concepts along with multiple reference documents and generates sensory indicators that assist a researcher in assessing the relevance of each of the documents to the concepts. In one exemplary aspect, the document analysis system displays a table of keywords separated into blocks, each block of keywords corresponding to one of the concepts. Each block is colored according to the prevalence of any keyword within a given keyword group. The color of a block thus indicates the relative presence of a concept in the document. The document analysis system also determines a unique color for each block of keywords for highlighting in the text of the document. In this manner a researcher can quickly identify passages that contain multiple concepts. Additionally, the researcher is provided the ability to quickly locate reference characters, figure numbers and patent numbers in the document.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for monitoring and detecting changes in files attached to incoming emails. In one embodiment, if files are attached to an outgoing email, the change service uniquely tags each of the attached files and optionally stores local or remote copies of the tagged files. Additionally, in embodiments, the change service monitors and intercepts incoming emails. If files are attached to an incoming email, the change service identifies whether the files are tagged in a manner unique to the compare service. The change service then matches uniquely tagged files in the incoming email to corresponding files previously tagged by the change service. The change service then compares the two documents and generates reports that identify changes in the received document in relation to the transmitted document. Further, in embodiments, the change service provides visual indicators of the changes within the email application.

Rather than displaying just the final position on the display, the initial position, the intermediate position, and the final position of the element are all displayed. An intermediate control may be used to change the first set of one or more layout processes by moving the displayed intermediate position of the element. Abstract: In response to a user touching one of a plurality of pieces of content arranged on a display in a two-dimensional manner, a browsing system and method may transform the pieces of content into a three-dimensional arrangement, with the desired piece of content being displayed on the very top and overlapping adjacent pieces of content. The plurality of pieces of content can be images, each of which may be associated with a document. The images may be sorted based on the associated documents, for instance, the relevance of the associated documents with respect to a context or topic. The images in the three-dimensional arrangement may have a size which decreases from the desired image in both horizontal and vertical directions such that only a portion of the images being overlapped is exposed.

First set non-intersecting elements are removed from an intermediate representation of the document, and second set non-intersecting elements are added to the intermediate representation, while the intermediate representation is not equivalent to the second representation; and respective iterations of the intermediate representation are output, such as to a display to depict a transition from the first representation of the document to the second representation of the document.

Abstract: Architecture that facilitates the attachment of multiple visualization types (e.g., charts) to the data of a grid and the presentation of the visualization next to the grid. The infrastructure allows each data view to be associated with a set of visualizations. These visualizations are rendered along with the grid (in a separate presentation pane) so that the user does not have to switch context to perform analysis. The visualizations available include charts that show aggregate and/or non-aggregate data. In a server farm scenario, all user interactions such as drill-downs are provided. Server farm drill-downs for these visualizations can be obtained using MHTML (MIME hypertext markup language). The visualizations can be automatically updated when filters are applied on the grid, and when drill-down is performed on the visualization, the grid is automatically updated. The visualizations can be consumed from a web-based browser client and/or thick client, for example.

Abstract: A computer program product for standardizing the appearance of related accessories installed on a base product. The base product and related accessories can be visualized from a plurality of view-angles on a configurator application. An accessory is loaded onto the base product by an image transformation tool that manipulates the accessory to fit onto the base product. The transformed accessory is saved as a t-matrix profile for each view-angle of the base product, and the t-matrix profiles are associated with an accessory classification, which includes additional accessories that similarly fit the base product. The visualization data associated with the base product can then be updated with the t-matrix profiles. A customer GUI is provided for viewing the accessories fitted onto the base product where the transformations can automatically transform other accessories in the same accessory classification on the base product. In an embodiment, the base product is a vehicle.

The method and system employ multiple synchronized views for formulas, one view presenting the linear text required by the software application and the other views presenting clear indications of the meaning of that text. Examples of such views include mathematically typeset formulas and hierarchical diagrams that reveal the formula's structure. The method and system parse formulas to determine their structure, display that structure in multiple views, and provide a variety of controls and aids to assist in analyzing, debugging, and editing the formula so that it has the intended meaning and result. Abstract: A method for discovering and installing web application plugins is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method includes initiating a client-side component of a server-based web application. The client side-component hosts a first document. The method opens an inline frame, such as an IFrame or Web Worker, within the first document that hosts a second document. The method uses cross-document messaging to communicate, from the second document to the first document, metadata describing a plugin's capabilities and metadata describing an API to access the plugin's capabilities via cross-document messaging. The method utilizes the capabilities of the plugin using cross-document messaging in accordance with the API. A corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.

In the first format a first page of the multipage document is completely and successfully run through a parsing process before document data of subsequent pages are run though the parsing process.
